Hello from Malaysia 🇲🇾, after I heard the announcement that Ferrari is gonna make a comeback in Hot Wheels, I just got mixed feelings about it. I love Ferrari and I have 8 old Ferraris in my HW collection. For positives I think it’s great cuz it’s been a decade since Hot Wheels broke up with Ferrari. And for the negatives, scalpers that lurks in the shadows of our hobby will become more excited and gonna completely going out of hand.
Shared with my fellow friends about the news, and we gave up instantly. It's a shame that the country hosted HW production but we faced the highest hurdles
Grats on chase bro. The chromatic paint from inno is insane. Honestly, the detail that these brands like inno64, tarmac, mini gt, igntion model put into their crafts is unmatched.. Why pay a scalper for hot wheels that are priced two, three or even four times as much. Its not worth it. Mattel could never reach this level of detail. Also the lbwk is such a big F U to Ferrari. Yes you can improve a Ferrari.
Kaido house, mini gt, inno64, pop race, etc are leagues above hot wheels in quality, detail and price. I love hot wheels and always will collect the ones i want (and xtras only to do customs), but they arent my #1 top favorite brand in my collection. Congrats on the subs and hella cool ferrari inno64 chase!
i was shopping the other day in a grocery store and went to check out hot wheels sections, as you do, and i see a liberty walk white r35 gtr. Though some kid had literally stolen the car from it, its just so sad to see. Just to have the car itself and resort to robbery.
If you crack the screws on the inno64 F40 and loosen 1/2 turn to a turn usually those wheels will loosen up. Ive done that too all mine that were a lil tight of a roller and it helped for sure. 😬👍
Sad that not only can I not own a real Ferrari now I can't even own HOTWHEELS RLC Ferrari. It's pathetic they are ruining the experience. INNO64, miniGT here I come. Great video!
That cars like 200$ at chase, not only are they way easier to get chase but the profit margin is huge. Kills scalpers because at numbers 250$ gives you only a 50% chance at a chase even then so theyre too risky to scalp but generous to the collectors
I grew up in the 80's, so F40 has a special place in my heart. I just found and bought a 1/14 Ferrari F40 from Rastar, it's an RC but the details are good (apart from the black driver seats, going to repaint it to red) it looks beautiful as a display car and its only $37! It has a working pop-up headlights and it's huuuge!
I ordered my first RLC model (Nissan Skyline GT-R) almost 2 months ago, and it still hasn't arrived. I live in Germany, and it cost me exactly 50 euros. I'm not sure if I would buy an RLC again
Good things come to those who wait. Congrats Lar! You make good points as well, which is the reason I’ve been buying up all my favorite mini gt models. We’ve already had a record number of new diecast collectors enter the hobby in the past year, and I’m seeing them branch out from hot wheels
That F40 Looks amazing in chrome. While Hot Wheels have their charm with RLC and they'll surely make RLC Ferraris now that they have the licence, i'd still prefer the Inno 64 just for the superior details it offers. And you're right, most people won't ever open their RLCs (not everyone opens their RLC like Lamley does for example) so it's just ends up like any static model from other premium brands. The term "chase" refers to the act of collectors chasing for this particular variant due to its rarity. It usually sports no paint (usually the wheels will take the respective colour instead) or paint with a chrome finish. Some collectors hunt for chase models to complete their collection and some hunt for them to sell them at a higher price.

Even premium lines are being scalped. Literally 2x or 3x the srp. Definitely saving up for a much better diecast (mini gt or others).
Someone gave me two Inno64s for Christmas the chrome F40 and Liberty Walk RX7 and they didn't even know the chases existed and they were both chases

I don't really like it that much. Fortunately, I prefer the much cheaper, regularly looking F40'es in red.
