I had wondered what Mrs. Brown's bag HQ looked like! So cool that you guys chose this space this time. It's so organized, I love it! I want to give a shout out to all the grocery stores and their employees. I checked groceries for 8 years and I know how hard it is to check, to stock, to interact with people, and now these employees have to deal with all these stressed out people. Thank you thank you thank you, for staying open, for taking care of your communities. You are all on the front line and you all deserve a big thank you. I would like to say both of your sweaters are so beautiful. Just wow.
I'm 67 years old and my husband is 72, and our kids have taken over going to the grocery store for us. They are making sure we are staying at home. We live just south of Seattle Washington, and our state is like shut down everything but grocery stores and pharmacy's. We in Washington are taking this thing very seriously. I'm so glad that you will be podcasting each week. I want you to know that you really do help in this time. Blessings and love to you both.

"In our neighborhood, someone on the mailing list suggested putting rainbows in your window so children can go on a rainbow hunt. It’s really taken off. Our neighbors created one using books of different colors. Greg put out our pride flag"
I thought it was Turtle Dove. I am on my second. I am, normally, a L or XL. I made a L. My arm holes were at my hips and the sleeves were about 3 inches. With my little round face and short round body, and glasses, I looked like the inchworm, from the old cartoons. 😂 My granddaughter loves it. I am now making a Small. Wish me luck.

I am doing a little knitting. I did a Facetime quilting worship with my niece the other day. She wanted to know how to do a quilt pattern I had developed We had a lot of fun. So, I got a call today from my doctor's office. I had an appointment/consult for Friday. They asked if I would like to video conference, and they instructed me on setting it up on my phone. How cool is that?
I saw on the national news today that people put their Christmas lights on again because it brings them joy. Turn them on again Jodi!

A tip my mum gave me when my kids would use a half a toilet roll every time they went to the toilet - crimp the cardboard so it’s not round, and then a million pieces don’t get spun off and used! It makes a noise and only about 4 pieces of tissue are used. That tip is for all the awesome people that haven’t stashed 100 rolls. 😘

My local Safeway has shopping hours for Seniors. Very considerate!
Walmart also has early hours for senior citizens which is great because then we Will have freshly stocked items and less exposure to the virus
If you are caught driving 30 Klms away from your address on your licence you get fined $1600.00.
I bought a mattress in a box 📦 and I can tell you ladies I am very VERY comfortable I share with my doggie Louis. Traveling and sleeping in hundreds of beds since 2011 I knew I would be fine. Hugs ladies.
I vote for virtual knit / crochet group. That helps so much to keep folks connected. I would love to find groups like that.
I would love weekly episodes! Something that brings me joy is my animals. I have Alpacas and bunnies! Also my knitting is bringing me lots of happiness! I have a bunch of projects that I want to knit and am Knitting. The free thing that I am stoked on is 2 weeks of free blueprint (craftsy) classes!

I can't beleive that about Air Canada that is insane! We had a flight booked with West Jet and while their policy is nice... they're impossible to get ahold of! I really really hope we can get ahold of them before we fly.
Anyway, I already love you ladies, but I love you more for taking the extra time to make some light in our days by podcasting
Go to UA-cam and look for the movie ”Tell Them Of Us”. It is a movie/documentary that tells the story of. World War I family that sends two sons off to war. The movie is full of hand knits, all of which were knitted by volunteer knitters. The movie is in parts so make sure you also go to the part where they interview all of the volunteer knitting’s. The movie has available an accompanying book called “Centenary Stitches”. It contains background material PLUS 50+ patterns for the knits seen in the movie. It is worth tracking both the movie and the book down. Enjoy!
I totally understand. Knitting is my minute away from reality lately, working in the Medical field right now is rough and a little sketchy as well! So a nice rewind to come home and knit while I can 🙂🥰 Thank You ladies so much for bringing some joy and light to our days!
It's been very crazy working in frontline care right now. Are you being spammed everyday with emails with new advice and changes to your terms and conditions of working. I get so many everyday, I've started to get head spin every time I open my mail box 😂😉 I have lots of knitting on the go right now and that's keeping me sane.

We were supposed to be going to Disney World for my 80th birthday on April 8th. We are seriously hoping we can go later. However if we can't I am just so pleased that my son would do this for me. I knit and watch you tube DIY videos. To pas the time Actually being almost 80 I don't do m uch else anyway. Life has been good to me.

A group of teachers made a parade and drove through the areas where their students live with signs saying they were missing the kids. Teachers and students are sad they did not get to say goodbye
Walgreens, my local pharmacy, let me pick up over the counter mess through the drive up so I did not have to go in the store!
I wish I knew this 11 hours ago when I had to go into Walgreens for an OTC med 😅
My Christmas tree has been up since 2010. I occasionally change out decorations for seasonal considerations. So, never tacky.

After trying to teach 93 students through Google Meet it was a pleasure to sit down with my "hot toddy" and knit with you ladies. I can't thank you enough for bringing some peace, calm, fun and enjoyment to my otherwise crazy day. Oh...did I mention we took in my mother (96) and mother-in-law (91) in with us? They're doing great and loving it here (they still lived in their own homes). It's really wonderful in it's own strange way. Stay safe and sane...and thank you for providing me with relief.

The Dutch equivalent of Amazon is putting out 10 children’s ebooks or audiobooks a week for free. And a very popular host (and professor of biology) of a kids animal show is putting out classes with tasks for the kids. Even our tv provider is offering a few paid channels for free (kids shows and adult movies)
I think it’s really great that even those big companies are doing stuff for all the kids staying at home.
I can't stay home. I am a care assistant in a residential care home for the elderly, so I will keep going in and making the best choices to keep me and them virus free. Keep washing your hands and cleaning door knobs, hand rails, work tops, fridges, and all of those most touched surfaces. Try to not touch your face, wash your hands before and after toileting. If you take those precautions you should, luck willing, stay healthy. XX 💜💖💙 XX

I'm in Florida, and both my cellphone provider and my cable company lifted their data caps on internet usage for the next few months. This is a huge help because we normally have to pay overage fees. They're doing it so kids can do remote school and people can work remotely. I'm so grateful. Also, Traci, I downloaded your new free socks pattern on Ravelry, and I've never knit a pair of fingering weight socks before but my first socks will be your pattern!
I think it’s great that you are podcasting every week. It’s because of your podcast that’s pushed me over the edge in learning to knit 🧶 now I am knitting my first ever sweater 💕

Agree with you Jodi, boo hoo to Air Canada. Cancelled my ticket for Montreal and will get a $70.00 refund. No plans to travel before December 2020 so the credit was a non-issue.
How am I passing the time? Just polished a pattern that will be released FREE on Ravelry tomorrow. The one small thing I can do.
And then I am going to order new yarn and start on my sweater for Knit City Vancouver!

In the beginning we touched elbows instead of shaking hands (stopped that too now) but if you make a alien greeting noises (boobloo) it's so hilarious that the mood instantly changes. The shop I work at is closed now but we still work admin and send out orders in the background and embrace all the hilarity we can get in. Even the usually more stoic people can't resist joining in on silly things which makes everything more bearable :)
Also, I need that blue waxed canvas tote in my life, so gorgeous!

My 96 year old neighbour and friend can’t have any visitors ☹️ I called her and she said she was ok, she’s got plenty of food ❣️❣️❣️ but she misses her family and ME 😍 sweet woman. I call her every day... I told her to get her knitting out 😁 Please remember the elderly. I’ll NEVER get sick of you two. Thank goodness for all those people who are still exposing themselves to possible viruses for the sake of providing the necessities. There’s too many to mention. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 and Jodie I LOVE your sewing room. Looks a lot like mine. Tracie... that Lovenote is fabulous... you always pick the best colours for your skin tone. Oh my Jodie, those knit samples are so gorgeous. I’d be making a throw/blanket with them 😍 Jodie... I think you might be low in Vit D. Get yourself some D-drops girl 😂 I went for a routine physical... yup, my D was very low and yes, I was having a sleepy time every afternoon. My son is a pilot at WestJet... he’s not working for a while. But, it’s totally understandable and I told him he needs to learn to knit. 😀 he’d actually be a really good knitter 😍 I so enjoyed hanging out with you two tonight... my hubbie is sleeping but I just had this nervous energy and I told him I had to do some knitting. Tracie! If you’re still looking for a sweater suggestion, I love my Rockland Crewneck from Todd Gocken. It’s a sport weight pattern but I’m sure you could knit a size down. Faux set in sleeves and a basic look, it’s my go to sweater. :)

With university being online, my friends and I can't gather in person so we've started digital game nights using Jackbox TV and discord and it's super fun! You guys are amazing!

Me cleaning my hobby room and going to finely spin my Alpha fleece.
I have crocheted a lap blanket in a 4 days lol just double crochet (U.S.) bulky weight with a 6mm and it has flown. Super easy and mindless.

I'm on some of the face book pages, and on the ravelry free pattern page, for knitting patterns , so many designers have put their collocation up and are off ering a free pattern, with a code, which is so generous of them. Our schools close on Friday, and as an at risk family, I'm going to spend time crocheting, knitting and dyeing yarn

Traci, it sounds like a Guernsey or Gansey sweater is exactly what you’re looking for your husband. The body of the sweater is stockinette with texturing on the yoke. Traditional sweater for fishermen. As the body tended to wear out before the yoke, having a plain knit body made it easy to replace.
