The insufficient levels of K2 in a combined "pill" was a concern I had some time ago. I searched around and found a K2 with the right amount to bring the total into an effective range for the combined D3 + K2 combo. I'm glad to hear Dr. Brewer confirm this.
@@minemovies587 - The brand is less important (given the choice of a legit brand) than the level of K2 that complements the level of D3 - An additional mcg that take the K2 levels up to 400mcg as recommended by Dr. Brewer.
@@PrevMedHealth*Very nice information, this great meeting Medically Consult for we take the Hekcare in Brazil, Remenber U are Welcome to Brazil my dear doctor..!*
At 69 y.o. a year ago my cardiac calcium scrore was 155, today it's dropped to 3. K2 worked for me. My doctor never mentioned it as an option he just prescribed Statins.
Same here stating that I can’t take.. first few days my bones hurt so much.. dr. Is mad I won’t take these meds but always tried to increase my vitD for 20 yrs the clinch was introducing k2 with vitD it helped increase my vitD first time in 15 yrs! 👍
well done you didnt listen to that nonsense doctor. They know nothing about neutricion. Go to your doctor when something is broken but stay away for health related issues.
I take both and have over a year. My CAC score was 32. I've eaten carnivore for 6 years. I have lower blood pressure. Take no meds. I work out 3-5 days a week for an hour or more. I'm 72 years old.
This is the absolute best video on K2 on the Internet (and I have watched all of them from reputable docs). Dr. Brewer sticks to the evidence and the studies but doesn't go into long spiels about things that don't matter.
I was taking 5000 IU of D3 with K2 and still had pain with my bone. Since I increased D3 to 15000 IU and increased K2 , I take magnesium glycinate , sometimes take zinc as well I have no pain on bones and I am noticing that with that dose I am seeing improvement on my glaucoma!
At 20,000 IU of D3 my glaucoma nasal steps disappeared! My ophthalmologist insisted the two visual field tests had to be faulty and would not even entertain the possibility that my retina condition had improved.
I’ve been eating a non-processed, whole foods diet for nearly a decade (9 years), I’m also skinny and exercise regularly trying to gain weight. Yet, last year I got diagnosed with prediabetes. I was stunned. Through more restrictive diet I was able to bring my A1 back to normal levels but this really demoralized me since I was already as healthy as I knew how to be.
Thank you for this report. I've been taking D3 (5000) IU and K2, either (90 or 125) micrograms, for about 8 or 9 years. I usually have 2 or 3 eggs and 4 or more ounces of kefir plus other foods every morning. I'll have to research further to see if I need to change anything. This is a good presentation. By the way, I just turned 69. About 6'-1" and 235 pounds.
I was waiting for this presentation...it is well explained about Vit K2 and vit D3 usage..Thank you Dr Ford Brewer .lots of regards and love from India ❤
Thank you. I have been taking 100 ug of K2 for around 15 years. That dose subjectively has helped with healthier teeth and lower blood pressure. I will give a larger dose a try.

I went to my chiropractor because rt arm went numb. X-rays show spinal stenosis.. started k2 and D3. Started taking peptide collagen bovine organic powder too. After three month the ganglion cyst on my right wrist disappeared. No longer want to walk bent over and a whole lot more energy. I’m 75 and feeling better after a year. I don’t eat meat but the bovine has helped with energy in the powder. Also magnesium is a must for heart palpitations and cramps in my legs.
I wish we had more doctors like him in the US. My alc is good range but my insulin is still in the double digits. Can't get it to budge. I'm so changing my supplementation up. I'm assuming if k2 is good for osteoporosis it's good osteopenia.
@@PrevMedHealth are you able to recommend a brand of K7? I know to look for something clean. There are just so many brands out there. I take a combo pill right now. Would really like to up my K to what you suggested. Thank you for all your information.
@gjahncke i have been carnivore for about 4 yrs. I was kicking butt, lost weight, brought my alc to normal range but my insulin is still in the double digits. So now I am stalled. But I keep trying.
Thanks for the info on K2 and D3. I asked my doctor multiple times to separate out D3 from the Vit D test--but so far he hasn't cooperated. Dr. Brewer, please discover fasting as the "King" of health. Body systems re-boot with a fast, starting in the gut. I follow Dr. Mindy Pelz.
I started taking K2 about a year ago, only 60mcg. I was doing it for potential cardiac benefits. Not much change in cholesterol other than HDL a little higher, but I was surprised to see my A1c went from 5.4 down to 5.0 and is still there a year later. I wasn't even thinking of any A1c benefits. I now am taking only 120mcg a day. Maybe I'll consider a higher dose. Am in the process of trying to stop statin I've been on and literally just learned about inhibition of vitamin D synthesis when on statins, so now I know why my vitamin D level is only 47 on 5000 IU a day. Not a single doctor has explained side effects of statins on vitamin D or risks of diabetes and dementia in all these years.
If you are testing only at 47 D3, even when dosing 5000 IU, you should supplement with 400mg of magnesium glycinate. Often low D3 blood levels are caused by low magnesium. You can take a magnesium supplement or simply improve your diet with magnesium rich foods like pumpkin seeds, cashews, soy milk, or spinach.
With 5000IU and 200mcg,I went to 60,from 30. Also,I take Magnesium threonate. Finally,I have not osteoporosis now,in a 4month period of supplemantation.
@NLR759 Yes, I just started a magnesium supplement as well. Thanks! Taking 5000 IU alone for over a year because no doctor tells you about K2 and magnesium & the dangers of D3 alone, nor do they tell you statins interfere with D3 usage in the body. Luckily I just ran across all of this.
Hi Dr. B. Excellent video. Thank you very much. I’m really liking the new format. The scripts are tight and your presentation is superb. Congrats to you and your team! Light years ahead of the shaky paper videos, although i was a huge fan of them too!
@@PrevMedHealth True, the long videos, often interviews with other doctors, were too long and not on the point. This video style is more effective. Well done!
I’ve taken for years separately. Had a blood clot on my lungs lower part dead now. But still take. Cayenne is way better , and garlic and ginger pills are more effective!! Though. My legs and feeling heavy are gone. Refuse blood thinners, haven’t told doctor. But feel great now. Will continue
Yes this was helpful. I've been taking a combined supplement with 125 ug (5000 IU) of D3 and 100 ug K2. Separately, I take 100 ug K2. Based on this recommendation I will increase my K2 by taking an extra pill or two of the K2-only pill. I need the D3 to maintain my levels, which run from 46 to 67 or thereabouts.
Regarding K2, by lowering carbs and eating other foods, K2 consumption increases. So, if you don't want to take another pill, this is another reason to cut carbs. My best sources include eggs (67-190 mcg depending on size and type), cheese and occasionally sauerkraut. Also, chicken: "If you’re not a fan of organ meats like liver... With 10 mcg per 100-gram serving, chicken has 5 to 10 times the vitamin K2 content of beef or pork."
@@mariabyrne1954 Free range is meaningless (they have found ways to get that label without much free range) you want pasture raised if you want the cleanest best chicken and eggs.
It gets even more complicated, as I understand that K2 MK-7 supplement, has two forms of isomers or a combination. There is trans menaquinone-7 and cis menaquinone-7. I understand the "trans" is the better of the two in a supplement of vitamin K2 MK-7.
Thanks doc. Just had a cac,My score is 800. I am 63, been diabetic since 43, gene pool got me. Weight lifter all my life though forced to slow down on that from several injuries in the last 3 years. Been taking d3/k2 for just over a year in a combo pill. I will re adjust and start taking them separately.
Genes did not got you, high carbs got you. Sure, genes play a role, but going keto or even better carnivore it will prevent that. It is all about epigenetics. For keto/carnivore I would always start with dr. Ken Berry, dr. Paul Mason, dr. Shawn Baker, dr. Antony Chaffee, ...
MY BRAIN IS FULL. Good information. Question: If you should not take K2 & D3 together in one pill does that mean you shouldn't take two separate pills, one of each, together?
Great video once again. Two useful fact my 5cents. 1 . K2-MK7 has half-life of 3days(how long stays in body) while K2-MK4 has only half life of 3-4 h. Thats makes difference when you take 300mcg per day for a month, you can calculate how much body will be loaded . 2 . K2 is very unstable when combined with other things especially D3. There was Norwegean study that over half of the K2 sold did not have specified qantity or non K2 at all. Something to take a look is the new k2 deltavital Norwegean how is produced to increase stability. Not sure if you have them in US as we have it here in Europe.
@@jeanv2929 I would not trade MK7 for MK4 . It is superior to MK4. With such a long half life it gives body chance to work more efficiently. I take it in beggining for a week in large doese 200-300mcg then after week or two going back to 100 or 75.
Just a comment on skin cancer. I did a dna test and it showed me as 98% Irish, Scot and Welsh. I tan really dark. At 70 I’m using efudex to get rid of the numerous solar keratosis that regularly pop up. Last November I began a carnivore diet and eat only animal products. While I’ve always had a high tolerance for sunshine, I find that it has increased dramatically. A little research has shown that this is being reported often by those on a carnivore diet. Since you appear susceptible to skin cancers, I just wonder if you would find it worthwhile to research this apparent benefit and how it comes about?
Thank you Doctor Brewer for putting this knowledge together. As you know knowledge is power. It helps so much to get our facts right. Please also know that the way you explain things is exceptional - slowly , the important, and without sidetracking. Thanks again.
Great video Doc 👌 and spot on about high D levels in the blood causing kidney injury. A good friend of mine has very high serum D levels has resulted in kidney stones and very high BP. He noticed that even going out in direct sunlight causes him noticeable distress. He is now being treated and has it mostly under control which is great but the high underlying BP (being medicated for) is a cause for slight concern as the underlying problem is still in the background (high serum D levels)
Great video. I always been taking all my supplements separate for years. I did not know until today about doses for K2. You just read the label and pop the one capsule it recommends. So now I will take 240 Mcg of K2-MK-7 and at least 2000 units of D3 per day. With my almost healthy lifestyle, 95% home cooked organic meals, I am getting higher total levels of K2 & D3. I'm 61, 6'3' 248, still have the covid belly, working on it, thin everywhere else, people guess me 15 years younger than my age. Keep the great videos coming Dr. Brewer as I have learned over the year's most doctors never mention supplements like my friend went on a statin and the Doc never told him to start taking Coq10.
QUESTION: If a person is in their 60s, female and had breast cancer, was recommended 2000 IU of D3 a day and 1200mg of Ca per day to avoid osteoporosis………… The question is….. since D3 is stored in fat, and being very thin now since anastrazole caused high pre-diabetes (because strips body of estrogen) regardless of a healthy diet and exercise, with a very low body fat level where does the body store the D3 if the person has lost most of their fat? Do we need to take extra D3 since we don’t have that much fat for storage? What about other fat soluble vitamins……. Less fat would be less fat soluble vitamins stored? How does this affect use of these vitamins if someone is very thin?❤

Thank you Dr. Brewer. It would be nice to have chapter markers in your videos. It's hard to keep up with the experts, so if we can listen to one chapter now, skip one, and another later, then it's easier to fit 15 minutes videos into a busy schedule in a couple 5 minute chunks. Thanks.
Thank you so much! I have calcifications in my major arteries. I’m also prediabetic. I have a healthy diet and perfect weight. It’s frustrating, as I eat healthy, but don’t have good numbers. HgA1C is 6.4. Now started to see an endocrinologist. We’ll see what she can do for me.
If you have a HgA1C of 4.6 you are doing something right. 👍👍👍. A very small % of the population would have that number with the lifestyle of todays society. Good luck with the endocrinologist. 😍😍😍
Excellent video Doc! Also, anyone taking a Multi-Vitamin should check the levels of D3 & K2 and factor that in if they are also taking K2 & D3 as a separate supplement.
Great info Doc (I AM NOT Knocking any info you give in this video - you are so giving of you time for us which is greatly appreciated) - The i LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. The thing i will add coming from my G/P (doctor) One thing that is not mentioned is depletion of vitamin d3 + k2 via environmental stress the air we breathe (in door / outdoor) and chemicals we use everyday like deodorant and shampoos. Also work stress can deplete vitamin d3, k1 and other vitamins in the body especially magnesium. Another thing that is not mentioned is how to take Vitamin d3 and k2. Vitamin D3 is fat soluable and should be take with some sort of fat. I take my d3 with in a carrier oil solution either coconut or oilive oil. I also take it with omega 3. i take 8,000 - 12,000 iu daily. I do this because of all the stress in my life and i also get tested for b12 iron selenium, vitamin d3 from my family doctor (G/P). My numbers are spot on. I am inflammed (feet are swollen) water retention or insulin resistance. Although i have not been eating correctly. Just starting to get back on a healthy diet once again. i drink beet and eat spinach/ boiflavanoids to widen / strengthen arteries / (endothelial system). WE AS VIEWER NEED THIS INFO AND YOUR TIME. Not everyone has access to adequate health care or does not have a General Practitioner (GP) like me. So your info is vital. l learn something new everytime i watch you and i have a GP. They only have so much time. I learned a new form of testing for arteries (6:10) ( 12:59) (14:09) (15:00) - i take your advice (10:03). i also found out that i can get a CT scan of arteries to show where blockages are. It’s very interesting to know that during my work as an Emergency Physician, I had a patient who was diagnosed with M.S., And she reported that after she had tried the traditional medical treatment without any Remission, she was able to find a doctor who lives in the Amazon area and practice Telemedicine, He prescribed her extremely high doses of Vitamin D3w K2 and she was able to get a better And prolonged Remission!! I was Curious enough and Lab Measured her Serum Level of Vitamin D 3 : It was North of 575 and her Renal Function, LFTs All normal : this Case proves that she has No Toxicity nor any Side Effects from High Doses of vitamin D 3!!! Of course if many people can get their levels of D 3 Above 500 without any side effects then it will Confirm issues ??
Hi Dr Brewer, I would like to see a graph up on screen of the supplements and the amount beside them that we should be taking so we can snap a picture of it. Thank you Larry
I agree. His recommendations are wrapped in a lot of words. Took me a while to see that I am taking a combined pill with the D amount he recommends but four times as much K2. My doc chose this pill and it is expensive. More D not good, but how about 5 times as much K2? Nothing said about that. This is being prescribed because of dysbiosis and fat malabsorption, which will affect the fat soluble vitamins. Maybe that changes the rules? But this one says it is wrapped in fat, and I can see a real difference from the cheaper ones, not fat wrapped.
So timely- I was ready to order more of my D3/K2 combo supplement!! Thank you so very much, Dr Brewer!! Love the explanations and referrals for more in depth info, as I’m an amateur science/ medical geek🤓🤗
The correct dosage of D3 depends on whether you are Vitamin D resistant (VDR) or not. Although clinically there exists resistance to the absorption of Vitamin D at the cellular level in people that have VDR there is still no medically defined process that brings this about or is at present medically recognised as bringing this about. However it is readily accepted that, as Dr Brewer has pointed out, that being over weight and having a poor diet can initiate this VDR condition. Also as people age they become more susceptible to becoming VDR. The dosages that Dr Brewer refers to are quite adequate if you are "normal" and do not already suffer from VDR. Unfortunately a normal blood test where the Vitamin D levels in the blood are measured are simply misleading or only give a rough guide to whether you are VDR. This is because the Vit D level measured in the blood only measures the "inactive" form of Vitamin D. At the cellular level it is the active form of Vitamin D that is the most important. The only way to measure the correct dosage that a person's needs is to measure the dosage given by tablet form and then to measure by a blood test the level of Parathyroid Hormone (PTH) that is present in the blood stream. The PTH level is inversely proportional to the absorption of the active form of Vit D at the cellular level. This is the basis of the Dr Coimbra Protocol and practitioners of the Coimbra Protocol use this technique to treat and put into remission diseases such as MS, Auto Immune Hepatitis, Psoriasis and other auto immune diseases by using very high dosages of Vit D such as 16000, 20000 IU and higher daily which would be detrimental, as Dr Brewer points out, if you didn't suffer from these diseases. There are many papers on VDR but it is still not clinically recognised in the "West" as the treatment is effectively so cheap and there is no money in it for Pharma companies. Research has now shown that people with low Vit D levels or in the worse case VDR would have been protected effectively against Covid with Vit D supplementation and could have avoided bad vaccine side effects!!!
I take my d3 and k2 seperate. When my calcium gets low, i thirst for it. Ive always had a thing for calcium. It started in highschool in wrestling when we were starving to make a certain weight. Our coaches told us not to drink milk because it stays in our intestines too long and we wont make weight. I used to get a certain thirst, a calcium thirst. When wresting was over, i would chug milk, like a half gallon at a time. I hardly drink milk these days and if i dont take my calcium supplement, i get the same calcium thirst. Il end up drinking milk. I take vitamin k2, vitamin d3 and my calcium boron zinc pill. Sometimes its calcium boron magnesium pill. It makes me not have that calcium thirst. I feel like this doesnt happen as much to other people, the calcium thirst. Anyway, i hope my arteries are ok. Guess il find out in 40 more years lol. I dont really do blood work and doctors but if i dont take my supplements im thirsty for calcium. I workout a lot. I should make it a ways down the road Id assume.
Id like to share my case At first thanks Dr for this useful information. Im 64y before few years I suffered (thank to Allah) from heavy heart palpitations which increased with time checked D3 it was 27 after searching i started using D3 & K2 together completed 2 months corse thank to Allah became normal. But D3 remained low after searching both vitamins are fat soluble my body was absorbing K2 only. After this start taking them separately both in the morning. D3 came up to 90. Thanks .
Hope you good health brother. I am of your age, i do not go to doctors, never been, and i assume that i am pre-diabetic, with high blood pressure although i am very physical and slim, but a smoker. I know the world of supplements very well, but it makes me feel reliant on man made stuff visa vi being independent on diet that allah created. Your case allured me, but i am very stubborn and hesitant about it. Salam.
@السرطاوي-د9ب thank you About high blood pressure i hope like this recipe very simple Medium sized beet washed and peeled cut and put in blender. One lemon washed well cut with peel put in blender with one cup of water drink all for two weeks. But my brother if you take medicine you have to check your BP every day.
@@mohammadharoun3839 😁👍 Thak you akhi for the advice, i will do it inshallah. Alhmadullilah i don't take any medications all my life. I have always been my own doctor. I have always viewed doctors as crooks.
I have been having heart palpations too and I can't figure it out. I'm 38 and they have been bothering me for a couple years. I'm starting on k2 and d3 now. I hope they stop soon 😢
This is a great video and he’s convinced me that the standard dosage doesn’t have enough vitamin K2. Well, maybe instead of getting vitamin D3 and vitamin K two separately you could find a 5000 international unit D3 that had a lot of K2 in it. I found one that has 600 µg of K2 and MK four is 500 µg and MK seven is 100 µg so without going down the bunny hole as I like to hear him say this one has a diaper load of vitamin K2 . I also would like some clarification on why 10,000 a day it would be too much if a person is just under 50 in terms of nanograms / ml(?). Anyway I got it measured. It’s not 50. It’s just a little below. Now what happens if I also have a high coronary artery calcium score, Dr. Brewer you just touched on it as being potentially a problem That either the K2 or the D3 can make the coronary artery calcification worse and you didn’t explain it and I’m not sure where to where to get the answer. I’m not talking 100. I’m talking. I have a CAC score in the thousands. I’m not asking you to give me medical advice I’m asking you to help me understand what I have to be able to explain in terms of nuances if I can’t find a primary care doctor nearby so I can actually back up the claims. I’ll go to the studies if needed, but how do I ballot all that if my coronary artery calcium score already sucks and it has doubled over the last five years And I still can’t find the source of inflammation but that’s probably the bottom line. I did take a small dose statin that you recommended the 1 mg thing that you had in one of your earlier videos. My total lipids are only 180 so I wonder what the hell is going on! I had a cone BM x-ray from a few years ago and it does show a few pockets where trouble might exist yet my dentist said he doesn’t think there is the source of inflammation. It might be stress. I just had a slightly high CRP level in my last blood work and my doctor For didn’t ask for an A1c which I would’ve preferred. I also asked for a iron panel with ferret and screening and he said yeah here’s your iron level. It’s OK but they didn’t do the ferritin screening. I’m going then what the hell are we paying them for? I’m trying not to ramble, but I want you and other people to know as much as your advice is good sometimes the devils are in the details and the best way to thread. The needle isn’t very obvious to me at least. Maybe for other people it is Anyway anything you’d like to comment would be appreciated. Thanks, Richard
One of the papers you listed had a case study of a military patient with acute kidney disease, which the doctors blamed on too much Vitamin D. However, the man did not have problems until he had taken 648 mg's of aspirin and 400 mg's of ibuprofen daily for a week. How did they determine the AKD was caused by the Vitamin D instead of the aspirin/ibuprofen combo? We do know aspirin and ibuprofen can cause AKD, especially at known toxic levels. So why ignore those dangers and blame D? It's studies like these that obviously show bias in the research community, which we have learned over the past three years can be outright lies.
I am 70 yo and had a calcium score 12 months ago , my score was zero. I had never smoked and only rarely drank alcohol but i did eat a little of fast food-over my life time. Thank you so much DR. Ford B. Could you help me understand the term take separately? ... 1) Does it mean that it isn't taken at the same time, or... 2) That it isn't mixed or joined in the same paste, capsule... I take D3 in gel 1000 units and I take K2 in a 100 mg paste, but I take them at the same time (manufactured by different laboratories) in the last 3 years. I have had many operations for oxalate kidney stones for more than 25 years (I am 60 years old)
You can take them at the same time, what he is saying that the amount of D3 and K2 are not in correct proportions for maximum effectiveness, so he recommends 5000 D3 and 400 K2, which is not typically found in one formula of supplement, so that is why he recommends taking separate pills❤
Hi Dr. Brewer, Super informative video. Thank you 🙏💯 My question is, we are 65+ with my husband & all the most common things in our blood we have😊 So we take D3 MK7K2 4000 my 100 mg K2 I bought another plain K2 for 200 mg. Will it make bleeding with our other Blood thinning meds plus BP tablets etc. now scared? Hope someone reads & replies to me. Regards From London.
I’ve noticed some effects after supplementing with high doses of Vitamin K2. It appears that K2 may compete with magnesium absorption, potentially depleting magnesium reserves. This interaction seems to be part of how K2 operates in the body and may cause palpitations.
Before taking D and K2 Better check endocrine system - parathyroid gland , thyroid gland, adrenal glands. If calcium already high in the blood stream, taking none stop huge doses of vit D can get more calcification.
Thank you so much for all your videos. I wasn’t taking enough of either K2 or D3 for the conditions you discuss here. Many thanks, much appreciated.👍❤️
So the issue is not taking K2 and D3 together per se - it's taking together with that particular product because to get enough K2 you have to take 4 pills, which equates to 20,000 iu D3? What abut taking 5000 iu D3 together with 400mcg K2 in seperate pills?
I'm a 66 yo male that's 6'4" & 260 lbs. My glucose is 105. My A1c is 5.6. My calcium score is 624. My 25-OH Vitamin D is 40 ng/mL. I take 2000 IU D3 with breakfast. I take 300 mcg MK-7 (MenaQ7 all-trans) with dinner. I was told to take K2 & D3 at different times of day because they compete for the same blood absorption receptors. Do you agree with that? Do you think I'm taking the right doses to make a difference with my arterial calcification & pre-diabetes?

Very helpful. 4,000 IU of D3 brought me from deficient to at the lower end of normal. I may add 1,000. I take 200 of K2 (not the same pill but taken at te same time). I took 400 while also on an anti-coagulant and had a bout of intestinal bleeding. Maybe coincidental (I understand K1 vs. K2). I think I will try upping to 400. I'm no longer on the anti-coagulant.

Doctor's Best has a combined180 mcg K2 (MK-7) and 1000 D3 pill. I take 2 a day for a total of 360 mcg K2 and 2000 D3 and then get another 2000 IU D3 from a multi. That's only 4000 IU D3 a day but my level on blood test is 75 so it seems a good dose to me.
Greetings, As always another brilliant detailed video production 🇺🇲🍾🎉🇺🇲 Which brand of K2 supplement would you recommend to me. Thank you so much for assisting me.
Good video! I know you didn't want to get into mk4 and mk7, but we also need to look for a trans form of mk7 for the k2 supplement. It's what is found in nature and is the most bioavailable to us.
Well mentioned. I buy the Solgar K2 MK-7 and it doesn't state in the ingredients which isomer of menaquinone-7 is in there. I wrote to the company and received a response stating that the MK-7 was of the "trans" form.
I'm awaiting a response from my supplement manufacturer too on this. (Metabolics) The label states "natural vitamin K2 menaquinone 7" so I'm guessing it's pure trans mk7 but want it confirmed.
I suggest to mantain a good diet and avoid the molecular convergence. Do not repeat the same nutrients group in the meals. For example: A plate with cow meat and potatoes do not make molecular convergence, because the meat belongs to Proteins group and potatoes belong to the carbohidrates group. If you repeat groups, several shots of insuline are produced followed by infammation. With that recommendation, there will be not either inflammation nor chronic disease too.
I took a low dose of k2 and had occasional palpitations but i didn’t know it was the k2 and then i upped my dose to high dose k2 and got atrial fibrillation and had to have my heart stopped and started again. Didn’t know it was the k2 but i stopped taking all my supplements after, but as soon as I introduced back in i had another a fibb event. Got onto a forum and lots and people had had this happen to them. A friend of mine had a fibb all of a sudden come on and i asked him what supplements he was taking and hed just started high dose of k2. So it worth keeping an eye on yourself. Wish I had known this all those years my husband kept having afib and getting various procedures to fix it. We had asked his heart doc if K2 was ok to take before starting it. Now, numerous heart shocks and ablations later, it leaves you wondering if we could have avoided any of this.
To address calcified arteries, I incorporate a daily regimen of vitamin K2 and D3 supplements. I take 100-200 mcg of vitamin K2 (MK-7 form) along with 2000-4000 IU of vitamin D3. This combination helps direct calcium to bones and teeth while potentially reducing arterial calcification. I also focus on a diet rich in K2 sources like natto, grass-fed dairy, and fermented foods. Regular exercise, particularly weight-bearing activities, complements this approach. I monitor my vitamin D levels through blood tests and consult with my healthcare provider to ensure proper dosage and to avoid potential interactions with medications. This strategy is part of a broader heart-healthy lifestyle that includes a balanced diet and stress management.

Interesting, doctors don't do nutrition.

Do we need to take extra D3 since we don’t have that much fat for storage? What about other fat soluble vitamins……. Less fat would be less fat soluble vitamins stored? How does this affect use of these vitamins if someone is very thin?❤

Thank you for sharing that.

Maybe for other people it is
Anyway anything you’d like to comment would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Richard
Thank you so much for helping us all out here!
My d3 levels always. Hovers around 70-80 ng with dosing 7000-8000 iu d3 an 150-200 mcg k2
Great video!! Gracias from Uruguay !!
Yes you are right 😅
I am 70 yo and had a calcium score 12 months ago , my score was zero. I had never smoked and only rarely drank alcohol but i did eat a little of fast food-over my life time. I had been supplementing with d3k2 for about 2 years . The dosage was 1000 d3 and 49 k2 and it was a spray. I hope my score stays the same in coming years👍
Fool it's not gold standard
@@GDe-gi1kzdang! ripping people on a topic like this is the real fool. No need to have a good technique that is readily accessible be dismissed in that it too provides a good data point. The low level of supplementation likely has absolutely nothing to do with your scores. You’re just genetically lucky.

Dr, can you tell us the actual reasons why 20000IU of Vitamin D everyday is bad? Or should we just take your word for it?
Get yet Liver Scores, limit of D3 was 30,000 - a spurt up higher might not hurt.
Take D3 with EVOO ? TAKE 2 D3 (5000iu ) at start of day, take 2 with EVOO at mid-Day, 2 D3 before exercise 4 hours before Sleep time - that's 30,000 for energy - should notice EFFECTS A.S.A.P
TAKE ZINC at start of day for sinuses, more with drainage / lung issues, 4 HOURS separated from Magnesium Glycinate, which is 2 hours before sleep times
Good video! I am mostly focused on growing my way into health in an attempt to scale back my supplement usage.

Hi Dr. Brewer,
Super informative video.
Thank you 🙏💯
My question is, we are 65+ with my husband & all the most common things in our blood we have😊
So we take D3 MK7K2 4000 my 100 mg K2
I bought another plain K2 for 200 mg.
Will it make bleeding with our other Blood thinning meds plus BP tablets etc. now scared?
Hope someone reads & replies to me.

I’ve noticed some effects after supplementing with high doses of Vitamin K2. It appears that K2 may compete with magnesium absorption, potentially depleting magnesium reserves. This interaction seems to be part of how K2 operates in the body and may cause palpitations.
Thanks for the info. That must be why they advise taking magnesium alongside K2 and D3.
Before taking D and K2
Better check endocrine system - parathyroid gland , thyroid gland, adrenal glands. If calcium already high in the blood stream, taking none stop huge doses of vit D can get more calcification.
Thank you so much for all your videos. I wasn’t taking enough of either K2 or D3 for the conditions you discuss here. Many thanks, much appreciated.👍❤️
Entonces a qué hora se debe tomar K2 y D3 por separado y cuantas veces al día, muchas gracias por la explicación.
So the issue is not taking K2 and D3 together per se - it's taking together with that particular product because to get enough K2 you have to take 4 pills, which equates to 20,000 iu D3? What abut taking 5000 iu D3 together with 400mcg K2 in seperate pills?
Good video! Can you explain why 20,000 iu Vit D is too high? What happens?
I'm a 66 yo male that's 6'4" & 260 lbs. My glucose is 105. My A1c is 5.6. My calcium score is 624. My 25-OH Vitamin D is 40 ng/mL. I take 2000 IU D3 with breakfast. I take 300 mcg MK-7 (MenaQ7 all-trans) with dinner. I was told to take K2 & D3 at different times of day because they compete for the same blood absorption receptors. Do you agree with that? Do you think I'm taking the right doses to make a difference with my arterial calcification & pre-diabetes?
Hello Doc
I just took myvit D3, Vit C with some full fat greek yogurt. So happy to tune in and wondered if i should take K2 as well
Take it with extra virgin olive oil
@@hondacbx1975 really? I've never heard or thought of that? Will definitely look into it. I use extra virgin olive oil for cooking. Thanks for the information. I appreciate it.
You're right! I found this... In conclusion, taking vitamin D with oil is an important step in maintaining optimal health, especially for those living in areas with less sunshine.

Which brand of K2 supplement would you recommend to me.
Thank you for contacting Solgar UK.
Email response from Solgar:
"I can confirm that It is purely 'Trans' menaquinone - 7 in Solgar K" MK-7."
One of the guys on the forum said about 15 % of people will get a fibb from high dose k2
