Apologies for the skaky onboard footage. There's no roll cage in the Delta S4, so i was only able to mount the camera on the thin sheet of plexiglass separating the cockpit from the engine. And as you know there's a 600hp monster raging behind causing quite a lot of vibration. Hope the high quality audio makes up for it :)
+zeroundersteer no problem at all, that car weighs less than a ton, and it's just covered with just Kevlar and fiberglass, it's a go kart, the onboard is very impressive!

This Beast is so satisfying in every way, look, performance and the sound 😍 The whining compressor when it comes in your direction and when it passed you easily could think that there is only one huge Turbo with a little bit of Motor attached to it 😅

The blower/compressor/supercharger. This demon is twin-charged, turbo plus supercharger, from behind you hear mostly the turbo, while from the front you hear the whine of the supercharger.
C'mon man, the S1 E2 was also an absolute beast, and they DID compete and win. I do like the S4 more because of how fucking RAW it is, but the Audi is just as good as the Lancia, or even a little better, because it was easier to drive.

Why do you think they stopped competing in the middle of the '86 season? Check the facts & results. I have all the group b rallies of season 84-86 at home
ComandanteJ the later quattros were known to be the most difficult cars to drive on the limit, especially on tarmac, they had massive turbo lag. get on the throttle, before you need power so the boost arrived when you want the power, the t16 and delta s4 both were far superior, purpose built competition cars. they lancia didn't even suffer much from lag due to supercharging alongside the turbo. their problem was they had to much power for the conditions. as henri torvinen and segio cresto found out. ari vatanen was lucky too.
Legio XXI Rapax and that was with their lead driver/co-driver both being killed in corsica. torvinen said that the s4 was too fast. then two days later he was burnt to death in one.
