I always feel confident buying something after watching your videos Josh. The RSC3 is on the way but a bit out of my price range. Ordering my RSC2 tomorrow. Im paralyzed in a wheelchair and I don’t have the abilities I had before the accident with my photos and videography. This is going to be perfect. Think about it: I already have the camera dolly (in which I sit the whole day)😂, AND a RSC 2. 😂. Paramount here I come 😜. Thanks Josh
I do like your clear instructions on how to set my z6ii but I’m having issue with the control cable not working even following from yourself.. does the camera have a setting on it that needs changing for it to connect with the gimbal?
could you please share your camera settings for shooting this review, the video looks so crisp with beautiful lighting. did you use an Nd filter and so on?
Good job on the review. I have the Z6ii and am looking at this gimble. Which auto focus mode do you use or are you focusing manually? I assume you can trigger auto focus from handle of the RSC2. Can you see the monitor on the back of the camera well enough to frame and shoot while walking or do you need the Raven Eye?
Thank you WHS 03! To be honest I don’t always see the monitor of my Z6ii because the RSC2 is in the way. It really depends on how you hold the gimbal. Sometimes I use my phone with Snapbride to frame my shot. There is also a clamp for that (also in the pro bundle). With raveneye you can also use activetrack 3.0. Maybe the pro bundle is something for you? In this video I worked with auto focus but manual is also an option.
Thanks for the review, Josh. Can you tell me if you're able to pull the focus on the Z6ii by using the ring under the index finger on the gimbal? If so, is the focus pulling smoothly?
Hi Konstantin, I tried it right now and I can focus very smoothly. But you should know that I changed to the pro combo bundle with a focus motor. Then you can also focus with the DJI Robin app. That video is coming today or tomorrow!
@@Josh-White Thank you. So right now you were focusing via the motor? I was interested to know how it's focusing without the focus motor, just with usb cable.
Just have 1 question? Just what is the maximum weight that this gimbal can take? You're using a 35mm prime. What if you using a Z14-24mm? Obviously it's front heavy? Can it adjust to accomodate that?
Hi Hisham, in this video I am using a Z24-70mm. Prime lenses are easier because with zoom lenses you will need to calibrate again if you zoom like I show in the video. It’s easy to accommodate that and you will be able to do it faster every time. The max weight of this gimbal is 6,6 lbs or about 3 kg.
Bro what is the settings for walking using this gimbal, i used this gimbal and its very shaky when walking and turning around. May camera is lumix G85, my settings to this camera is dual stabilizer on while using this gimbal. We are using this settings during interviews on the streets. may camera is not connected to this gimbal because i dont have a type C to SSR wire.
Hi Bryan, I just check and I mostly use PF and PTF (pan follow or pand and tilt follow), at least on this video. I think my Nikon Z6ii also has some stabilization, but it doesn’t seem te interfere with the RSC2. It’s connected to the RSC2 though! Maybe that will help you or try calibration it again with the Ronin app and/or the gimbal itself. Hope this helps!
@@Josh-White Bro should I turn off the dual stabilizer of my G85 Camera when I use this Gimbal or is it ok to turn on the dual stabilizer of this G85 while also using the gimbal is it more stabilized?
I am not sure, because I don’t have that camera. My camera has vibration reduction turned on. Maybe you can find a way to connect your camera to the RSC2?

I love the way you film the product in your reviews, it feels like a fpv. other reviews don't show the product as close as you do
Very good and informative
Can you use the focus wheel if you don't have raven eye? Obviously there is no physical connection to the lens barrel so I would assumed not?

Thanks a lot 😃👍🏻
Hi! Is it possible to use the Rode Videomic NTG microphone on the shoe on this gimbal? Is there enough space there?

Yes, it also works without the focus motor. For shooting video you will need to change your AF settings to AF-S, not AF-F.

How long does it take to balance.
Hi Mark, it took me at least 30 minutes the first time 😅 But now I can do it in a minute or so. You will get the hang of it 😁

Thank you! 😄
