@@learningcameras hello, I just bought the ronin rsc 2 pro combo after watching your review and I have the canon 80 d. I have a issue that camera is not autofocusing while on RSC 2. I have to do it manually with the front dial of the RSC 2. camera and the lens is on AF. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP? Thank You!
@@samyakpatel7422 So I personally almost never actually connect my camera to the gimbal so AF wouldn't be an issue. Not sure with that particular setup what's going on but it seems like the gimbal thinks you are trying to manually focus

I bought the RSC 2 on a whim yesterday. Wasn't sure what I was getting into I just I knew I needed a gimbal. I'm happy I found your review and stoked to up my own. Thank you for making the video!!!
Very nice review, stunning visuals. Just what to give a small advice: slow mo footage makes the jitter less noticeable, you should use more regular speed footage to show the stability more objectively.
After using the ronin-s for years until a week ago, I finally got myself the RSC 2 and honestly love it !! It's so compact and lightweight and portrait mode and foldable shooting is a game changer. 👏
@@6mazing I got the RSC 2 because I got a great deal on it, it's definitely an upgrade from my Ronin-S so I'm happy with the functionality of of the RSC 2. But if you got the money for an RS3 I would definitely go for that one! Love the auto locking function on the RS3 but either way Wich one to choose is on you, they both are great gimbals. 😁
Your review helped me buy this rsc 2 today for my panasonic s1. I've been looking for a gimbal for two weeks and nothing available on the market. It seems they vanished. Today i found one and bought it almost instantly. Thank you for your good work and nice review!
Dan I think you’ve just convinced me to get the RSC2 instead of the RS2. Raven Eye is something I definitely want but may have to purchase after due to budget - the RSC2 at least allows me to have that option whereas I can’t with the RS2. Plus being able to fold it so small and the long life battery AND being able to handle the weight of proper lenses. Yep, this is one for me. This video highlighted the pros for me nicely! 👍🏽
Hahaha, yeah...I also have the RS 2 but honestly use the RSC 2 more because I keep accidentally hitting the touch screen on the rs2. Plus I prefer how the rsc2 adjusts
Just be very sure about compatibility of your camera with the raven eye and the gimbal. I bought the RSC 2 and found that if I use raven Eye I have an image as usual but I do not have camera control on my smartphone (s.a.iso). I can only have this facility if I directly connect the camera to the gimbal. - then I do not have active tracking and the other facilities that Raveneye gives. Guess a new camera is called for?
Cool review and nic video! Always nice to get the confirmation of a good purchase. 😊 As soon as the RS2 and RSC2 came out, I was already impressed and just had to purchase it, without knowing if I really needed it. One year later, I love it even more and am still finding out new things. Honestly speaking, now that the 3rd Gen has been introduced, I was a bit concerned that it would degrade the RS(C)2, but after seeing several reviews it's clear to me that the RSC2 is still relevant and still has not been overtaken by the competition.
Ever since my ronin m started spinning uncontrollably I haven’t had a non dji gimbal that was ever close. Definitely need this now that the price is so affordable. Great content dude !
This gimbal is such a good piece of equipment, definitely want to upgrade my ronin s to this. The general locks on the arms seem to be way too useful! Love this video! 💯✔️🔥
I have used it for over half year. I do have some issue. Hope some are due to user error. 1. There is no dedicated lock mode. You have to press the button all the time if you want to be in lock mode. That is not convenient. If I am use dual handle or if I mound it on monopod. There is no way for me to active the lock mode. There should be a lock mode that programed in the menu. 2. After power on, the camera will start to drift left or right slowly, it won't stay still. I do not know what is the cause. 3. I find if I have IBIS on, the footage is really bad. So I have to turn off the IBIS then the result is good but not great since the IBIS should make it smoother. I never need to turn off IBIS from other gimbals I have used previously. and it helps reduce those micro jitter. But not the case with this gimbal. Drive me crazy to figure out.
Thank you very much for this great video! Do you think it could carry a light camera with the Sigma 24-105 (885g)? I'm not sure because it would be very front heavy...
Do you think it would support a Canon R6, and the RF 24-70 F/2.8 for a wedding video, or would I need to go up to the RS 2? Thanks and great video! Way better than the first looks that others have posted.
So it definitely will support it but I'd say if you are planning on mostly using heavier lenses, the RS2 might be a slightly better fit. As a bonus, the RS2 isn't really heavier because the frame is carbon fiber: amzn.to/3EIXsyP Thanks so much!!!
Hey! Thanks Enrico. So definitely this or the RS3 Pro. Technically the regular RS3 will hold the weight of a Z6II with large lenses but it has limited adjustment so if most of your lenses are going to be the big F2.8 zooms and F1.4 primes, you might consider the Pro
9:57 this is one thing I was worried about when the camera is too big (or the gimble is too small) and the viewfinder makes contact with the gimble arm.

@@learningcameras woah thanks for the fast reply! Is this important for Cinematography? I'm currently writing a scenario for a short film and want to start filming but I currently don't have a gimbal and never used one.. Also very good video just subbed!
@@SianCKB So a gimbal isn't needed unless you want some moving shots that involve the camera moving in the frame. For under slung mode, why not just turn the gimbal upside down? Just let it hang what’s the difference? Lastly does it integrate with the A7s3 better now? I tried it out a few months back and it wouldn’t communicate with the camera properly, causing camera to sometimes shut down, also record button wouldn’t work depending how you wanted to use the gimbal, for example if you wanted to use raven eye plus record buttons or change iso/shutter using gimbal you would have to configure the connection to the raven eye with different cables.
So, for just a single shot...not much of a difference with just turning the gimbal upside down but depending on how you rig the camera with external monitors, it can make a difference. To be honest I usually don't connect the gimbal to the camera. I accidentally cancel recording all the time lol but I have used it with the Raneveye and it does work but I have not tried changing camera settings via the gimbal as I just personally prefer to be cable free whenever possible and too often accidentally change them
Awesome review, thanks! Do you use auto focus with your Panasonic on the RSC2? I'm curious how that will work since their auto focus system isn't the best (I use the S5 and besides the auto focus it's perfect for me). Thanks!
Panasonic is one of the only cameras I currently don't rely on the autofocus for. Usually I'll use autofocus to prefocus, lock focus, and then follow my subject at the same distance. With a smaller sensor, you have a bit more room with depth of field so I stop down a bit and just try and maintain the same distance to subject. With my other cameras I typically use autofocus

Thank you Dan. I own the first Gen RC and my biggest problem is that when I use heavy lenses, I just cant get the camera back far enough to balance it. Do you know if this one has a bigger range of movement for getting your camera back further?

Hey! So payload shouldn't be an issue for the RSC2 but yeah, off center loads can come close to hitting that back of the gimbal if your lens is super heavy or if you are using the 24-105 on the telephoto side. I'm sure it will work, but if you start adding ND filters you will definitely be close to the balancing limits on the RSC2.
