Fancy some guesses on size / price / # of prison-grade beds?
I bet the Fatterpillar will be similar to the Liberator in size and cost about $550. And probably have like 6 prison-grade beds in the main ship, alongside 2 inside the command module. And I think it'll hold like 1500 SCU of cargo.
The thiccapiller be rolling with those high quality steel beds
500 normal 600 assault
@@thygeek pretty much nailed it on the cargo
@DigThat32 lucky guess, I suppose. I was a little off on the price, though.
Ironclad is probably the best all-rounder ship, Cargo, pocket carrier, Salvage/Mining mothership, search rescue repair and so much more. The secure cargo room looks like an armory/brig to me . This is one of the most flexible ships, as far as gameplay loops. It's a Liberator on steroids. I really like this one, just have to figure how to get it. It will cost more than the Liberator IMO.
You need the extra T to make sure people say it right. “FATTERPILLAR” 🤷🏽♂️ 🤣
Exactly my dude!
Phaterpillar
It kind of reminds me of a pirate brigantine. Small crew, big cargo. The Fatterpillar is going to be doing a LOT of cargo liberation, I think...
I've been waiting for my Crucible for almost 8 years. But there isn't any gameplay for it yet, so I get it.
Bevic is -- The Bevic Convention Center-- building where Invictus is held
Ahhhh 🫡
Holy crow! How do I get to be as cool as you, Dig? Your voice, your hair, your attitude? Damn... I never thought I was a simp before, but I think I am now, honestly.
You gotta eat all your vegetables, hang out w/ the hood, the burbs, the nerds & everybody else you can think of.
Ship looks dope! My wallet is shivering
Great Q&A , I learned a few things. You need to do more of these.
Thanks for the mention, I appreciate you appreciating me hosting events for you.
Yaaaarrr !!!
Oh fa sho, Pie Filling!
@@DigThat32
Lol 😆
This ship makes me think they might do something cool with cargo, like a cranes and chunk unloading in space.
Definitely gets the creative juices flowin'
Foxhole...in spppaaaaccceeee.
They gave some specs, unintentionally. We saw 4-6 tonks in it
I genuinely enjoyed this video and the production quality was top notch. Thanks for the hard work! Long live the Fatterpiller!
Much appreciated!
The Kraken gameplay just got a whole lot more interresting We need bigger landingpads 🤣
The Fatterpillar is my new favorite space convertible!
Can it be filled with water for the ultimate red-neck hot tub tho? These are the questions that need answers
@theMedicatedCitizen you hold true to your username and it's amazing. And good question, we better be able too!
INV box work around here, Leave box in your Local, click the lil icon to open said box. Then drag items into the box from there. Hope that helps yall out
Need a workaround to be able to use em in bunkers.
One of my favorite creators. Glad to see you brotha
Appreciated mayne
Best sc vids man, got all the good shit. I recently got from invictus cause I always wanted a huge ship and I love it, I feel like the fatterpillar gonna be similar to it, where you can solo and have heaps of fun or you can crew and have heaps of fun. Im gonna get back in to starfield once expansion drops, just felt a little lackluster when I played don inital release. Nice vid brosky. (P.S, you still got the homeworld key on hand 🤣)
Thiccapillar, i will die on that hill because that ship has the curves.
Crew is a big issue in Star Citizen. The best option would be for CIG to allow free to play accounts, where the account can't pilot or drive anything, not own ships or vehicles, and have other potential restrictions. Then sell fps gear and skins to them. With the option later of paying to make it a fully functional account.
That or cheap fps accounts with the no pilot rule, that can't own ships.
Either way, we need a way to subsidize crew. Because not everyone needs to be a captain.
I have at least a dozen friends that want purely ground based vehicle accounts. No interest in flying. Mules, ROC's, Nursa's etc. need to be available as game packages for like 20-30$$$
@@theMedicatedCitizen That's something we need. Sell packages with various levels of vehicle's, basic armour kits / outfits, and guns.
Where's my police Ursa, uniform, and tools? That would be a sweet package.
Or a police dragonfly, flashing lights. Police paint, with a size 0 emp.
But yes, we need land vehicle only accounts.
Invent a crew person account for say $25 (upgradeable at any time ofc) and like said above no pilot seat and can't own ships.
That backlog . . get 'er built!
Don't worry. On the day the Star Citizen PU goes live new players will be beating at the door to join a org.
If you dig good story and narrative i recommend midnight burger podcast. Great writing and production and a really good narrative. 🤙✌️
Thanks for responding to my Comment! I will say I think as they add more features like engineering and Cargo elevators and stuff large cargo ships will be increasing difficult to crew. Love your content though!
🫡
Love this community. I got a Faterpiller full of Nursas. Lol
They CAN make Hull-B, and Tali Base. Also G-12, not sure why wasn't made. Railen will be hard, but is feasible; blame CR for expensive cool factor with Railen.
I forget about the Zeuses and if they had anything special going on with them.
I imagine Hull B is low priority, Tali Base is in game, G12 is waiting on roads, Railen w/ its similar cargo to Hull B prolly low priority & it's relatively new. Zeus ES & CL are in active development.
They cannot open the casino because you can buy credits with IRL money. Because that exists it runs into IRL legal problems.
GtaV has a casino...
@@karmabad6287 So does Red Dead Online, but Rockstar is willing to drive away kids from their game. The legal issues have to do with children and gambling
countries and their laws too
They really should get rid of selling AUEC! I'm sure many don't even buy it anyway.
It's gotta be the BMM. That's the oldest one I can think of that isn't out yet. It's ancient. However, the Idris is up there too.
Good stuff as always.
Appreciate that
I love ur content Digg, so funny and cool. If everyone on SC was as cool as u
🫡
Yeah, I gave up on Rothfuss years ago. I really enjoyed those. Total bummer.
Pretty disappointing cause they were great books
You can put items in a cargo container if you loot it instead of open it. When it starts dumping out items it is full. Unloading them is a pain though, you have to use the loot method again to do so.
Thanks for the content!
You got it! 🫡
I was so surprised when you read my comment I almost crashed into Seraphim, lol
Haa! 🚀💥
Because of my American-centric education, when I hear "ironclad" I immediately think of the USS Monitor - a ship that defined the ironclad industry (short-lived). Thick iron-armor around a ship that was mostly underwater, used during the Ununited States Civil War. So, calling it the Ironclad doesn't inspire confidence for me. But as a Drake fanboy first and foremost, it fits with the design language of the manufacturer very well. I appreciate the Caterpillar detachable command module and suspect it will be very useful when Pyro launches.
Awesome content! keep it up!
If Faterpillar sounds wrong, caterpillar must, too. :D
2014 Crucible should be made before the Ironsides. It would work as a cargo ship today, even if the repair gameplay may be later. Objectively, CIG needs to get repair gameplay in-game ASAP, because places like Pyro are going to be a problem without refuelling, rearming and repairing, as there will be vastly fewer space stations to do that at.
So we got the caterpillar, the fatterpillar, and the fattestpillar (kraken.
Man I downloaded a ship in Empyrion and ran with it for awhile. Then bought a Constellation on SC and was thinking, "this looks familiar." People do wild remakes in other games.
Ahh. Took a look... they did a great job
Here’s one for the backlog. Gold standard the Connie or re-concept them.
I think the command module is for emergencies only because they don't have docking ready 🤔
Its the 'Iron Chad'
I believe the oldest ship sold but not delivered is the bmm.
The BMM is a custom ships with parts that not shared with many other ships so this one will take awhile. They’d do ships like RSI, Drake or Crusader first that shares designs elements that if made in one ship can just cut and paste across the other ships that needs it.
Just a little prospective, I purchased the concept Merchant man a month before I purchased a 4 bedroom penthouse apartment off the plan.
Guess which one of those two concept. Jpgs I took delivery of first?
The reason why they make this new big ships is because its easier to make a new in accordance to the current tech they have instead of trying to figure out what to do with the old ships. They solved the modules issues on the Hull C, a new ship and now they can applied it to the Tali and all the other legacy ships that has modules. With the new ships they will increase the design libraries of things like corridors, consoles, furnitures, turrets etc that can be used to refurbished the older ships. This is what happening with the RSI. Seems Drake is next.
Phatterpillar!!!
I'm curious with the price of the Ironclad if they're going to retire the Caterpillar at this point because it's a headache ship.
Capital ships still walid for solo, when you have lot of stuff and want to haul it to diferent space so you dont need to do that many trips , or park it next to a cave or diferent harwestable in safe space for a week and you have all the amenities and hospital at reach🙂
Nah, the Kraken is fairly recent, isn't it? The MISC Endeavor is a 9-10 year old concept that most would argue will be the last ship ever made and released into the verse due to it's complicated gameplay that is still bouncing around in the heads of the devs.
Im gonna be an engineer i feel like after awhile people are gonna clamoring for good engineers
We're gonna need your services Mr. Brown
Is it just me or does the fatterpiller look like the crucible with a top like a crucible with a caterpillar make over
You're not alone..heard that a few times today
The crew problem is something that is going to bite CIG in the arse.. the pocket with the wallet specifically as 4.0 rolls in and engineering make most people suddenly unable to fly the ships they have spent their dollars on, no word on npc crew other than "Its something we would like to do at some point in the future" and not enough people in their crews that want to give up their own time in the ships they payed for themselves... Those big sales will naturally slump. Why upgrade to a ship that I cant fly?.. no way I am spending cash on a four person ship when I run with three people most of the time. I would advise CIG, for what that's worth (read: zip) to make those npc crewmembers a higher priority.
Drake Herald, MSR designed and released as data runners…no data running
Crusader Starfarer designed and released as refueler… no refueling gameplay
I think it was around 3.16 or .17 when CIG decided against releasing ships w/ out the relevant gameplay
Hi Boss,
Take two Caterpillar and a lot of duck tape. Congratulations, you have a FATerpillar
You and me both waiting for the last book of the King Killer Chronicles (sigh).
Been so long I'd need a refresher on the first 2
the connie and merlin situation has been a problem for a very long time lol
It's been on & off (mostly off) through the years
I just went to check out your ORG page, it could do with a bit of love, lots of "Page Under Construction. Please check back soon!" and no details about what kind of ORG it is.
If you didn't see my logo, that wasn't my org
@@DigThat32 I went to the link in the description of this video. It has your logo on there, but no other information at all.
Phattapillar. 2,000scu commercial, 1,500scu military / $550, $650 / 2 Cats and a C2 loaner. As far as crew goes, it's fine. You want find too many 100% combat folks in the logistics space. Logistics players are good crewing this. Combat players might crawl up the walls with boredom. It's a different type of ship.
People say the Idris and the Jacelin are on the backlog, but they really are not. Those ships are pretty much build. Maybe not for multicrew and engineering gameplay entirely, but the majority of those ships are done. And they even said when they will be in player hands: at SQ42 release and shortly after.
So saying those ships are on the backlog of ships, is most likely wrong.
Yeah like where's my freaking bamu merchantman? But yeah hey let's just sell a bunch of more concept ships that'll never get done.
it's not the fatterpillar, it's the ironChad
I think the lack of gameplay loop and also not finding good work around doesn't really work anymore.
-We have a number of ships that don't have gameplay loops, yet are still in game.
-We have workarounds in play, supposedly the munching is a workaround for some ships. Something like the Vulcan, could easily use a tractor looking beams from a turret where the drones are suppose to be to rearm and resupply
I think peeps just want their ships and it continues to make it hard to make excuses for the devs
See this is why although the game IS pay to win it doesn't bother me as much as you'd think. You'll need a static group, or a huge org, to properly crew many of these ships. Let alone crewing them at the drop of a hat. A lot of people going to have expensive digital paper weights.
i got a polaris just so i can swag solo and get gapped lol, ill end up melting it and replace it with the ironbetty
I got the PHATTERPILLAR! They said that the Kraken will be easier to make after the Ironclad. To me this means that the Ironclad might be on some sort of fast track. I have the Liberator and so this just made that obsolete. The liberator holds a lot less, has fewer defenses and costs more. Why? The Ironclad will probably drop before the Liberator. Cheaper, bigger, stronger and more exciting than the Liberator. Bye bye Lib.
Starfield was fun, but I found it too easy to dominate any ships that came up against me after level 32. Star citizen I still struggle which I enjoy.
Tragedy that MS closed Arkane Austin. What a fantastic game Prey was
Lol im not mad or anything but wouldn't you also be "yaked" in the faterpiller since youll be a soft target with a tastey treat in its belly? A pilot and all turrets manned on a polaris would be hard to drop down. We do the same thing with a hammerhead and it works great.
Absolutely but traders have always been soft targets willing to risk gettin mollywhopped for a chance at profit. It's considered leakage.
@@DigThat32 fair point. I've solo traded in my cat enough back in the day to have felt the pucker at the sight of another player. I typically run cargo when we have 5-15 of us on a server so I have backup should I need it these days.
Lord GabeN please save us from MS!
Is that Homeworld VR key still up for grabs? I have a Quest 2 and I'd love to try it out
Yep, message me on Discord
Fatterpillar, bigger Hercules ?
Kills the Herc... it's the Merc-ules
Nice pirate ship.
Second, Section 7 of the Clayton Act restricts the mergers and acquisitions of organizations that may substantially lessen competition or tend to create a monopoly.
Yet, look at Disney and others. Im a fan of Microsoft, but they also dont need to be the only option. Sick of this happening.
The Ironclad will be pushed through sooner than later. Why? Because if what the devs have said. They are using this Ironclad to streamline the building process for the Kraken.
Everyone talkin FATerpillar & Fatterpillar... first name that came to mind for me was Fat Cat! I'm stickin to my guns on Fat Cat! hahaha
Not bad
ships gonna need they own server kekw
11:22 Exactly why I hate this whole engineering Bullsh#@+ who wants to replace fuses while the captain flys us all into an asteroid anyways
Phatterpillar
still waiting for the 600i rework
the day the game locks respawn points to stations and large ships is that day multi crew is going to take off.
as for new ships, they blew all their millions on hiring movie stars for a game mode a small handful of people will play, the ship sales are what keeps them going or those dumb enough to subscribe to their terrible subscription.
Megapillar? $600.
6109 hours space trucking in elite dangerous and listening to this video , and refusing to play star citizen until it is a finished product.
Idk that it'll ever be "finished"- finished. 1.0 will release in 2-3 years, then ongoing development like Elite, except a lot of substantial content delivered regularly. Hopefully Elite can get a second wind in the meantime.
One day they'll quit rolling out new concepts. That will be sadder than waiting on any ship. I celebrate the Alpha as it is the phase for adding content. Alpha, Beta -- I call a Balpha.
Come on now, I know the US public education system is terrible, but "fater" is not a word. "Fatter". Two t's. That ship deserves the proper spelling, lol.
I call bullsh!t on the backlog as there are many ships that need to be made that have gameplay ready as mining, cargo and medical are in that covers all but the passenger ships, mines where completed like 2 years ago, the drone flight model was completed over a year ago, it really gets old hearing people make excuse for CIG.
If it takes a year and a half for these large ships they can start building them as they work on implementing the tech this is nothing new in game development it doesn't take 10 years to implement a design document.
these guys must be new about the creating newer concept ships lol. its been like that
Its the ironchad
Yeah, I know ZuluFoxtrot, he's trolling you. Not only does he have many ships, but his computer area is littered with 3d printed SC ships.
And he's calling it a scam from our time on the leaks server. Another joke/troll.
Well that's....strange? Lol thanks for the info
Ugh. It’s like you punched me in the face bringing up the King Killer Chronicles. I loved the first two books……….then nothing. Folks who read GRRM and Patrick Rothfuss are ideal for SC patiently waiting for their books or concept ships.
Those are facts

Y'all need to stop fat shaming the beautiful Ironclad Butterfly.
at 3:46 you claim there "isn't a real backlog" how?? there is 10 years of ships that have yet to be even taken to greybox phase. That is a backlog... And the whole "the gameplay loop isn't in so we don't need it" ok then why the heck do we have the herald. it literally can't do the only thing it's meant to do. The carrack is also supposed to be exploration and drones, we have neither and yet we have the carrack in game... they could totally spit these ships out before the gameplay is fully there.
Idris is done. Its not going to be released until the Squadron 42 is released.
If in december this game is still a shit show i will sell all my ships with 30% discount and uninstall!
