April 1994 is when I bought this single on import... I listened to the CD on loop consistently: Album version, radio edit and instrumental. I must have played this 1000 times. This track cemented Preemo as THE best for me, and it hasn't changed. The beat still bangs! That floppy disk is priceless!!

Oh man, this record right here! I was working for a regional distributor that serviced Payday Records, so I got this early to get into the DJs hands. This record dropped like a BOMB! So funky and hard! Dap and Malachi were great together, the rhymes may have been simplistic, but their deliveries were on POINT and the chemistry was undeniable! Premier laced these two like no one else could! An instant classic!!!
I'm surprised he didn't speak on "Supa Dupa Star" (the '94 Demo of Supa Star) that's on the b-side of "Livin' Proof" single. That version is dope as well.
I've said it over and over again. By far Premiers best work. This album has stayed with me for almost 30 years and although I walk away from it for periods of time, I always go back. My senior year of high school, saw these guys live on thier promo tour in Detroit. I didn't know how lucky I was when i was in that crowd since it was my first exposure to them, but man do I feel lucky looking back. The hardest Premo produced album in my opinion.
