I was thinking the same thing. A lot of these tiny desk concerts the artist are timid and don’t know how to act in front such a small crowd and Preemo just goes all in. He’s very professional.

When i was a teen Premier rocked my nights. Today i am 46 years old and i feel like a 70 year old. And Preemo is still rocking and with the same amounts of energy. Just look at this man enjoying doing his thing..Love you Preemo.
I have seen a many many Tiny Desk concerts and performances. This has to qualify as a Tiny Desk musical experience. For the younger generations, this is the literal definition of a DJ being on the ones and twos.
I'm old. I bought, Step into the Arena, Daily Operation and Hard to Earn the day they were released - on cassette! And i still have them. Oh well, best days for hip hop was back then.
DJ Premier is hip hop in it's purest form. He acknowledges that hip hop borrows a lot from jazz and funk and blends it all together. Great job by the rest of the band as well.
all the early djs knew about jazz and used multiple jazz, funk, r&b, even rock samples in their tracks. good djs nowadays have a lot of musical knowledge as well. diggin in the crates is basically what every good dj does, now some only do it virtually but a true music fan, will listen to all kinds of genres.
The Badder Band lads just had one of the best day of their life right there. Exceptional moment. Primo showing them what is all about and sampling them live 🥳

Man, we were copying your tracks literally tape to tape, being fascinating about anything happened "out there". Seeing this in 35 years makes me feel happy that good old school is still among us!
DJ premier is my all time favorite producer/DJ! His style is like a Picasso of music melodies. How he can interject multiple samples with his intros as well as hooks. Makes me want to break out my pen and pad and write the best rhymes I can come up with.
Somebody just go ahead and make a bronze statue of Premo. For anyone who understands anything about Hip Hop history, we place DJ Premier amongst the legends who created a sound that defined the Golden Era. Dopest DJ/Producer of all time in my humble opinion. Salute! The band was nice!
