Then Came Bronson was one of my favorite shows as a kid. I had several Michael Parks LPs (still have them as a matter of fact). He was very in back in the day. Those who are tempted to comment about how old he is now, etc ... don't look now but it happens to all of us. Michael Parks, his music and the show Then Came Bronson bring back so many fond childhood memories for me.
The man is an icon! Very humble, & nice. I always get super excited & stocked when he comes in to my place of employment asking for a pack of A-Spirits. Only the finest, for a fine man..
Oh Micheal always watched for you ....Your were my Then came Bronson ,, Singer , Actor (the finest ) and I wish I had a little Motorcycle ride with you... See ya on the other side some day ...
Gene, he put out a Record Album or maybe more than the one that l have. Believe it’s called Big T. Water. At any rate thats the title of one of the songs on it. Had this Album for probably 30 years. About a dozen songs on it. Look it up on vintage record albums if you care to. Best Regards!! J. M.
Michael had the ability to interpret any words put on paper and make them real. His show Then Came Bronson was canceled because the producer did not want reality and or to hear Michael's back talk about selling out.
Walt Morgan, also those in charge wanted to make Then Came Bronson more violent. Michael was against that, which also led to the end of the show sadly.
Ok...here's the SECRET. To be "popular" in the entertainment business...you MUST have a "cool" name. MARILYN MONROE is a "cool" name. CONWAY TWITTY is a "cool" name. JAMES DEAN is a "cool" name. Do you "really" think that ELVIS PRESLEY would have had "success" with a name like Joe Smith? MICHAEL PARKS is not a "bad" name...it's just a little too "common" (for STARDOM).
+Kodi James WHAT'S IN A NAME ANYWAY ? IT'S "TALENT THAT REALLY MATTERS , IF IT'S THERE , THEY WILL AUTOMATICALLY REMEMBER THE NAME , ANYWAY . "MORE 'PARKS' SAUSAGES……PLEASE !" *PS. I'M TOLD THERE WAS A , NEW YORK CITY D.J. (DAN INGRAM) , WHO CONSTANTLY MISPRONOUNCED "ELVIS PRESLEY'" CALLING HIM "ELBO PARSLEY" ! &
Laura Marzz Not TRUE...Not TRUE...Not TRUE. I think Elbo Parsley is a 'cool' name. I 'like' it! You picked 'Laura Marzz'....for a reason. Why? Because it's a 'cool' name...and you 'KNOW IT'! 'THAT'S'...why you 'picked it'. Do you 'really' think that Marilyn Monroe would have achieved 'stardom' with a name like "Gertrude Leibowitz"...for example? I happen to be a 'BIG FAN' of Michael Parks. I (especially) 'liked him' in the movie "BUS RILEY'S BACK IN TOWN". I love the INTENSITY of his 'acting style'. You know...'good and well'...that Elvis would have remained 'unknown' with a name like "Joe Smith".
+Kodi James FIRST OF ALL ; "LAURA MARZZ" IS MY REAL BIRTH AND "GOD GIVEN" NAME ! EVEN THOUGH I HAD TAKEN SOME RIBBING IN SCHOOL ABOUT IT , I STILL LOVE AND AM EXTREMELY PROUD OF IT ; AND AS YOU SO BRILLIANTLY STATED ; "…..IT'S A , 'C O O L' NAME…." ! PERSONALLY , I THINK THAT D.J. DID "ELVIS" A TERRIBLE INJUSTICE BY MISPRONOUNCING HIS NAME (HE'S JEALOUS OR JUST A "WISE ASS") ; JUST TO GET A CHEAP LAUGH . NOW , IN MICHAEL PARKS CASE ; I REALLY DON'T BELIEVE IT'S HIS NAME ; BUT HOLLYWOOD "POLITICS" THAT MAY BE INVOLVED , HERE . HIS SINGING ANG ACTING TALENTS CERTAINLY ARE ;"PAR-EXCELLENCE" ! I'LL CLOSE BY STATING , WHAT I TOLD THOSE KIDS WHO "RIBBED" MY NAME "….JUST REMEMBER THE BEST CANDY ON EARTH COMES FROM 'M A R Z Z' !…" . *
Cash = Legend. Love Mister Parks in the movies Death wish 5, and a film with Chuck Norris...hmm I forgot the title.. And I love Charles Bronson....what an actor...
Parks also sang in the movie "The Bible," in which he played Adam. In the scene after he is created and stands up, he turns around and walks away bare-assed. If you listen carefully he is singing "I'm clean . . . My hiney's clean. . ." Charmin should be paying his heirs royalties.
before they made them take it down one of my karaoke sites had the song of his Long Lonesome Highway and I sand it and put it on youtube would ya know it he heard it lol said girl you did my song justice fabulous singing on my song little girl , the 2 days after that singsnap admins came and made youtube admins take it down and delete my channel that I had the video on I was so mad I was never listen to singsnap ever again and probably that's the reason why I got suspended don't know why they never did say
It was all about that dream of freedom we had in the sixty's. Unfortunately genes hold culture on a leash and freedom is a bit more complicated with kids and a mortgage. People like Bronson inspired me to hold out until I was almost thirty. It made the inevitable a lot easier. No regrets.
I also have his albums... especially the first one...Long Lonesome Highway....Hang In there...😢...I miss so much!!!

This music.......
Sweet, MP
Out of all the actors Quentin Tarantino introduced me to, this guy's still my favorite. Zoe Bell being a close second.
RIP Michael and Johnny.....
One cool dude. Found out about him in death wish 5. He held his own against CB.
i wanta ride one more time with you...my heart so sad ! GOD watch over ya !
Good memories.
One of the first songs I learned because of Michael Parks Bronson
Just saw him on the Hitchcock Hour! What a looker too!!!!
He did two episodes for HItchcock, one where he is a doctor and another where he is a college student, very talented man.
So sad to hear of Michael's death.!
Michael Parks Can Sing Oklahoma Hills.
Man, were they having fun on that bike !
He can sing too, great!
R.I.P
low key guy ... lot of folks talk bad bout him on other videos .... he's gone now I choose to think well of him ....
gary schultz I have always loved Michael’s acting, also had his albums. Had a huge crush on him during Then Came Bronson.
Such great talent and we don't have anything like this today ,you would think he would have been a bigger star back then
there was always something quietly edgy and provocative about M P demeanor.
Thank you so much Earl McGraw. You've been important in Tarantino's film
I saw him in the Greatest story ever told at 21yrs old....nice ass 😂
Y'all don't know what that's like when you're 16 in 1969. Bonnie Bedelia makes me cry to this day. Joey? Have you ever seen a grown man cry? 😎
RIP MICHAEL
❤
Nice harmony Michael
RIP

Long time getting the word out
My heart hurts, just found out he died in 2017. He was my heartthrob.
Somehow I think that year of 2970 might be a little off...
I did not know he sang...
It was all about that dream of freedom we had in the sixty's. Unfortunately genes hold culture on a leash and freedom is a bit more complicated with kids and a mortgage. People like Bronson inspired me to hold out until I was almost thirty. It made the inevitable a lot easier. No regrets.
What is the name of the song Michael does solo before, "Oklahoma Hills"???
Midnight Wind
What is the name of the songs Michael Parks sings by himself?
Midnight Wind
"Where's Bill?"
michael parks has died ,rip mr bronson
he looked like robert redford
Could sing too.
Was way better looking than Redford, way, way, better looking.
Heaven Scent reminds me a bit of Jon Bon Jovi, ha!!
Naw he's better looking
@@joannoriol6444 no Redford looked way better
Michael Parks was considered quite hot in the '60s....another James Dean...He was just too rebellious for Hollywood's cookie cutter system..
James Dean was gay and also very conflicted, very emotionally messed up, Parks was straight and not messed up. Girls were over the moon about Parks.
RIP Michael
