I could never understand how Jerry Seinfeld was called "America's funniest man". I cannot think of one single person of his generation who could hold a candle to Robin Williams.

    • @alcondragon

Jerry Seinfeld was NEVER funny. He was more the straight guy as in Abbot and Costello. Being a 58 year old half jew I can tell you he was pushed up the ladder, and if not for being on Johnny Carson, you would never had heard of Jerry. The gift of the Seinfeld Television show was the ENTIRE CAST that was surrounding Jerry. Seinfeld did what he always did best, he was the straight guy surrounded by the loony cast. Remember this, Seinfeld ALMOST never made it, they were about to cancel it after 2 years... Here is the proof, when anyone ever talks about the Seinfeld show, what do they say? OMG Kramer was so funny. Elaine was so cute and funny, oh that dancin of hers. OMG Georges mom and dad were hysterical.... WOW !!! George Castanza, he is hysterical and such a loser..... Or any of the regulars or guests... No one ever talks about how funny Jerry was on that show because he wasn't funny.

Jerry Seinfeld works clean all the time. I find him boring most of the time. Robin Williams all around number 1, as you said. My next choice after Robin for best comedian would certainly be Bill Hicks.

Such selflessnes and it's often never rewarded. If you know someone that's always wearing a smile and trying to make others feel better, pull them aside and just check on them and I mean really check see what they're struggling with. Simply put? The Talk Show hosts became a part of his audience, we would see their reactions & laugh even harder. The only one I felt bad for was Martha Stewart. She was trying so hard to not appear frustrated & angry, but then? She got an off guard moment & just lost it, laughing out loud!! R.I.P. Robin when you left us the world got a bit darker. 😢

There's no one that can ever do and be as quick witted as Robin Williams, take over a show, one of a kind entertainers in the world in the last 200 years!
He should have had his own talk show! Hosts could never handle him never knew which way he was going to go because he was so much mentally quicker than the host.
...he's an incredibly well trained actor, I think he would have made a great host if he could tame it down and bring it back a little, I wonder what he would been like having his own nightly show and if he could have tamed it down for interviews with guests, think would have been hilarious!
So sad he's gone, RIP my friend 🙏

I tell you that he IS HERE. His body may be gone but he has left his spirit and he has shared it with all of us so that we might have a peace of his light to take with us to the end of our days.
He left us his legacy that we could always look back upon it and be filled with warmth and happiness even in our darkest of moments.
Times are hard but Robin gave us what we need to get through.
    Thank you, teacher.❤️
