HIT THE BELL & TELL A FRIEND ABOUT ME
#Queen #YoureMyBestFriend #LFRFAMILY
Another great song by the bass player, the underrated John Deacon.
Did I see John playing piano/keyboard and singing in this video?
@@janettesinclair6279 yes John did play the keyboard on this one x Freddie didn’t like it I can’t remember if Roger or Brian said he thought it was an inferior instrument he liked to play the grand piano x
True
This is one of those songs you realize you've heard a million times in movies, commercials, etc.
Oh gosh... just love this song, might be my favorite Queen song. Written by John Deacon for his wife Veronica they're still married some 46 years and 6 kids later. Thank you so much for including this beauty full song in ur QUEEN reaction catalogue... not everyone does. It was a big hit here in the US. AND once again I love ur comments and willingness to open ur heart to new music.
FAT BOTTOMED GIRLS (official or live '82 Milton Keynes)
DRAGON ATTACK (live Montreal)
KILLER QUEEN/ I'M IN LOVE WITH MY CAR (live Montreal)
PLAY THE GAME (live Montreal)
CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE
Despite all the heavy touring and studio recording, Deaky was a busy boy. They had 3 of those children by the time he was only 27. 😊
@@3ScotsInk I didn't know that. In that case probably plenty of grandkids by now?? At this moment listening to some Bowie u suggested. Also typed in official OR Bowl '82 for Fat Bottomed Girls above. Hope you're feeling better💉🤕
@@missd9785 Oh yeah, plenty of grandkids, maybe even a great-grand or two by now, considering how young they were when they married (21, I think) and having their kids so young. I hope you enjoy some of the Bowie stuff but his was and is such a different vibe from Freddie & Queen. I did and still do listen to Bowie when I'm in a more melancholy mood and/or want to dive deeper into, like, an abyss. He was a very different type of artist than Freddie/Queen. With just a few obvious exceptions like 'Mother Love' and 'These Are the Days of Our Lives' and such, Queen w/ Freddie and Freddie solo always, always brightens my mood, no matter how bad the day has been or whatever. Has never failed me, since 1973 and, at this point, I don't think they ever will. I'm doing great, thank you! Both shots, relatively minor symptoms-- actually ended up a little harder with the first shot than the second. Just a lot of sleeping with both, mostly, which is one of my favorite past times.😂 Yeah, that's where I disagree with Freddie, that sleeping is a waste of time. Not for me! Sorry, Fred.😉 Have a great weekend Miss D, and let me know if any of the Bowie does anything for you.
John Deacon (the quiet one, who doesn't like the celebrity, like the limelight), wrote this song to his wife. Everyone talks about brian/lead guitarist, Roger/drummer, and Freddie/lead singer, but John D. Is the is. John is the one who wrote the (infamous, intro), guitarist riff to the song "Under pressure" aka "Ice Ice baby". John is the only band member who doesn't perform with the band since Freddie died. RIP Freddie. "We love you John. #africanamericanqueenfan 👑
I love the hashtag because that's me also!!!👑♥️👑❤️👑❤️👑
He also wrote "Another One Bites the Dust", which was their best-selling single. I had the 45. 🙂
You have to react to "Killer Queen - I'm in love with my car" live in Montreal by Queen. The drummer of the band Roger Taylor sings the second song while drumming.
Just added ur request to my list of Queen songs too... the more the merrier?
Absolutely!!!
Roger, the drummer is everyone’s best friend. 😍😍 i’d recommend “I Want It All.” it’s a video but feels like you’re at a concert. Freddie kills it!
i bought that LP-single :) .... Shit i`m old......
@@masmasure7234 I saw them in concert in 1978. I feel ancient, but we had the best music!
Good suggestion ♥️
My favorite Queen song is which ever one I am listening to at the time.
Exactly
YESSSS
QUEEN the miracle reaction
This song has "fun" video though. Good song
Bassist John Deacon wrote this about his wife
There wasn't a British band in the 70's that didn't have a Beatles influence in their music... Queen was no exception. Their harmonies were inspired by the Lennon/McCartney vocal harmonies for sure. Of course, the press was very leery of bands that came out and gained popularity after the Beatles... Led Zeppelin were grilled in their early days by press about how they compared w/ the Beatles - after a while, they got sick of the same questions and stopped giving interviews.
Queen's harmonies were not inspired by The Beatles or The Beach Boys, Queen used different harmonies. They were inspired by The Beatles and their studio production.
@@ZENOBlAmusic If u listen to Freddie Mercury's Little Richard influence, it's obvious in "Don't stop me now"...BUT Freddie didn't sound like or emulate Little Richard (That would be copying or duplicating) Instead, he channeled himself the way Little Richard did, and it came out sounding like Freddie - that's how inspiration works...
Queen didn't harmonize like Lennon/McCartney... but that Beatles influence is obviously there... but they made it sound like Queen. It was the same way Buddy Holly & the Crickets inspired the Beatles... the Beatles didn't sound like Buddy Holly. It had to BE different...
Even Led Zeppelin, that was vastly different from the Beatles... their psychedelic sound did obviously inspire Zeppelin's more trippy songs like 'The rain song' ... 'No Quarter'... but they didn't sound like the Beatles. Zeppelin were huge fans of Willie Dixon, but their covers were different.
If u listen to 'White riot' by The Clash, it was total knock-off of the Ramones... but when they recorded "Should I stay or should I go" - that sounded more like them, but still w/ the Ramones influence.
@@ZENOBlAmusic I don't rule out some indirect Beach Boys influence, but I think Queen's harmonies are inspired mainly by Gospel (e.g Somebody To Love) and classical English Choir (e.g Bohemian Rhapsody).
So stoked about the Queen kick you've been on, Mon Ami. There's not really a bad Queen song, except for maybe possibly Delilah, but it's so hilarious, it doesn't even matter.
One of my all time favorite Queen songs (among MANY) is a deep cut from the A Day At The Races album called Teo Torriate (Let Us Cling Together). It’s a gorgeous song, so beautifully sung.
Try "The Prophets Song" by them. It showcases their harmonic voices
I've always loved that one
Very timely with the state of the world.
White Queen is great. The bassist John wrote it this song for his wife. Great reaction.
THE Beatles wish thé sound like this :)
Your right because the beatles always sound better then queen
As good as Queen is, they are not The Beatles! Its The Beatles, then everybody else.
@@ShadowBanned904 That is exactly what Brian may said!!
@@snevilmansloth2945 😂
This is a really pretty song, John wrote a few hits for the band. I think everyone at that time was influenced by the Beatles, and Queen sort of considered the Beatles as the band that set the bar so you are probably right. This was a big hit in the USA for Queen. Thank you for reacting to this song.
My Melancholy Blues by Queen , so underrated song .....
Thanks Victor...I request it often..
John learned to play the piano when he wrote this song 🎶
One always writes a hit song whilst learning to play piano. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Queen were a band of overachievers
Seven seas Of Rhye is rhe one that got me hooked. It was and will always be my favorite. The official version.
New sub tagging along for the queen journey
We played this song after we said our vows and walked up the aisle when we got married. My daughter requested that one.
This was my dedication to my first lesbian girlfriend in the 7th grade. When her mother caught us kissing in their backyard she sent me home, and asked me not to mention it to anyone, especially my parents. The next week, I found out they moved all of a sudden over the weekend.
You should try to look her up. See how life became for her as well as letting her see how your life has turned out.
@@ShadowBanned904 I have. She seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. I would love to see her, but even our childhood friends know nothing about whereabouts.
@@carlapark5295 she's out there somewhere. Maybe she changed her name? Don't give up hope. You'll find her.
Singing drummers also included Phil Collins (Genesis), Peter Criss (Kiss), Don Henley (The Eagles), Ringo Starr (The Beatles)
If it hasn't been recommended yet, "Love of My Life" is AMAZING! Definitely recommend a live version.....Rio, Wembley or Montreal are the tops IMO
Amazing that all 4 members wrote a hit record
Love your Analogies😊 I'd forgotten this song..took me back , Again thanks 🙏❤
You take my breath away by Queen. Album version. It is ethereal
Queen's songs that really "feel" me ? I got couples :
Too much love will kill you
Is this the world we created ?
I was born to love you
My life has been saved
Next One "March of The Black Queen" studio version please! Your Radio Gaga Reaction is Great! Thaaaaang! But in live it's more Lit! I'm not giving up Requesting the Queen @"Live Aid '85!" As well😅🙏🙏🙏
Please In the Lap of the Gods is one of my favs - can't pick just one. Live at Hammersmith 1975. Thanks for your great reactions!
"Live Aid '85 is a must
Roger is an amazing singer. I love his solo albums. Especially his first 2, Fun In Space and Strange Frontier.
Check out “Dragon Attack” the studio version. Each member gets a solo! You will like it
Killer track!
Love love this Queen song!!
I love your reactions. You are witty, entertaining & I enjoy your keen & in-depth interpretations. Thank you.
One of my favorite songs. Love your reaction to this‼🙂
Married 36 years. This is our song! John Deacon wrote this to his wife.
Another great John Deacon song. The bass player wrote it. Check out his songs they are great. Try Spread your wings, I wanna break free, another one bites the dust, under pressure, You and I, Friends will be Friends, Back Chat. Also check out his collaborative song with Freddie Mercury called Cool Cat. He played all the instruments.
My kids grew up with me listening to Queen. My daughter and son-in-law chose this song as their first dance at their wedding.
Love of my life is one of my favs! I love Queen's original, but I am also a Marc Martel fan and went to a Marc Martel Queen Tribute concert. Marc singing it live made me fall in love with the song even more. FYI Marc did many recordings for the Queen movie and sings almost exactly like Freddie. Way beyond Adam Lambert. Maybe check out Marc Martel singing a Queen song.
Great reaction. They all had different tastes in music and therefore had many different genres React to: KILLER QUEEN, their first #1 hit in 1974..watch the video when they are singing it on the top of the Pops, a British music TV show
Cool reaction as allways!! Will you do us and yourself a favor and do „Sultans of Swing (Alchemy Live)“ by Dire Straits? It is the epitome of un-damn-believable and means so much to me. They single handedly saved the world from disco.
White Queen live at the Odeon!! Come on, do yourself the favor!!! You’ll be transfixed.
The drums, guitar, bass and harmonies are a total eargasm!!!❤️💥💥💥
Not their earliest stuff, but one of their early big hits. Takes me right back to high school.
Oh what a great song Love this reaction❤️
Wow Van, beautiful voice youngman. This song is so nice, 70's Queen. Bassist John Deacon wrote it. I love the Queen journey. Pleasssseeee some live stuff!! I suggest Who wants to live forever live at Budapest or Stone Cold Crazy live at the Rainbow. Much love and bless♥️
Longtime subscriber so happy you're going on the queen rabbit-hole thank you
This is one of my favorits. The best thing about Freddie is that he somehow get a new voice for every song
Love this song. The Miracle official video is one of my favorite. Great reaction.
YAY, more Queen!! Love this one. I always get it confused with the theme song for the old TV show "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father".... Anyone else have that same problem? Bahahaha!! Anyway, glad you're doing this one and continuing on the Queen Journey!! Gonna watch now.... ;)
Love you. Glad you did this one
Try "don't stop me now" by Queen
Love of my life, is a great one. A live performance at Rio, or Wembley.
Loved this reaction! I have two favorites to suggest: You Take My Breath Away - live in Hyde Park and White Queen - at the Hammersmith Odeon. Both early Queen and amazing!
So glad you did this, Van. I love this song. Don't see it reacted to very much. It just a sweet, feel good song. Thank you.
If you liked this old-school Queen song you'll probably like "Killer Queen" as well.
Queen - I love my car (live)! A must for all drummers!
If you haven't already, do "Killer Queen"! I've seen so many of your reactions, that I've forgotten if you've done that one?!?!
Great Reaction loved it. I’ve always loved this song. My favorite Queen song is killer queen I know you’ve already done that. I love Queen(The miracle)😀👍❤️✌️🌼
This song hits hard especially today, my father is in the hospital, we have removed all medications, except morphine, and his vitals are slowly dropping. My Mom is here and they have been together for 63 years. He has fought and fought and fought, just last week he said to her, Mama I am sorry, I don’t know how much longer I can do this and hang on. She said, Dad, don’t fight anymore, I will be okay, the kids will make sure of it. Still he fought. So you are correct, when you have that special someone in your life that can literally “make you live” hang on to that person. Because it becomes more important the older you get. ❤️
This song is used in the first of Simon Peggy's Cornetto trilogy of films Shan of the dead.the other 2 being hot Fuzz & world's end.there's also a scene in the pub were they've gone to escape the zombies were the jukebox plays don't stop me now.i love that song!you should check them out! Thanks for reacting to queen I miss Freddie alot!!
What troll would EVER give this man a thumbs down?!
This one of the sweetest love songs
Van, like folks said in the comments on "Radio Gaga", react to their Live Aid performance
It is amazingly breathtaking
Myself and MarjorieBloom were chatting on the Discord about harmonies the other day...I LOVE them in this track!
A great reaction to another great song written by the bassist John Deacon. He wrote it about his wife to whom he is still married.
Queen did a Christmas song...THANK GOD IT'S CHRISTMAS and the song A WINTER'S TALE...these songs hold meanings close to my heart
Death On Two Legs. Best unknown Diss track...🔥🔥🔥
#QUEEN
Did you notice Deacy playing the keys? He is so very underrated. Check out the variety of the songs he's written - You're My Best Friend, Another One Bites the Dust, I Want To Break Free to just name 3. Because he's so quiet & unassuming people overlook him. He absolutely has as much talent as the other 3, he's just not as showy.
Great song! My husband and I have been together 29 years and he's still my best friend.
Bicycle race is my favorite queen song.
Written by John Deacon for his wife then girlfriend Veronica! There was some hesitation by Roger Taylor (rock star) in singing “happy at home”.🤣 Freddie refused to play the electric keyboard (“why should I when I have this superb piano to play”). So John took the electric keyboard home & learned to play it for the song! John retired in 1997 after Freddie passed away in 1991. John has six children & still married to his “Best Friend”. 💖💖
Phil Collins and Karen Carpenter are two others that drum and sing at the same time
Probably the one Queen track that I identify with the most would possibly be Doin’ Alright off of their first album. That one I feel says, ME.
I think this is one of Queen's best songs but it's often overlooked because it's mellow and doesn't "rock out". Loving the range of your reactions and the fact that you appreciate different genres of music, even though your first love is hip hop. How about reacting to some old skool rap - "Talking all that jazz" by Stetsasonic" ?
Who wants to live forever! Next please
Queen/White Man from the album A Day At The Races 1976
The master doing the WA' WA' with the "thing"
The drummer wrote and sings in the song I"m In Love With My Car.
React to Queens "Killer Queen" song -
Keep it up Van.
One Vision - Queen is pretty powerful rock pop. Or Hammer To Fall if you like a really energetic track with clever lyrics. Another One Bites The Dust is another of their hits that people know but may not know they created it. Pick any song and you'll be glad though.
Thanks, LFR - a sweet, gentle song - written by the bass player John Deacon for his wife... oh, if only someone would write something like this for me - lol
I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together-Lennon/McCartney
Queen are masters of upbeat feel good favorites! Just to provide a little bit of contrast, I'm going to recommend one of my favorites of theirs that is a vicious scathing rebuke of one of their earlier managers who took advantage of them and really, REALLY pissed them off! Please react to Queen's "Death On Two Legs".
❤❤❤
One vision
i mean the first thing I would mention is the amazing harmonies. I mean....
Please sit back and enjoy Barcelona live you won't be disappointed you will be amazed
John Deacon wrote this one for his wife...very sweet.
I would love you to react to Save Me by Queen. One of my favorites.
Written by bassist, John Deacon which you’ll notice in this video is playing some keyboard! 🎶😃🙌🏻
I'm late, but yes! ❤😍
Please do I Want it All, Don’t Stop me Now and Princes of the Universe. Hello from Saskatchewan 🖖🏻🇨🇦💥
You really need to watch the movie Bohemian Rhapsody, tells their story and its a damn good movie
Yo dude, we gotta talk about people joining your discord and me having to check mine to see if anyone came into my room. HAHAHAHAHA Every time. lmfao.
Please check out Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy!!
Who wasn't influenced by the Beatles ???
Dragon attack is a queen song that means something to me x3
Seven seas of rhye is a must
Somebody to love, my favorite Queen song, but there isn't one I dont like either. 💕
Love of My Life, Wembley 1986
