Superb !! such an interesting thing with the riders and indeed all top sports men / women self belief and yet you would think that the fact that these guys have got into the top class in this country and like Kyle had podiums/wins and is in a top team yet still their can be doubt , even in MotoGP I would bet it is the same for those guy's with maybe an odd exception. So much is achieved in the mind before getting on the bike and even the best can never seem to completely control it I wonder why that is ?. Is this where a sports phycologist comes in and does Kyle or Ryan or any of these guys go down that road ? another awesome interview showing the human side of the riders and the fact these guys are not robots .👌👍
Thanks so much, CrumblyMal 🙏🏼 This is exactly when a sports psychologist can help but the rider has to be receptive to it first or it won't work. Lack of self-belief and lack of confidence almost go hand in hand - confidence can be replenished fairly quickly but the self-belief can linger on. Because it's such an individual sport, a strong mind is vital to succeed.

Thanks, Andrew! Yeah agreed, a different time and different opportunities would have seen him a strong contender in Moto2.
What really pisses me off is when I rider (or any professional athlete) is interviewed on race days ‘we made a few changes and looking forward to the race’ PR nonsense. I get it, but it’s a waste of air time. How refreshing when Kyle goes into detail about using the sc2 tyre. This is what the podcast is about, no nonsense, honest chat.

I do like Kyle but I feel he's talked himself out of the win in his head before he even gets to the track. Needs help with his head and he will be champion
It's something he's worked hard on over the off season and throughout the year. Third in the championship and six wins, he believes now 😊
He looks and rides very similarly to david jeffries.
