      Because it would actually be illegal. To become an interior designer you must pass a bar exam just like lawyers and have experience like a doctor or nurse....I think everyone thinks it can be a hobby but it's not. Interior designers go to school to learn building codes as well, decorators don't have to go to school or follow codes....unless you knock down a wall or something.

    • @nyxiedoll
      @nyxiedoll 5 років тому +221

      @@RealJudyi That's not true universally. California law states that "nothing in this chapter shall prohibit interior design or interior decorator services by any person or retail activity", which means that the term interior designer is not exclusive to certified individuals, as confirmed by the California Legislative Coalition for Interior Designers. In California, certification as an interior designer is voluntary unless you want to be a commercial, industrial or hospitality designer. If you only work on residential properties, there is no certification or registration needed. Additionally, the American Society of Interior Designers allows associate members who do not hold interior design qualifications if they have at least an associate's degree (in anything!) and 6 years of experience.

    this house isn’t big but its enough for me to feel all the loooove Ned and Ariel has for their family and each other. AD is about different home architectures and the diverse interior design and lifestyles people live, some have a family of their own some don’t. A house doesn’t HAVE to be big and luxurious and hella expensive to be on AD, what’s the point of showing it off on AD if it doesn’t feel like a home? This is by far, hands down, my favourite AD video, because it shows off how much love they have in their family, and it’s all about how much thought they put into building and having this dream home of theirs, and they’ve achieved it, and they are proud of it, and they love it with all their hearts. So please exert your unnecessary negativity elsewhere if you don’t like the video. AD, I’m ready for more HOMES like this.

My dad equally weighedd in alongside my mom when we wre doing our house. It's just the media portrays men as these boring, uninterested slobs and the overexaggeration of these stereotypes/memes on social media, society is used to that idea when the reality is the opposite.

    Hi, nice home! The brown patches might be related to the time you’re watering the grass. If you irrigate it during the day, combining water with sun light, can increase the likelihood that the grass gets “burned”. I suggest trying to water the lawn during the dark/night.

    I remember having a sinking feeling about their relationship during this video, when Ned kept opening drawers and Ariel was clearly upset about it, but put on a smile to gently make him aware of it.
    It's one of these things that I hate about the idea of "men just being silly and not understanding things women care about"
    I had a feeling that Ariel and Ned probably talked about this house tour and inviting a camera crew over to their private space and which things were okay to show and which things should be off limit. I could swear that she probably told him clearly which things not to open and that he didn't listen or didn't care. To me it felt like a lack of respect and care.

      The term for 'men just being silly and not understanding' or not trying to understand is called 'weaponised incompetence'. You know, when the man needs a list to go to the grocery store, they complain about having to go shopping, they pretend they don't know how to clean properly, you get the picture. So their partner just does everything for them and they go on being a stupid man baby.
