Dang, not gonna lie, this is actually impressive. When I saw that you guys first bought this house pre-reno, I could not see the potential whatsoever. This renovation is amazing and will add a ton of value to this house
Alejandro Pardo yes, but I meant that their vision of design added to it. Sometimes you see renos with so much money going into it you would think it’d turn out amazing, but they have no solid vision and it turns to crap!
PLEASE KEEP SOME EXTRA TILE FROM YOUR ROOMS!! I used to work at Home Depot and there’s always that one person who would do their own install and would accidentally break or chip their tile and can’t find it anywhere. and it’s super hard to match your tile!! (In case they don’t make it anymore!) same goes with any other flooring
That is an EXCELLENT idea! Having say, a dozen or two extra tiles is a fabulous idea! Over time accidents happen. Heavy things get dropped, especially with toddlers, or really kids of any age. I can't tell you how many kitchen counters I've seen with broken tiles. Entry ways, too! When people come into the house completely loaded down to try and save trips back and forth, they always drop the packages just inside the door. All it takes is a heavy item like a bowling ball and poof! Two or three tiles turned to dust and shards. I've even seen things that aren't that heavy, like a pair of pliers, break tiles. Of course, I grew up in a construction zone. My parents were CONSTANTLY remodeling the house. They started because they wanted to get rid of the harvest gold, avocado green and burnt orange color scheme. About five years later (after I'd moved out) they called me over to see the finished house. I walked through, having all the details pointed out to me, and hearing the stories that went with all their choices. When we got back to the beginning I said, "It's beautiful and the workmanship is spectacular, but the whole house is _still_ harvest gold and avocado green." My Dad looked around and yelled, "CRAP!!!" and started looking through the paint catalog again. It was in the early 80s and the pastel color scheme of the 80s hadn't come into fashion yet. They thought they were choosing neutral colors, but, they missed.
calichef1962 i bet my parents wish they had done this because I tipped over our wooden barstools when I was 3 or 4 and we still have a crack/chip in the tile
I cried a little bit when Ned looked at Ariel and said "We're gonna raise our family here". That is love right there. Beautiful. Edit: Of course I know what happened with them now. And it's heartbreaking. None of us knew he would cheat. My comment was from a year ago. Back when we thought everything was perfect.
Sadly only seemed perfect a year ago but there is evidence it had been going on for possibly more than a year:( It hurts to see how in love someone can seem in their real life and yet still have a full affair.
@@zainabtariq04 right even the counter tops are usually made of concrete and stones in asia. Most Asian countries use concrete and stay away from wood :)

The house looks amazing!! It’s so beautiful - that master bedroom is amazing!! And the deck is awesome. Also props to Ned & Ariel for renovating a house, having a newborn, moving into said house and Ned launching the company all around the same time. I have no idea how you handled the stress load but it all paid off. Congrats!!!
My favorite parts are the beautiful bookshelf with all the decor items, the master suite (that vanity is stunning), and the deck with that giant door!! I think the deck is probably my all time favorite because it seems so wonderful for entertaining and enjoying the LA weather. Definitely jealous of people who live in warm climates where indoor/outdoor living is possible. Anyway, congratulations on all your hard work and success!
I doubt it, they probably went over. My mom is an interior designer and people almost always go over budget their first remodel, there’s just nooo way to predict how expensive a remodel truly is.
Typically, I am extremely pessimistic about marriage and love, but if their marriage survived rebuilding a home during a pregnancy/with a newborn, they'll be together forever.
He was a chemist in Chicago, i think it was Chicago. He went to Yale and after was like a chemical engineer at this big company before his knee got really messed up. He had to have a bunch of surgeries and became depressed so they moved to California for a life change. Ariel started a design company, I think, and Ned started working at Buzzfeed.
Can we get another video where Ariel explains IN DEPTH about her design thoughts around this house, and like, how the hell she managed to put this all together? And like, go round the house and point out specific features or moments of artistic flair which she put in and why it works and what it's inspired by?
Wow, absolutely stunning. Great job you two. The built-in bookshelf is a thing of beauty. ❤❤❤ From the perspective a real estate professional and stager/designer, I love how you incorporated the Spanish tile throughout to maintain the feel of the home's history. I can see that you decided to forgo the living room area in lieu of a larger deck/outdoor space and master suite, and I think that's going to pay off. You kitchen area is open & spacious, with plenty of room for entertaining, so the fact that there isn't much of a living room/dining room won't matter as much. Everyone converges around the kitchen counters, and yours just invites people in. Kitchens and master bedrooms are what sell homes, and you've hit the ball out of the park with both of them. I think you will not only enjoy living in it, but you'll also enjoy the returns on your investment when it comes time to sell.
@meh Wow, ok. I'm not a fan of cement tile either, but if it makes them happy, then I'm all about it. I was trying to be positive. They clearly put a lot of work into this renovation. I'm sure that if they do sell, the buyer will likely rip out the Ikea cabinets and install actual kitchen cabinetry that isn't particle board. Also, if they want to pull up the cement tiles and place it with plank floor or ceramic tiles, they will do so. I have a friend who just purchased a large century old home. It had perfectly lovely and upgraded plank style flooring throughout. However, he pulled it all up and put down very expensive grey colored plank flooring and £300 per square meter tile flooring in their main floor half bath. For no other reason because they wanted to, and they could afford to. My point is, no matter how much you spend in your upgrades, someone is going to want to rip it out and do their own thing.

I've always wanted to know what the house of an interior designer looks like. Awesome!!!
Another UA-cam account you can look at for that info is Mr. Kate. She and her husband Joey redesigned their entire house and filmed it all
You should watch Mr. Kate! The end results are always so satisfying!
@@margaretvelto8791 I love Mr. Kate, I didn't know they did that. Will check it out, thanks!!
@@usagi9303 Agreed!!
who's the designer? i thought ariel was a doctor.
You can see how much life and youth Ned has in his face here, and then in their recent videos, how much being a dad has affected him physically lmao
Or its the beard...
Ned and Ariel are really living the American white picket-fence dream everyone wants 💜
Only my Sims have an equally luxurious bathroom. Damn Ariel, that transformation of the guest bathroom is amazing.
Oh Gosh that is so true. Only my sims have deck doors like that.
Trust.... 😂😂

Exactly I have like 4 extra boxes of tiles in my house
calichef1962 i bet my parents wish they had done this because I tipped over our wooden barstools when I was 3 or 4 and we still have a crack/chip in the tile
An absolutely GREAT idea. Ummm, I think, Mrs. Winchester did that with her mansion (in San Jose, CA); very wise. Y'all Be Safe!
I cried a little bit when Ned looked at Ariel and said "We're gonna raise our family here". That is love right there. Beautiful.
Edit: Of course I know what happened with them now. And it's heartbreaking. None of us knew he would cheat. My comment was from a year ago. Back when we thought everything was perfect.
welp, this didn't age well...
So uh….
Sadly only seemed perfect a year ago but there is evidence it had been going on for possibly more than a year:( It hurts to see how in love someone can seem in their real life and yet still have a full affair.
this video literally looks like it could be found on hgtv
I lovvve that painting over the mantle
Note to self: find Ariel when I buy a house
Sooo when is Ariel’s HGTV show premiering, because I would be watching every episode?
Same!
YES
Same! I saw a comment that said she needs her own UA-cam channel, but no. HGTV all the way.
Ariel: “the cozy couch”
Ned: “try guys game time”
Bean lying on the coach is a mood
Ariel and Ned are amazing parents, and a beautiful couple. This is what real love is.
Nimrit Randhawa Don’t forget about Austin and Catherine(the ace family)
Jhanella Q oh I haven’t, I’ve been watching them since the beginning
The white looks so modern and I love how many books you used to decorate! The house looks incredible!!
As an architecture student, this was super interesting to watch 😂 Also, the American balloon frame construction was perfectly showcased here ahahaha
Where do you go to school? I want to be an architect
i am so surprised by the way you guys build walls cuz we have brick walls in South Asia mostly like here in Pakistan
@@zainabtariq04 right even the counter tops are usually made of concrete and stones in asia. Most Asian countries use concrete and stay away from wood :)
Wood is great for earthquakes though. ;)
The huge back door that goes into the deck! Wow! Amazing!
Can we talk about how cute Bean is napping???!
I love the huge glass door that folds and opens up in the kitchen!
Me too!
That folding patio door...where did you get that?? I 😍 it!
He said it's a custom
I can't believe I watched a 21 minute video without checking how much time is left
You know after reading this I had to scroll up to check how many mins this video was. Shocking that this vid is 21 mins, didnt even notice tbh
@@gottalongcock473 i found out it was that long after I finished watching the video
Same... Oh my god I did not realize that...
The kitchen transformation was insane.
This is next level house tour
She deserves so much better
Ned getting spooked by fancy toilets is my favorite.
And Ariel handled all this with little Wes inside her. A REAL WONDER WOMAN!!!
Erza Scarlet Renovations are so stressful even when you have free time and nothing holding you back. For her to do such a large project while pregnant and having other things on her plate...super impressive!
Pregnant women are superheroes
All women are superheroes ;)
Ariel is slowly become a member
I love it ahahahah
With how often Ned mentions her, and the amount of videos she's in, she pretty much is.
THE TRY GUYS.......and Ariel
Try gal
She already is
To be honest, this is my dream home!!! Ariel is such a professional at what she does and Ned is really good at being there for her!!!

aww, how sweet
At first I thought the dog was a nice fluffy cushion on the sofa 🛋
😂🙈
I was even thinking of asking in the comments section where they got this fluffy teddy-bear like toy but then "the toy" suddenly moved
Kaye Yeo 😄
See every time Ariel is around I'm like 'yea no if she were my wife I would be the same way as Ned'. Like she's THAT lady
Congrats!!!
No wonder he is obssessed with Ariel. I mean...i am too now.
Creep
Ded Memez Lol what the fuck is a creep for you? This was clearly meant complimentary😂
This house is gorgeous but you have to do an update video after Wes' first bday because he and all his things will take over the entire house.
Oh my I would marry those tiles
Mia Celice Melberg What?!?! XD
Mia Celice Melberg aZqq
Really? I don’t like them.
Luke Hemmings well you are not invited to our wedding
🙅🏽♀️
Mia Celice Melberg | that’s ok. I’ll just marry their bed. An none of you are invited either
Ariel is such a badass! Strongest woman ever, actual superhero! Go, girl!
Can we get an update on their budget??? Im curious how much it all cost and if they stayed to budget
Skylar S I’m curious about their budget as well
Yes tell us
Skylar S yeah
Who else skiped to the revel???
I doubt it, they probably went over. My mom is an interior designer and people almost always go over budget their first remodel, there’s just nooo way to predict how expensive a remodel truly is.
Ariel really is amazing. Watching this now feeling so sad!
It’s been already a year?! also HGTV needs to have them start a show
If we blink two more times we'll already be dead 😂
i know right!!
😅what is HGTV?
Typically, I am extremely pessimistic about marriage and love, but if their marriage survived rebuilding a home during a pregnancy/with a newborn, they'll be together forever.
Sharon B eugene ghostwrote this
tbh they are better than jim + pam
well…
i really enjoy ned and his wife. they are couple goals
Ned and Ariel*
I forget that Ned had an actual career before the try guys so it makes sense he has a good amount of money combined with Ariel.
"actual career" lol
What is his job before?
He was a chemist in Chicago, i think it was Chicago. He went to Yale and after was like a chemical engineer at this big company before his knee got really messed up. He had to have a bunch of surgeries and became depressed so they moved to California for a life change. Ariel started a design company, I think, and Ned started working at Buzzfeed.
@@janetipoo he did have an actual career. He went to Yale and worked as a chemical engineer before buzz feed.
and his dad is a doctor so he got that family monaaaaayyyyyy
Can we get another video where Ariel explains IN DEPTH about her design thoughts around this house, and like, how the hell she managed to put this all together? And like, go round the house and point out specific features or moments of artistic flair which she put in and why it works and what it's inspired by?
yes!! bc i would love to be ableto do this, but would have no idea where to start, and how to put it all together
Oh hell yeah
Please!! That would actually be amazing. A Christmas Ariel special maybe? :0
You can feel the love within their relationship every second. EVERY. SECOND. Relationship goals
Wow, absolutely stunning. Great job you two. The built-in bookshelf is a thing of beauty. ❤❤❤
From the perspective a real estate professional and stager/designer, I love how you incorporated the Spanish tile throughout to maintain the feel of the home's history.

New Title- “Ariel’s House Tour”
Something I've found that I really like about The Try Guys is even though they're pretty big on UA-cam and stuff, they still seem like real people, not "celebrities" even though they are celebrities. I don't know why, but it's refreshing. They seem like normal dudes just doing UA-cam... lol I really like it
yesss
Eugene's mom already there while ranking the fruits.
Damn, I need to marry an interior decorator
Olivia Sasso I like decorating, but some people just have a natural eye for it and know how it will overall look in a room. Also, that’s not my career path lol
In a year Ned an Ariel remodeled a house had a baby, Ned left his secure job with health insurance to start a new company and had knee surgery. I think a try guys video should be the try guys try try a nervous breakdown.
can we talk about Ariels post baby bod!! ummm wow!! she looks amazing
At first, I skipped this video because... who cares - it's just a house. Out of boredom, I decided to watch it tonight, and, I'm glad I did. What a beautiful and unique home. No wonder it got its own video. Congrats!
