@@nightingale4786 Ned also had the financial backing to help start the company. His family is really well off apparently so while I don't think he got money from them directly, he was already in a good financial position because of them.
I hate how Ned says "consensual workplace relationship" when he was the head of HR which clearly created a power imbalance.. hard to get consent when you're someone's boss
Legally, you can't get consent because there is a possibility that it was faked out of fear for their job. You can't rule out that possibility so that's why they could've been up for a sexual misconduct case.
@@juanmanuelmoramontes3883 she's definitely not clean but the company could be under fire. Because he was her boss, she could say that she felt pressured, even if she didn't.
Dude, she had a fiance that shed been in a very long-term relationship with. She knew exactly what she was doing. You're making it out like it's a teacher and a minor student. Or a ceo and a janitor. When really, the better example would be an employee dating a manager from a different division, as he was not a direct supervisor. I'm not saying he's innocent of cheating, as he very much isn't, but this abusing authority nonsense is just pure cap. If they worked at Home Depot, for example, the comparison would be if she was in the garden centre and dating the manager of the tool rental section. Sure, he's higher up in management, but they are not in the same vertical hierarchy. Now, if there'd been an hr issue and he sided with her or sided against her, then you could claim an abuse of power, but I've heard no suggestions of the kind. I suspect the real truth is that the 3 Amigos realized it'd be a great way to go from being 1/4 of the main cast to being 1/3 of the cast, thus meaning they would get a far larger share of the profits. But I'm sure everyone will disagree with that last point as everyone is eating up what the remaining try guys are saying, and not even considering if there were motives behind the scenes.

I'm always going to be so curious about what Ned's reaction to losing in the poptart episode must have looked like, for it to have been so intense that Rachel seemingly came out from behind the camera to comfort the judges.
The biggest impact Ned left behind is the hassle the poor guys had to go through to edit him out of pre recorded videos. Other than that, it's really like he was never a part of the team. It doesnt seem like his cringey jokes are missed by the audience, videos aren't any shorter or less quality, no one is saying "Aw, I miss when Ned was here". Seeying how much the guys are shining and all the new cool editions we are getting, this change was truly for the best.
Not that I blame other youtubers for avoiding talking about their canceled former "coworkers" (can't think of a better word), but it's refreshing to see them be so openly shady without it being overwhelmingly vitriolic. Of course, that approach wouldn't work in every case, but it's nice that they're able to process all this so openly.
For sure. It kind of just wipes him from the conversation, versus raking him over the coals puts more spotlight and favor on him and he can retaliate. A few sly comments kind of breezes through the awkwardness and you move on. It's like seeing a cockroach on the sidewalk; you grimace and leave it to its refuse.
I feel like he who shall not be named was sorta just the person who kept a stopping people from doing stuff cause of “the brand” and “marketability” and stuff cause it feels like now they’re starting to do stuff that they just want to do completely artistically and looking for creative fulfilment a lot more.
I know they said there's not going to be a new "fourth Try Guy" (which I fully understand) but I'd love to see Gio in more videos. He was funny as hell 😂
Still can't get over the wording in N's response. "I'm sorry for any pain my actions MAY have caused." Like what do you mean "may"? You just ruined your marriage and lost not only all your friends but also your career. Did he think that no one was gonna be upset?
It's standard boiler plate apologizing. A lot of them take no responsibility and are more like "if you didn't like it, sorry for that, but it's kind of you".
I dont remember where. But an analyzer said, he isn't sorry. If he is, he would've said, I'm sorry FOR the pain I caused to my wife. Any and may is kinda just a slap in the face 😅
It seems like after N got dropped I feel like they’re happier, they have more creative room…I felt like he tried to keep everyone in this box to be like him.
Even back at BF he was majorly threatened by Eugene just being better at stuff and more popular. Did you really think he could handle two more guys growing?
Ned was playing it safe with the content. But TOO safe. It was going to get stale and now the adventureous (as opposed to competitive) boys are getting a breath of fresh air.
It crosses my mind that previous to the scandal, the three try guys were genuinely friends with Ned, and their content was edited to make Ned look as good as possible. I mean, of course it was edited to make them all look as good as possible- but all the stuff we can look back at and see Ned's red flags... That's after they cleaned up what they already had. It just makes you wonder what the guys were already overlooking about him, because they were being better friends to him, than he was to them.
Remember the drunk versus high math problems video? Where they spent an undisclosed amount of time trying to convince he who shall not be named to apologize to Keith instead of work on the problem? The answer is written at the bottom of the board, so I'm guessing it was a MUCH longer time and in the end he couldn't even spell Keith's name right
That happens a lot. When you really like and care about a person it's easy to overlook individual little red flags and not see them building into a big pile. It's sad.

The fact that the try guys have been able to get through without a recipe and actually gain MORE fans than they had with Ned speaks VOLUMES about how much Ned was actually disliked by both the audience and the guys before he was even outted as a lying, cheating dumb*ss.

He was for sure the reason I stopped watching years ago. He always came across so fake, and he started dominating the conversation so much it just wasn't worth it anymore.
In the poptart video you missed where they intentionally didn't edit him out eating a banana in the background when the judges were giving their verdict to Zach
in my opinion, Ned thought there was no tryguys without him. I think he would totally expect to fire anyone else who had behaved in the same way and risked the whole business, but for him he'd expect everyone to be like 'oh no we can't function without fred!' and that they would rug sweep his bullshit.
Everyone is commenting on how Ned wasn't a big loss, how the guys have clearly moved on and feel more free and unburdened, etc. And I agree! But it's also important to keep in mind just how huge of a betrayal this was for them. They may have had issues with Ned even before the scandal, but remember, Ned was still their friend, and someone they worked with for a long time who they thought they could trust. I love how they're making it their mission to bounce back and come back better than ever, but this wasn't some "oh well, too bad about Ned, now then let's move on." This was devastating to them, and I don't ever want to take for granted how painful this has been for Eugene, Zac, and Keith, despite Ned's departure ultimately being for the better.
Oh my goodness, yes, that last clip is everything. If even Rachel (who I have now learned is like a mother figure to them as well as their director) is having to tell the elephant to calm down, then something's off
my favorite thing that happened is ned had made a remark about their sub count being at 7.9 mil for years, and the second he's ousted they zoomed past 8 mil. good for them good for them
Again, another round of props for the editors who worked tirelessly probably through one of the most stressful periods and were still able to line the cloud with their hilarity 👏👏👏
after n-day and the announcement of essentially a soft rebrand of the try guys, i always wondered in the back of my mind if ~he~ was the one who didn’t want to take risks with the content and now the remaining guys feel kind of free to let loose there’s also an existential angle of having felt so close to losing their whole livelihood or knowing that they can never truly go back to the way things were before but, yeah, i’m just spitballing here
Yeah, I always felt that if the Guys had traditional titles, Ned would be CFO. He definitely seemed most aware of their financial position and consequently was more risk-averse, so he focused on creating reliably sponsor friendly content. Just my impression.
Remember back to the beginning of Second Try-Ned brought it up to the other 3, and literally made them do it in his old house. Ned is nothing and had no career without the other Try Guys. But his hubris was too much.
It's almost paradox if he really was so concerned about risk with the company and then he does something that could annihilate the company with lawsuits. Truly shows that guys like him don't follow the rules they demand of others...
What makes me kind of sad/angry is the fact that Ned probably will not have any damage from his behaviour: He probably got a huge lump sum for his stake in the company, Ariel will stay with him, cause she is a really good person and someone of his Yale friends will get him another high paying job. Sad but it is always how it works out
Well...he definitely loved being popular and all the attention that came with being the Try Guy. That's completely lost, he's nowhere to be seen, he hasn't become an influencer with his own brand or anything like that. Bet he misses that.
You missed Keith's and Zack's exchange during backing when Zack was asking for some ingredient in exchange for a kiss and Keith was like "not in this working climate" or something😂😂😂😂
How so ? There have only been a few video releases since their video titled "What Happened". How did you come to the conclusion that the channel is much better. To me it still feels the same.
here to share a couple of gems from the trypod: the first was when rainie was put on the spot to create a theme song for a segment where zach pitched a bad show, and she came up with “bad ideas is a slogan(?) we don’t use anymore”. the second was when miles asked zach (in regards to his milk preferences) if soy was cancelled, and zach immediately entered pr mode, and then miles said, “we regret to inform you that soy is no longer a member of the try guys,” then followed it up by saying he’d cut it, to which zach said, “no, i thought it was clever, i just can’t comment on it”
Hilarious to me that UA-cam journalists are still out here making bogus drama videos about how often the try guys “aren’t moving on” because of “all” the Ned “jabs” but you can’t even make an entire video compilation of them because they’re either extremely subtle or vague and there’s only been a very few.

in retrospect the guys have always had such distinct personalities but ned was always just. the one with a bunch of shitty catchphrases and gimmicks (wife guy, yale degree, bad ideas etc) lmao like he genuinely brought nothing to the table
To be fair, he had a few other dimensions to him that were revealed if you looked closely. He was weirdly competitive with Eugene, sometimes to the point of thinly-veiled hostility. He was not as loving or interested in his pet as the other try guys. Even though he was the only one particularly interested in fatherhood, he had the hardest time in the Father’s Day episode where they had to watch toddlers. He went to an Ivy League and felt that this made him “the smart one” even though he makes objectively terrible choices. He had a personality, it just wasn’t a very good one and that’s why he relied so much on Ariel to seem interesting 😂.
@Halloween All Year Round I always felt bad for Ned too. But that was as a viewer who assumed it must be tough to be the least funny in a comedy group, hence why he was trying different catchphrases and stuff. But because he was the least funny... the guys are fine without him. Lol, and he always did have a nasty streak. That's how as a fan I know he was a douche about the firing.
@@Updog89 I don't know how weird the competitiveness was. Ned formed TTGs, but he's not that good on camera. Eugene is. A lot of people get jealous in that situation, where they aren't the natural lead. He just couldn't accept that he's the guy who formed the Beatles and not even at the level of Ringo. He's an office guy
They must’ve disliked Ned a little bit before all of that took place. It was way too easy for them to ostracize him. Imagine if it was Keith who cheated on Becky or Eugene cheated on Matt. I feel the other boys would react more sad and disappointed rather than pissed off and disgusted.
I hate how careful they have to be when talking about him but at the same time it is pretty hilarious that they’re all basically like "Well in my personal opinion that does not in any way reflect the views of my company; Ned fucking sucks"
You can tell the Try Guys were having a fall out with Ned way before this came to light, because when you're already on bad terms their actions become more irritating and other stuff you might've let slide for the sake of peace actually start to really affect you. Ned wasn't, from what I can see, a very good teammate or coworker and it almost feels like they let him stay this long because A) it was his old house they were using and B) they didnt want to create negative attention and ruin their image. Anyways, ned ruined it for everyone and I'm glad he's gone. Oh and I miss Ariel.
There is no Ned in Ba Sing Se. Same energy as Stalin removing Nikolai Yezhov from his photo...and I'm glad for that. Seriously, kudos to the editing team for doing God's work. This was not an easy task, but they went above and beyond! The editing of the elephant over Ned was the most exquisite shade of all. Ned was my favorite...NOT. Hated him with a burning passion. Like we get it, you're married, move on! I felt bad for Ariel, and the drama only confirmed why I felt that way. He just didn't fit in with the dynamic of the group. And him wearing that "I Love Bad Ideas" shirt in the Pop Tart one sure aged like fine wine
I won't say I guessed he was cheating. But I knew something wasn't right BECAUSE he always said he was married. He even did that before TTGs were formed. Happily married people don't keep saying it, you know? They just are. And in he departure video with BF, he was working with Kelsey - blonde like Ariel - and that made me think. (I'm not accusing Kelsey of anything, I was thinking he tried.)

Really sounds like N wasn't a huge loss
I genuinely keep forgetting he ever existed 😂
He was always the one i tolerated to enjoy the other 3
I said that too. He was the least impactful one to lose.
i get the vibe that the others just put up with him because in their early days, it was beneficial to have someone with a managerial background to do all the books without having to outsource it. creatively though, i don't think ned was a key contributor at all. in the same podcast, i think keith was the one who said that the true essence of what set the try guys apart was their fast and comedic editing. and that was a slight at how ned didn't contribute to that at all. i loved that!
Trust me, Alex was VERY consenting of it considering she was willing to do her 10 yr long relationship and FIANCÉ in like that.
It really depends, she also had a partner, I don't she's clean in this either.
@@juanmanuelmoramontes3883 she's definitely not clean but the company could be under fire. Because he was her boss, she could say that she felt pressured, even if she didn't.

The answer is written at the bottom of the board, so I'm guessing it was a MUCH longer time and in the end he couldn't even spell Keith's name right

there’s also an existential angle of having felt so close to losing their whole livelihood or knowing that they can never truly go back to the way things were before but, yeah, i’m just spitballing here
Yeah, I always felt that if the Guys had traditional titles, Ned would be CFO.
Ned is the white bread of the group he’s really nothing special and is just kinda there
Seems to me Ned was _fine_ with taking risks, but only stupid ones that would destroy his life, apparently!
I stopped watching their channel bc I thought they were getting annoying. Turns out it was just him and now I like their channel again
I just wish Ariel felt comfortable enough to be a part of the channel still. She deserved better.

We need to analyse how fuckn amazing the try guys blew past the whole Ned disaster. Like good lord they did a great job
in retrospect the guys have always had such distinct personalities but ned was always just. the one with a bunch of shitty catchphrases and gimmicks (wife guy, yale degree, bad ideas etc) lmao like he genuinely brought nothing to the table

He just couldn't accept that he's the guy who formed the Beatles and not even at the level of Ringo.
He's an office guy
I like how now they are not just the try-guys but are also the tri-guys
They must’ve disliked Ned a little bit before all of that took place. It was way too easy for them to ostracize him. Imagine if it was Keith who cheated on Becky or Eugene cheated on Matt. I feel the other boys would react more sad and disappointed rather than pissed off and disgusted.
Probably still would have booted them if it had been an employee, though.
I was just feeling sad that Ariel wouldn't be at Zach and Maggie's wedding

On to bigger and better!
Looking back on the videos now that I know that they had problems with ned, I can totally see it and feel the vibe. I always liked Keith better anyways 🤣
I only like Keith and Eugene actually, NEVER liked ned cuz he acted SO force by maning her wife all the time, was SO annoying, that dude NEVER said ANYTHING besides "My wife " and the way who did the hair transplant acts SO childish like he thinks he is cute
@@AyAReI00 I think Zach is cute :(
I love that they are openly not supportive of it what so ever like they didn’t try to sugar coat it or even just ignore it they openly are like saying a huge F you
You missed the part when someone on eat the menu told keith about how his dad was his moms boss and that they had to leave the company... Keith "oh we know all about this"
Re: "you're scaring our judges" (last clip), I always felt that Ned yelling on Without a Recipe was 100% him just trying to copy Keith's (much funnier and more natural) jokey tantrums...
"You know he's auditioning to be the fourth Try Guy." No, he's succeeding in replacing Ned.
I wonder if ned still watches the try guys videos to see what he fumbled
3:35 he used to work for buzzfeed. Manipulation and copying is what he does best
I was recently rewatching some old try guys to see if Ned had something in him, instead I missed Eugene being in more videos😂
I always had an iffy feeling about their chemistry with Ned, I liked him. But it seems now that they were just waiting for any good reason to cut him loose. And he handed them a gold mine
I mean every Try Guys fan would openly admit Ned was the weakest link. So I knew they'd be okay.
@@lucystoner at some point I would have said Zach, but he's picked up a lot in the past few years
@@lucystoner Even before they went out on their own. But back then they would also do other stuff in the company as well as their own stuff.
Being together just made that weakness worse.
Good god I miss Ariel. Such a ray of sunshine.
Oooooh I’ve never seen WAR for pop tarts!!! Yay thanks for the heads up !! :)
I still miss Ariel 😢 she was my favorite personality on the channel
Same. She's such a badass, and she even designed the Try Guys office. The sad truth is that we probably won't see her again. She can't come back if she stays with Ned, and if she leaves, being around the Try Guys may becomes a sore spot. And if she does come back, she may need to stay away from the comments, because she'll probably receive inappropriate comments from viewers.
i think it's truly amazing that ned didnt win a single WAR episode this season, i also know he was a part of the broadway episodes and can you IMAGINE if he won THAT?? the entire thing wouldve had to been scrapped
“And we used to work with someone who didn’t edit at all”
“sounds like a personal problem”
i just miss ariel, she really was the best part of him and it sucks so much that she got the worst deal from all this.
