Just bought one and tbh I’ve always been one to spend crazy money on having nice cars and at some point you have to say for what? To look cool? A car is for transportation from point A to point B. It’s simple, practical and gets amazing gas mileage that’s all I need. Love it!
Yea, not to mention, most people arn't in a good position to be buying expensive cars. Just $1000 is alot of money. And many suvs and sedans average out to be 40k. This baby is only 15k lol
@@tuanas458 yes!! Idk as I get older I’m lesss worried about what people think about what I’m driving idgaf It’s more money in my pocket lol I filled up last Sunday and I still have well over a quarter left lmao
@@roblove1869 Its a hard decision though because I've been driving a Lexus for over a decade now that was given to me in my teens. The car is old now and I'm wiser. Its hard to give up the luxury and go into something super cheap.
I will say, the Versa has come a long way. Not that it was a bad car, but it’s gone from that “rental car” image to a good daily driver with nice features!
The Versa is a great looking car see Nissan cars and SUVS are getting better every year. It's a beautiful little car love the blue color along siblings Sentra and Altima.
Great review, Christopher! It's small affordable cars like this Versa that get me excited! Lamborghinis, McLarens, Ferraris, Teslas etc. bore me because I know I can never afford them! People love to hate on Nissan CVTs but I say, give Nissan a chance! I'm sure they've improved them!
Well reviewed of the ride in your side of the world! Compared to our SE Asia equivalent called Almera Turbo, mine is fitted with 1.0l turbo which gives a good punch from standstill and fuel consumption is rated here at least 5.7l/100km. Decent highway cruising speed and comfortable (I do complain the two-tone too) seats. I definitely enjoy mine as the owner of the ride you are reviewing here☺️
Yes! 2022 just got it on dec 26, 2023. I’m adjusting from driving a 2011 6 speed manual transmission Chevy Camaro that I loved 😢! Could not find parts and money was limited so, I traded for this car. My family is happy because I am 65 and they thought it was too much power but I owed it for 11 years without tickets and no accidents that I caused. Slow take off from what I’m accustomed to but that is to be expected.
I love my 2020 Versa SR. It might not be the car for everyone, but it perfect for me. I have the button access for the trunk. Did they take that away 2022 model or is it necessary to move up to the 2022 SR package to get that ?
No the climate switches was taken out and added to the convince package. And trunk button is only for SR models. It's called keyless entry.. which is why is another reason why I perfer an SR.
I have a 2015 and love it.. No problems at all even still on the original battery. Nothing change oil and CVT fluid, common stuff. I'm looking at the 22 or 23 and since you're not far from me.... Great review btw
Same here; 2015 purch Apr 2016 new at dealer. Like Christopher said, driven properly, CVT is solid. It is a cruiser, not a sports car. Constantly accelerating will make the CVT fluid run too hot. Change CVT fluid every 30K miles for it to last. Ed, this new body style is so different than "our" bubble car, eh? LOL When he said the intereior was best for a driver only; no passenger; we do not have that issue for sure! Roomy bubble LOL
i do security...we had a bunch of versas......step on the gas..so much noise from the engine and transmission....in heat...we hat to pop the hood, to keep it from overheating..and blew a radiator hose because it could not handle the arizona heat
Compare SV to an SR... I perfer an SR.. soft touch dash with LED headlights with 17s with a deck lid wing.. with black out mirrors including essential sensors.
the nissan cvt worlds worst.,,,,,,,if u test drive one,,,,get it on the road, floor board it.,u will not want to hear that noise,,,,,,that cvt will not last....and cannot be repaired,,,,it willl cost u 4 or 5 grand

@@carsunlocked I’m actually getting one today I hope they improve the cvt which I am sure they most likely did but I have a 7 year warranty

I have the 2014 and I really love it. I want the 2023
Nice, I like the Sentra. I’m glad they still make a manual and I hope they keep that option around for a while
thanks for watching!

Maybe you could l use your influence and lobby to keep the Maxima. Just a dream thanks for the video
lol I wish I had enough influence to do this!
Im still considering the versa. What is the current SRP for S or SV models.
here in canada it is $20 498
Been looking to buy my first car and I had a versa for rental and have been thinking about getting one. Do you think it could do a long road trip ?
yes theres a lot of space in it
I assume it has navigation in the display and such?
Nissan Versa is always my reference for bang for buck. Full car for little money.
no nav only when you connect to apple car play or android auto
Thanks for this review.
God bless.
glad you enjoyed it!
Does the sv have the folding armrest on the driver's seat or is that just in the SR ?
this one has the arm rest!
Do you know if the engine and transmission issues have been fixed?
yes from what nissan has stated
buy a toyota or honda...better cvt...they have a didicated first gear
We bought the Versa for our kids due to the advanced safety features. You can't get it all on any other inexpensive car.
yes its loaded with tech
Ride and handling?
for under 20k it is a nice ride. steering is pretty loose but the cvt is smooth
Compare SV to an SR... I perfer an SR.. soft touch dash with LED headlights with 17s with a deck lid wing.. with black out mirrors including essential sensors.
thanks for commenting Christopher you got an awesome name
Would this car be good if you drive for uber?
yes it would
I don't know how the fog lights are on the 2022 model, but they are very disappointing on the 2020 model. When on, you can't even tell they are on. ☹
great input I would assume the fog lights are the same?
@@carsunlocked They look the same for the 2022. 😊
@@Stephen_A. No longer standard on the SR!
@@sweaner I'd be mad if I had paid extra for the fog lights just to have them be subpar.
Why is it a 2022 one costs 19k but the new 2023 ones cost 16k ?
this is the canadian MSRP it might be different where you are from
How can you help me to purchase this vehicle
I work at st Catharines Nissan contact me and we can certainly assist you
Hmmm… maybe? Thanks for the review.
Thanks for watching!
Nice car

Kind of glad I don't have those white accents on interior. Not digging it. 😍
