It was littered with stone follies . One by the wall on Church Rd by Reservoir Rd , another at the bottom field at Woolton Park . As you walked out along the path towards the top of Church Road , on the right hand side was a small gate in a wall-tunnel that lead steeply down to an enclosed garden . It was left unpadlocked once and we all got to see the mystery ! Long time since the sixties .....
South Liverpool was...and is..full of green spaces with interesting features..my favourite the tiny tunnel and stepping stones over Sefton Park Lake where we played as children
