    Fantastic tutorial. Although it took me 4 hours to follow these 22 minutes 😅 But you always explained things so clearly there wasn't ever a moment of doubt about how to do the next step.

    @mumumundo Could you technically set up drivers linked to the appleARkit blend shapes that would allow you to control a 2d mouth rig like this with iPhone facecap?

      It doesn't make sense, an update is supposed to make new things possible and the current things work better, not making something unachievable

      I had the same problem check which axis is up and down. For the tutorial it's z for me it ended up being y. then change the seprate xyz accordingly

    Hi, thank you for this tutorial. This is really far the best 2D mouth tutorial that I have seen so far, and I have seen a lot 🙂
    One question however: is there a way to have shape keys with this setup? Or maybe in other words, can I just somehow create several fix mouth expressions and than use them when I need them? Maybe it's a silly question, but I am quite new in Blender and I just cannot find an easy way to animate a mouth or eyes throughout a cartoon. Posing bones in every second seems a bit too weird to me.

    el problema surge cuando quiero mover todo , osea la cabeza junto con la boca , se deforma y no queda la boca en su posicion

      One way is to Parent the mouth to the head by clicking the mouth then the head, then pressing ctrl+P and chosing object

    i have a question. if i wanted the teeth to be spiked like shark teeth, or a different shape, what would i do? i dont really know how to search for this does anyone have suggestions? is there a way i could use a image texture? edit: found a way to do it :)

      You can always use an image texture. Not sure how to do it procedurally but it might be possible.

    For some reason i can't parent the bones, i deleted all the bone because simply it was not possible to make this parent working... i use industrial compatible, the reason is that used to use the 3ds max... since the license became expansive for me, i had no choice but learn blender

      you can hit Tab in industrial (or F3 in the default keymap) to quickly seach for operators and their hotkeys. You can also search the keymap itself (Preferences > Keymap)

    at 3:12 when i click on thesubdivison surface, the colors of the mouth disappear

      I just tried with the latest version of Blender, still works fine here. Recheck, maybe there's a step you missed.
