Tom's guitarist, the legendary Big Jim Sullivan. He played on about 55 #1 hit records as a studio musician. The first guitarist to use Fuzz on a record. He worked alongside a young Jimmy Page in the London studio, gave teenage Richie Blackmore guitar lessons. He also let Jimmy Page borrow his acoustic for Led Zeppelin IV recording sessions. He became friends with Elvis when they hung out in Las Vegas. What an incredible musician. Thank you for sharing this treasure! #bigjimsullivan

I saw an interview with Jim a few years ago and he said that he had to sign the equivalent of an NDA with studios that were hiring him as a session guitarist to make sure it never got out who he was actually substituting. There's a LOT of guitar parts on records from the 60's & 70's that he actually played and not the artist on the label or in the band.

@peacenow42 listen, I was born surrounded by the most important people in the second half of the 20th country, not in one, but in three countries, and the first thing I learned from my interaction with them year after year, till my 72 years, today, especially after having 723 classmates before I even went to university, was to never shy away from calling out a person for his best and worst attributes. And Burt falls easily into that kind of analysis because he LOOKS and SPEAKS, AND ACTS as if he was the most normal, one in a billion type of person. Look at that face. Then, try to imagine having a talk with him at an airport VIP lounge, or some place where a celebrity of his statute, but which does not own a plane, or uses it, and you will see the REAL Burt. Tom Jones is the opposite, he shows his devilish nature, publicly, but in person is the kindest, less pompous person you or anyone could wish tp meet. So, in short, you wanted me to be either an optimist or a not well informed type of person, but neither would equal the giving of a REALITY check in Bacharach's case.

@@pulmon66 I have a few stories from celebrity meets over the years. One of the Beach Boys and it wasn't Mike, Brian or Carl... wouldn't take a photo with the young kid (me) because the cash he demanded fell out of my pocket. David Crosby... let's just say Graham Nash was a much more pleasant person to be around. Five of the most awesome celebrities I ever met. Felix Cavalier and Eddie Brigati of the Rascals shook my hand and geeked out with me about the lyrics to their songs. Denny Laine of the Wings was the sweetest man you could imagine. BJ Thomas what a kind man that introduced us to his kids. Scary Alice Cooper was amazingly a sweetheart and treated us like family.

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head,
An' just like the guy who's feet are too big for his bed,
    Nothin' seems to fit,
Those raindrops are fallin' on my head,
    They keep fallin'...
So i just did me some talkin' to the sun,
And i said i didn't like the way he got things done,
    Sleepin' on the job,
Those raindrops are fallin' on my head,
    They keep fallin'...
But there's one thing, i know,
The blues they send to meet me,
    Won't defeat me,
It won't be long 'till happiness
    Steps up to greet me...
Raindrops keep fallin' on my head,
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red,
    Cryin's not for me,
'cause, i'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'
    Because i'm free
    Nothin's worryin' me
    Nothin's worryin' me...
But there's one thing, i know,
The blues they send to meet me,
    Won't defeat me,
It won't be long 'till happiness
Steps up to greet me . . .
    ... One two three four
    Five six seven eight...
Raindrops keep fallin' on my head,
But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turnin' red,
    Cryin's not for me,
'cause, i'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin'
