I had the amazing pleasure of spending some time with him. Have to say he was always my hero. I play piano and we discussed much, including his difficult chord selection and Lost Horizon. Told him how much I loved that music, had the album, etc. He laughed and said Newley and I were the only ones who loved it. Many years later, he's still my hero and find his chords difficult! It was an amazing special and wonderful time that God gave to me which I'll never forget

I am 77 and have always enjoyed his music however it was delivered ... solo, orchestral, Dione Warwick etc.. My daughter was on stage with him in Melbourne years ago and she got him to autograph the concert ticket to me. Good memories.
💖🌟💖Yes, in the mid 80's at La Costa Resort, CA he asked me to hit tennis balls to him, (I was a pro). I hit every tennis ball directly to him (to not embarrass Mr Bacharach). We sat on the bench to talk. He was a thorough gentleman even tho I was 25 years younger💖🌟💖
As a trumpet player now retired, my musical mentors were Herb Alpert, Sergio Mendez and the great Burt Bacharach. Many songs I have written long ago were inspired by these great artists. There is a dream out there that we have all seen and attempt to capture some aspect of it. Burt shows himself finding the place and going back whenever he closes his eyes. It is a place that only exists in love. I have even seen Russian musicians and singers finding it and writing songs like Igor Krutoy and many others. Japan and South Korea are catching up on it. Once encountered you hope to never lose your way back for the rest of your life. My love to you all !
Takes me back to some great, great times. I saw Dionne Warwick perform some of Burt’s songs at the “Westside Room” at the Century Plaza Hotel, Century City, CA. Thought it would last forever…what great memories…thank you Burt. RIP

Terrific concert -- everyone is precisely on beat, timing is perfect all the way through! Great artistry by all Burt's performers and orchestra -- just a pleasure to hear all those great songs again but especially; with Burt presiding with every heartbeat of his great songs! Burt B. was about 81 at the above performance, and still has it! He wrote some of the great songs of the 20th century that we'll never forget. He lived another some 14 years and just kept at it even in his golden years. But no wonder, he had a lot to give! RIP, now, Burt B.
Have always loved the Roberta Flack song. I downloaded the music for it the other day and was surprised to discover it was written by Burt. He wrote so much in his lifetime, the majority of which folk have never heard. I'm still trawling through it all now. The best.

Every time I hear his music he takes me back to my childhood, I experience the same tingling sensation when I first heard his music, the emotion and sensation in me. After so many years, I still feel it every time I listen to his music. Some people say what he plays is not Jazz. Of course it is not Jazz, it is Burt Bacharach.
