Also, fun fact about The Devil In I - the way each of them die in the video is symbolic of their greatest fears. For example, Sid Wilson (the one that ate his own hands) is the DJ for the band, so his greatest fear is losing the things (arms and hands) most important to him regarding the band. Also, Chris (the long-nose one) has a fear of birds, so he was pecked to death by ravens. They all basically picked how they'd die in the video due to their biggest fears.
Ohhhhhh that’s actually kinda fire
@@DantesWRLD You'll find on your Slipknot journey that nothing they do is by accident...every decision has some form of meaning behind it. I love watching people discover them for the first time!! 🙃🤘
My man is slowly turning in one of us
MAGGOTS 🤘
The nail guy, used to use a metal scuba helm & 9 inch nails in his mask, almost 100% soundproof. On their first tour a backstage woman tried talking to him, he didn't hear her and turned around when she touched him. Her hair got caught up in the nails.and he almost impaled her face.
He fixed that with the subsequent tours
😭😭
Dante out here discovering break-downs for the first time 😂
For real 😂 it's brilliant
Corey Taylor the vocalist is incredible. Watch his performance of Snuff and Bother , just him and his acoustic guitar in London, I believe. He's also in a maskless band Stone Sour.
Something to know. Psychosocial was actually filmed on one of the members properties with thr neighbors watching.
That was probably an interesting scene to see 🤣
You NEED to check out their performance of Spit It Out from Download festival 2009 if you haven’t already - it's incredible!
This!!^^
Joey Jordison the master of the drums passed away in 2021, and Paul Gray on the bass passed away in 2010
Awww dang, RIP to those 2 they were definitely talented
yeah they are. @@DantesWRLD
@@DantesWRLDThey were both legends gone far too soon. Joey was the drummer on Psychosocial, but he left the band in 2013 in large part due to health complications making it near impossible to continue performing. The drummer on The Devil In I is Jay Weinberg, who took over after Joey left. Unfortunately, Jay was released from the band a few months ago, so they're working on a new drummer currently.
Jim Root is the savage on the guitar. The dude gets some of his guitars worked on by the guy i take my guitars to. Didnt know it until one day I saw one of Jim's PRS guitars with his name and # on the back of the headstock of it. Dudes wicked as hell and 6'6" he's imposing looking to boot.
Eyeless Is a good song u should check out by slipknot
The drums in that song are 🔥
Jesus you've done some awesome bands over the past few weeks 🤘🤘. I'm here for it!! Brothers'* over here starting to understand why we always headbanging 🤣🤣
I just started hearing Slipknot recently and haven't heard em all but nero forte is pretty dope
Nero Forte is 🔥
That's so funny that you would run away, I would run right to them. I love Slipknot and I'm a 60 year old woman! ☮️💜🤘🔥
I'd run right to them too - I'm a 32-year-old woman, and a 20-year maggot myself! Rock on, love!! 🤘🤘🤘❤️
@crichards037 34 here and a 20 year maggot as well 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Also the lead singer of slipknot Corey Taylor is also the lead singer of a band called Stone Sour. You've probably heard thesong by Stone Sour "Through Glass", it was all over the radio for the longest time, played in commercials, played in stores and malls, and pretty much everywhere.
Love the positivity bro ❤
Just an FYI - the band members change their masks for each album/tour so if you watch more videos you'll see the changes.
If you haven't done the song Duality yet you should, it's a fantastic introduction to the band.
The masks are custom made, but I'm sure they took inspiration from a lot of themes. Fun fact, they come up with new masks for each album. The versions of them that die in "The Devil and I" are their past selves, which you can tell because they're wearing the old masks.
you need to try duality and before i forget!
YES PLEASE! Two of my absolute favorite songs!! 🤘🤘🤘
If youd react to Slipknot again you should listen to Custer
I think the idea behind the masks was most music was being sold on the look of a lot of bands, rather than the music, so the band went with overalls and masks to not be identifiable and also frightening rather than appealing. They then each chose masks that fit personal meanings to themselves. Band members have said it also allows them to really let rip when performing without feeling self-conscious. Each album, they update the masks, usually on a similar theme, but not always
Yes, you are correct on all fronts! 😊 (Source: I've been a maggot for 20 years lol)
Your reaction to these two videos was epic! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
And now you understand why we run in circles and slam our bodies into each other. If you want to see it really bonkers, look for a wall of death clip 😂
Corey can that's for sure. It has always amazed with how most NU metal artists can go from screaming to carrying a pitch. Corey and Jonathan Davis f r om Korn have great voice and I have herd them both live multiple times and they sound just as good live
And they are the most humble dudes you would ever meet….dont let the mask deceive you 🤘🏻😏🖤
At 6:25 when you the song goes hard, welcome to the exciting world of metal breakdowns. Its always awesome to see new inductees that dive into the crazy world of Slipknot. Very fun to watch this with you dude.
Metal music will consume your life. It saved mine, in fact.
Same!
I swear, almost everyone gets that stank face during breakdowns, even if they've never heard one before or know what one is. Love to see it. 🤘
Slioknot is the goat
it's my second time commenting on a youtube video. Bust from the amount of your followers I can tell you're a new reactor. Don't let the beginning struggles to take ypu down.. I love how you're vibing to new stuff (for you).. you're going to make it definatelly!! If The comment likes help him LIKE THIS!!!!
I appreciate that so much 🙏🏽💯

You put the mask on I hit SUBSCRIBE! Welcome to becoming a Moggot my man!
"dude got the god damn god damn poking out his shit" lmfaooo 5:09
The masks started when Shawn “the clown” Crahan wore a clown mask to a rehearsal then everyone else got masks and matching jumpsuits
U gotta listen to eyeless, wait and bleed, duality and sic
you always looks cool just like all youre video
I dont understand why everyone just started reacting/listening to slipknot live they have been around over 25 years cant wait for the consert in december 💀🤟
I don’t listen to Rock or Metal music so I decided to check it out since I just started doing reactions and what not
@@DantesWRLDRun with it, man. I could see that special Slipknot twinkle in your eye...you owe it to yourself to explore their music further. So many people write them off based on looks and assumptions without giving them a chance, but they're incredible, legendary, and in my opinion, genre-defining.
For sure, I been enjoying coming out my comfort zone and listening to music I’m not all that familiar with. Over these past 2 years I’ve been being more and more open minded to things. And I’m glad I have because I’ve been liking things I never thought I’d like 💯
@@DantesWRLD If you're interested in checking out some similar but different things, two of my other favorite bands are Tool (check out The Pot, Schism, and Lateralus) and System Of A Down (try Chop Suey, Toxicity, Question!, B.Y.O.B., and Aerials to getcha started lol). Stone Sour is another great group - Corey Taylor is lead singer for both Slipknot and Stone Sour. 😁🤘
@@crichards037 I got a tool reaction up rn, I’m gonna check out more songs from them and the other bands as well
I had to drop a like once you put the mask on 👹.
Ps. Didn't retract the like when you took the mask off 😂
React react to slipknot: people=shirt live in london 2002👺
i recommend listening to pierce the veil as well, theyre more rock + screamo! if you do listen, try "Bulls In The Bronx", "Caraphernelia", or "King for a Day"
My brother, I know what your saying! Slipknot goes HARD🔥
I also recommend you to check out the band "Ice Nine Kills" if you liked Slipknot
Shitwasfire
🔥
🖤
The symbol burning on the ground in Psychosocial isnt anything satanic or anything like that, its a nonagram, which is slipknots logo, so dont worry they arent cultists (not that kind anyway lol)
💯💯
The Virus of Life
If slipknot pulled up in your crib they ain't shooting you they the mfs to rip you apart with their hands XD
Nero forte next!
I am 40 years old, listening to these guys since I was 17...so weird to still see people listening to them for the first time heh this Psychosocial isnt one of their best songs though.
Rewatch cause u missed alot
