You will have to shave in the morning , and after lunch. You will have time if u shave fast to brush your teeth 3 times during the day. Morning, lunch and dinner. If ur in class and have ur spit kit which is allowed in ur backpack then you can go to the bathroom and brush.
Can you give some insight on what to prepare for physically. Is there a gym with equipment at cape may. What kinds of exercises are done other than the push ups and sit ups. Anything one can do to prepare themselves.
I've had a couple videos that discussed some of this but I can't remember which ones. In general I always tell people to get in strong endurance shape, meaning being able to hold uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time. They do have a gym at Cape May, fully stocked with weights, treadmills, everything you'd find at a normal gym.

Nobody cares or is looking at you when you take showers together at Cape May. No, don't wear your underwear while showering. That would look weird and as was said in this video, it would bring attention to you and could make you a target for bullying and being made fun of by other recruits. Plus, what would you do with your wet underwear? Just take a shower so you're clean and don't stink of sweat. What you don't want to do is piss off your Company Commander so they order you to inspect the shower with them because you F'ed up. More than one recruit used to do that and ended up slipping in the shower and getting a bloody nose or some nasty bruises from falling accidentally. From what I hear I don't think the CC's swear and beat people as much as they used to during the Vietnam and prior eras. Some of the swearing was actually pretty creative, memorable and funny. I took showers with other males through all my high school years of playing sports and Beyond at the health clubs. I joined through the years. Not once has anybody ever tried to touch me or my last me! Lol it’s just a fear that somebody’s paranoid straight guys have that makes no sense whatsoever! Get in the shower, wash yourselves do what you Gotta do and get out I promise you, you will be safe! L O L.
bravo 178 well from what i remember back in 07 if you can get ready early and you have your towel and bathroom kit ready you can get a shower head to yourself but most of the time it was two to maybe three to a shower head.

I graduated on the 26th of may don’t worry about it if you are at the physical standards for the physical you’re good trust me

Haha I just finished coast guard boot camp.. never shower more than once a day these days. Hardest 8 weeks of my life.

I went through in 2004 and I remember almost always sharing. But things moved so quickly you don't even really notice tbh.
