As a fellow red interior Cuda owner, I had all my interior done in one color. I sent TC Global one of my sunvisors and they color matched it. My red interiored cuda is the correct red in a single color.

@@plainbrownwrapper9688 that’s the first sure way to have everything match. I just couldn’t dye my new door panels

Interior colors are so hard to match. Different materials, age of materials and texture makes it a real challenge. Your experience will go along way helping the next guy. Thanks

Yeah, i think the only way to have a perfect match is to dye everything which I am not going to do. I will probably leave the armrests for now

Thanks for another great video. Just about to order some black interior paint for my challengers kickpanels and seatbacks. Regarding the armrests, just put them on. A shade off is better than an old and cracked piece any day.

Thanks Andreas, I appreciate it! I think I might try and practice on my old armrests to see if I can get a decent blend but the door panels came out close...better than the new armrests anyway....or I could leave them lol

@@backyardhotrods9885 Did you have issues after use with almost everything that touches leaves Marks the SEM finish.? I did my Kick panel in the Black Landau and a week of sitting it scratched and marks up easy.

@@BuzzJones Hey Buzz, I honestly don't think I have had anything come in contact with them like leaves and such. I tried scratching it with my finger and it doesn't come off and seems durable. My armrests that I died are holding up fine come to think of it and they have the most contact points. Did you use an adhesion promoter?

@@backyardhotrods9885 Yes but I think I might try SEM low Sheen Clear they make for the Color & Classic Coat.

Hate to say it-----but it looks like all the paint match issues are because of the new door panels. The new arm rest color looks closer to the old door panel color. Maybe I'm wrong.

well don't forget the old panels on the car were died. But yes, the new panels are brighter

It could be much worse. I have a tan/saddle colored interior on my '79 Magnum GT and it seems like every piece of the interior is a different shade. You cannot tell what piece is the correct original color, so I gave up and I'm going to change all to red or black.

Yeah, I feel your pain. Going all black would be simple or just dye everything the same color

Hi Wayne. You can drive yourself crazy trying to match red. To be honest I think the arm rest contrast actually looks good and gives it a little highlight compared to all one color, but you are one that has to live with it. I would not dye them because that is a heavy used area and you want to be able to spray cleaner on them. Gary

Hey Gary, after I let it sit in for a bit...I think I will leave the armrests alone and live with it.

With any wax and grease remover you should wipe your cloth in one direction only to prevent just smearing it back and forth

Great video, hate to say this but maybe dye everything instead of trying to match the door panels. Wear will probably be an issue regardless.

Thanks Rod! I have heard of people dying everything...but I can't do it to these door panels. We'll see what I decide.

could be wrong but shouldn't this be "how to paint" this only covers the surface dye soaks in.
