This is absolutely ridiculous.. Firefighters are some of the bravest people in the world.. They need at least $30 an hr day 1 and veterans $50-60.. The city gotta do better

If it’s ok for government workers in the senate and house to vote in a raise for themselves? Firefighters are government workers too!!! So if it’s ok for government worker to vote a pay raise, then why can’t the taxpayers vote no? It’s our money!!! That’s a question I would liked answered!!! Government workers always forget it’s the peoples money that is being taken illegally!!! To help government workers and other countries but not the American Taxpayer!!!! Why is that? This is what our employees say to the American taxpayer!!! I’m with the government I’m here to take you money!!! Not to help you!!! just keep working!!! We need a raise!!!

They don't do shit all day. How many fires do you see in you're everyday life none or hardly any throughout the whole year. They spend most of their time playing video games and cooking meals there paid more than enough and they get paid to sleep.

Yeah no fires but a 17 year old dead in a car wreck (could not find him till he saw he was under the engine bay), a 42 year old also dead at 3 am car wreck (same, so mangled he had nightmares for days), a man hanging from his garage, my husband cut him down while the wife and daughter were losing their minds. Every call like this he loses some part of himself and peace. These calls are all within the last 3 months time, back to back and top that off with no sleep and being forced to work on days you had off. It not only stresses the fire fighter it stresses the family!!!!!!!!! You have no clue. They need to play games on their down time to have comradery to get their minds right after these calls. To destress somehow. You know nothing of what they go thru. They are truly my heros. I only knew this after marrying one. Firefighting without fires to fight takes a huge toll on them!!!!
