    People that bitch about the Recaro seats do not own the car or have not owned it long. Once you get them adjusted to the way you like it, they are both comfortable and supportive around turns.

    • @RTAMOTORSPORTS
      @RTAMOTORSPORTS  9 років тому +1

      Ken Masters EXACTLY! And just so people know I brought it up not as a "look what I have" it so people who are really on the fence about the option can get an honest opinion, because the reviews were really not thorough when it came to seat comfort. Thanks Ken!

    I never get anyone wanting to mess around on the streets. I always get "hey, I like that Lac" when at the gas station right before they say, "hey, you got any change to spare." Bitch I'm broke from paying for the gas in this monster.

    My CTS-V is exactly the same as yours but manual and no suede steering wheel option. I agree with you pretty much 100%. I personally enjoy the stock quiet exhaust as it as you said helps with the sleeper appeal. If you are going to do anything to the exhaust, do as you said the headers into the stock exhaust. I know people that went with the Corsa exhaust in the back and regret it. You are driving a Cadillac not a 69 Nova. Me personally I am just going to get some electronic cutouts. Also must have mods are pulleys, and air raid CAI. That makes the supercharger sound awesome and gives you 650hp.
    Just do me a favor and get some touch up paint and fix that wheel you had a close-up on at the beginning. It hurts to see a curbed wheel!

    • @RTAMOTORSPORTS
      @RTAMOTORSPORTS  9 років тому +4

      Ken Masters I honestly didnt notice the wheel, I just ran out to look at it.......sigh.... haha!
      Its not damaged at least its just some paint gone, oddly not a scratch lol. weird. but gooood eye! (I am ordering my cutouts this or next week ;) ) And just got the airaid cai on haha! now for pulley I have to do research since I think I would then need a tune? thanks again bud!

      Lol Sleeper.... Everytime I look at a CTSV my beard grows 2 inches. That car is soooo easy to pick out the second you look at the brakes. ISF is pretty sleeper until you see the brakes. I think out of all the super sedans of those years the CTSV certainly isn't a car you can miss.

    • @sw-fd4ty
      @sw-fd4ty 4 роки тому +1

      @@RTAMOTORSPORTS I've had several mods on my 2014 CTSV-Coupe including a tune, but 1 thing that was missing was the sound. I had all this power but it sounded like a family car, problem solved as you stated above you were going to do. Electronic cutouts were the answer. I've got a button on the side of my drivers seat that gives me 5 sound options depending on how long I hold the button down. I can sound completely stock or I can open up the exhaust and the sound comes alive...lol...glad I've gotten the cutouts. I've owned my CTSV-Coupe for a little over 3-years, the only problem I've had which is major was a broken rear passenger side axil which fortunately was under warranty. The dealer told me 1 bolt was missing from the axil housing, he felt like it was left off from the factory. The housing had 2 bolts 1 missing and the other bolt backed out allowing the the bearing boot to crack slinging all the grease out leading to bearing failure. Since then I've had no problem's and love my car. I only hope the cars value holds up. Good video and thanks for putting it out.

  • @NeilKudro
    @NeilKudro 6 років тому

    Thanks for the video. I just bought my 06 STS V black on black. I nevwr owned a Caddilac before. This is my first. Honestly, I agree with about people and it being a sleeper. The previous owner had it tunned and a few mods and it is in the high 500s close to 600HP.
    I love it and I do get lots of attention. Most people are shocked because they never k ew about the V model. Especially when you pull next to a guy driving a regular V6 STS or CTS he would be almost embarrassed to even look you. And if they smdo look at your car they will try but avoid eye contact. You. Can tell the driver is telling himself "I should have bought the REAL V model".
    Aside, the performance and over all appearance is I toxicating. Now I am looking forward to drive more
    And take my V every where

    Really wanted a 2nd gen black cts-v sedan in automatic, however, the reliability factors are what kept me away from getting one. Ended getting a 2009 Lexus ISF instead.

      Honestly never had a serious issue in the years I had that car, and the group of friends I have that still owns theirs have no issues either. Gotta day the ISF is a gorgeous car though. I have a coworker that just sold his out of state and misses it already lol.

    I'm in the market for a V2 and this was a very informative video. After seeing a couple of your videos and the comments from other V owners cut-outs will be added. I wanted to know if driving a V2 as my daily was crazy or doable. After this video? Daily for sure. Thanks for posting!

      @@RTAMOTORSPORTS Thanks for the response. I drive a lightly tuned 09 Accord V6 sedan which is definitely faster than people think but I'm always left wanting more. @@docsike I had the same mods minus the PCDs. The car is fine but I really want something fast. I think the reason I got the honda in the first place is bc I needed a cheap, reliable, peppy car. But I need something way more exciting so I'm planning on getting this car when the time comes.

    if your looking for an aggressive sound but still want it quiet for long trips you need to look into the QTP cut outs. I've got them on my wagon and love them. Yeah some of the CTS-V guys I know have been texting back and fourth about it. They are meeting up at treasure island and driving down there. unfortunately I'm heading to LA with the wife and kid for the weekend. Its sounding like it will be a good turn out. You got any other mods? or taken it to the track yet? I've only been able to hit up sac raceway once and only got in 3 runs. So far I only have the QTP cut outs an air raid intake and weapon X track attack HX. I'm waiting on picking up some injectors so I can get my 2.45 pulley and flex kit put on and tuned.

      Sold the car back in 2019 but I still see it time to time, I personally only had to replace the supercharger snout bearing. Was easy to do as I started hearing the rattle noise. Then shortly after caddy issued the supercharger recall to officially deal with that issue.
