Despite price, might be good for campers, because of its weight.
Very good point, I didn't think about RV's etc, it would be much easier to pack and would be perfect for scooting around campgrounds etc. Wish I had thought of that I would have mentioned it.
For the price of this, you can buy 2 Lectric Lites and still have money left over. Plus it's a better bike in just about everything.
There's also some generic bike on Amazon. 46lbs $449. For what u get on this bike there is beauty you better options.
The saddle is actually bolted the wrong way around onto seatpost/battery. The seatpost/battery should be flipped around (so that the insertion scale is facing towards the rear wheel) and the saddle should be flipped around as well. There are plenty of pictures online that show them installed the right way around.
My son is looking for a small ebike to put in the back of airplane. This might be good. Lightweight is super important. But having to take it to a bike shop and checked out is ridiculous and it should be packaged better.
Yep. This bike has its place among a few, but the price needs to be much better.

The Lectric XP lite has nothing to worry about with this toy. That cable seems to have been added to it only some fat tester cracked the frame in half as he rode it. $2,000 is wayyyy too high.
The reviewer made it pretty clear in the video that this Dahon isn't meant to compete with fat-tire bikes of the Lectric's ilk.
The dahon is a better bike than the lectric xp lite which is a great ebike but somewhat of a turd for a bicycle
Good review. It is insane that they want $2000 for that bike and also expect the buyer to incur the additional cost of having it inspected and adjusted at a bike shop just to activate the warranty. Heck, I didn't pay $2000 for my Ranger S and it has a lot more features than that bike. Also the total lack of packing in the box it was shipped in kind of shows that the company doesn't care.

Hey, LOL I was the first to 'LIKE' this video lol. This e-bike is like the mini-e-bike I have for my small stuffed bear. I would not buy it as they are made cheaply, the materials, not the price. I also prefer a throttle, class 2 with cadence. This e-bike would be a great starter e-bike for teenagers if the price was decent, but you said something like 2000, that's ridiculous. Thanks for this review 😎
Is there a possibility that the seat post is upside down and they put the seat on the wrong side? Also Richard very well done with the review video, I’m sure it was a challenging one to do.
No, its a battery and it only goes one way. Yes, it was a bit of a challenge because we have a responsibility to get our opinions right. So I wanted to give credit for the bike for howe it was designed. Thanks!

Great review rite here. Honesty is what we want. As experienced E-bike riders we can see that this is an entry level Ebike because of its compact size & will be perfect for camping or riding around the block. For the shocking $2k price point, I’d run away. There’s Better Entry level bikes a lot cheaper yet still compact for storage & camping.Jetson Bolt Pro,Jetson Haze are awesome entry level E-bikes. These compact bikes are nothing compared to the E-bikes we ride.
For someone who commutes on public transportation, it would be fine as in getting to from bus/train stops. The screen is better than some like bikes. Some don't have speed at all. The motor again for the purpose of a basic commute bike is fine. In the UK this bike would be great if you want to be legal.
If all of this came at a price point between $800-1000 this would be just fine. At $2000 it's so overpriced that I can't see them selling many bikes at all. I could find something at a better price here in Australia and that says way more than most of you know. I paid $3025 for my dual motor full suspension with two 30ah batteries (around $2000 US I think it was). If the manufacturer sees this please compare your bike to others in its price range and adjust accordingly. You will make more money off a reasonable priced bike than having to store over priced bikes.

I have seen other e bikes with the battery in that position, so it's common, you just hope it doesn't start a fire as you ride it, that would give a whole new definition to 'hot pants".

Id say this bike is worth $1k to 1500. Decent bike batteries cost 400 bucks, not luch room for the bike. That said this jasbren replaced by the e20 which addreses some of the issues woth the k one. Thats 2300 which is a bit high though its a middrive. The deltech cabke adds 70 lbs to the max rider weight for the american market

It’s not what this bike doesn’t have, it’s the price! If it was going for 500 I would understand and say it’s a good bike for someone that can’t afford a better bike and that’s ok…it’s just a big no

Definitely too much $$, There's tons of EBikes under $1000 that are just as good or better that are from more established companies with a warranty....

Horrible biased review. You didn't even fold it. That's the bikes major feature. How small and compact it folds. Dahon knows what they're doing in this category bike. You didn't even recognize that one . I almost can't believe this review.
$2000. Not biased. Facts!!!! Nobody gonna buy this.
