    2.1 is a better case than 3.0 IMO. I'm so happy that this rare occasion of something I own has a new revision that is worse than the one I own.

      Thanks for the response. What makes v2.1 better? Just curious.

    • @pets4489
      @pets4489 Рік тому +4

      @L91 Appearance wise, 2.1 is sleek and clean looking. The shiny front panel edge looks premium. The new black coating looks like bed liner paint imo.
      Also 3.0 white text on the rear looks bad, especially upside in the "correct" orientation.
      LED pushbutton is awesome for boards without any leds on them letting you know it is on.
      And 2.1 is technically smaller, so can't beat that. If 3.0 was smaller I'd really consider an upgrade.
      Also velka 3 is my dream case btw. Can't go wr9ng with the 3.0 either!

    Thanks for video, you are one of the best channels on UA-cam covering SFF builds!
    As for Velka 3 - it is great case but kind of "suboptimal" for powerful gaming builds.
    One of my recent build was with modded RTX A4000 in case by Custom Mod - way better on both perfomance and temps, albeit slightly larger.

    Any fitment issues with the modular psu? I really want to go for that psu since the only cables I’d be using would be the motherboard and cpu cables. I have the rtx 4000 sff so it’s pcie powered and I want to keep the cable managing as simple and clean as possible and the one provided by velka isn’t modular so I’ll be having cables that I won’t be using and taking up space.
    Edit: I’m currently in a formd t1 v2.0 and I have their light blue gen 4 riser cable. Do you think their riser cable will fit in this case? If you can, would you please test if the riser cable is doable in this case? I don’t have the velka 3 to do any testing so I’m just wondering. The case and psu is gonna cost quite a bit and I just want to save some cash.

    Wouldnt it be better to downgrade the cpu to a 5800x3d or 7600 because of the heat? with lower heat and power consumption you can also replace psu fan. I did a similar build and used a silverstone 600w flex psu but the noise was pretty loud

    • @L91
      @L91  Рік тому +1

      I did mention that the system is best paired with R5 7600 or similar. Unfortunately, I don't have one. It's worth noting that the R5 7600 doesn't run cooler or draw any less power than 7800X3D. It's just better pairing value wise. The system shown is pretty quiet thanks to custom fan parameters.

    • @L91

      @videosuu300 PSU fan is quieter than the rest of the system. It's only drawing around 200W and isn't heating up enough during gaming for the fan to need to ramp past wattage parameters. The ENP-7660B is relatively quiet PSU upto around 480W, unless the PSU is heating up to much, at which point it can become extremely loud at any wattage. SilverStone FX600 works exactly the same.
