You should check out Ephemeral Rift. His ASMR is more experimental than delicately crafted, which has its appeal. The characters he play as are insane and unique. But there's not doubt this ASMR channel is outstanding

The lighting must have taken a lot of thought and work to get just right and she knocked it out of the park, also the filters chosen in editing are really perfect

@@prairiedweller8917 yes it does fell like it came out of the period, and this is the kind of asmr and asthetic I like, its situational, the sounds are not just someone lipsmacking, or clicking with super long nails or making slurp sounds, or going over plates with their nails that makes me want to rampage, gives me misinphonia and is torture to my ears, usually, I can listen to stuff in the shop, or blacksmithing and fileing, and I can put up with and love the sound from say dance, but most I can not deal with only white noise or situational asmr like this
There should be an ASMR annual awards show where creators are recognized for exemplary work. This one’s a WINNER! 🏆

I'm never one who says stuff like "this is like a movie" or "if there was an Oscar for best asmr this should win", but this is the one that finally made me think Diane could totally sneak in the professional acting scene and make everyone believe it.
This should be sent to the Oscars next year for Best Short Film or something. Someone please consider this!
Stop with the Netflix talk, Netflix and these other platforms only ruined every promising artist... Diane is exactly where she belongs for now. And if anything, she would need the funds to make her own movie, directed and produced by herself... Not 3rd parties. Too many cooks ruin the dishes.

The problem with this channel's asmrs is that they are soooo good I want to SLEEP halfway through, but they are SO GOOD I don't WANT to sleep halfway through !
The pacing in your work is better than a lot of full scale movies. You always spend just long enough with each trigger, without letting it get stale.
Not even 4 min into this and im already in LOVE with this character! So sassy and brazenly self-assured, i adore her! Of course the 'ol boys grudgingly turn to her for help ;)

Treating ASMR as art is totally amazing and I'm totally here for it. I've been a big fan of Matt (Articulate Design ASMR) for years and you both hit this out of the park! It was an absolutely wonderful video! I think I like this even more than Goodnight Moon's ASMR videos to a degree.
The fact this is all black and white took me back in time! I really love how you pulled this off!
Just astounding. Very few ASMR artists put this much thought, time and effort into their videos. To acquire period correct props, research clothing and hairstyles, researching the time period must take up an enormous amount of time and effort. Obviously Diane is striving to bring us the best quality, cinematic and outstanding videos she can. The effort is plain to see here. At least we all can give her a thumbs up, right? This channel is very special and is in a class by itself. Best of everything Diane and we all hope you are feeling back to normal. You and your channel are a treasure in a world that is upside down.

I follow a few asmr channels with their own styles and such but none compare to this. im always blown away by how cinematic, intriguing and engaging you make each video. its like you feel teleported into the world you've created and its so cool! i think this is my first experience being so relaxed and yet so nervous because the plot was so engaging. had me on the edge of my seat!!!
Can't wait for the sequel to this masterpiece! Plot, pacing, editing, filmwork all perfect, as usual, but it is your direction which stands out in this one: the look you throw the camera at 11.40, and pausing with the glass almost to your lips at 23.59. Those are just *chef's kiss* perfection.

May I suggest if you do a follow up it might include typing on an old typewriter if you can get one cheaply. Also the dialing of a rotary phone is an excellent noise! Please include that sound if you make a sequel.

I have now watched this incredible short film so many times that I can basically recite it word for word! 😂 But in all seriousness, this is truly extraordinary Diane. Some of your very best work. I have had a lifelong love affair with film noir, and you capture the genre perfectly in this film: the jazzy sax solo at the start, paired with that iconic silhouette of you lighting up a cigarette, the stacks of newspapers and criminal files everywhere, the momentary shot of the handgun hidden in the desk drawer, the crystal decanter filled with booze etc. The script is perfection, and the smart and witty repartee between Blanche and Jacob is bristling with a wonderfully understated sexual tension. But the most perfect and perhaps most important thing that you capture in this short film is demonstrated in your incredible cinematography. You are constantly exploring the interplay of light and shadow: black and white and every imaginable shade of grey. It is quite beautiful Diane, and it is such a powerful testament to your gifts as a film maker. And just one last thought: Every single time you “try something different” or “try something new” or create something “experimental,” the results are always spectacular. ❤
PS. And this is by far the best “noir” and “blanche” film that I have seen in ages! 😂

It being ASMR is almost secondary except it's also perfection, this is relaxing and enthralling and intriguing and tingling AT THE SAME TIME. Incredible.

Whoa, this is well produced. Blows my mind how some people go above and beyond, when in principle, ASMR need not take too much effort to produce at all. I mean you could legitimately make a full ASMR movie at this rate (it's already effectively an ASMR short film). Side note: I'm surprised nobody's actually done that yet, setting aside Gibi's Bee Movie recreation lol. Of course it's no small feat, but ASMR's been around for a real long time, I'd've expected a feature length film to be inevitable (obviously as a megacollab and not solo, nobody's that crazy).

This video is a perfect example on why the atmosphere you create oftentimes matters more than what the actors are actually saying. We know literally nothing of this situation or these characters, and yet we're hooked. Meanwhile, multi-million dollars movies and series fail to engage people on the same level because they're so busy having the characters quip at each other and breaking the tension of their scenes with dumb jokes "à la Marvel" that their atmosphere dies.
This ASMR RP is beyond what movies and films now a days can hope to achieve. Throughout the soft spoken conversations and the deep attention to details of object, it really is satisfying. I really want to know what happens next!!
