- Today I’ll be showing you how to hang up your license plate in your front windshield, so you don’t have to drill permanent holes in your front bumper! Aesthetically looks much more pleasing and enhances aerodynamics minimally!

Great, crystal clear instructions! Thank you! This will be my first time doing this but it’s for my rear window because the holes in the the rear frame don’t fit any of the screws. I have bought so many pairs, all different sizes. The slots are just too large, so I was thinking of other ways to display my license plate. There’s already one on the front but I’m in NJ. The state requires that I display on both sides.

In CA, ive never been pulled over for it, BUT I have had Patrols flash their spotlight on my plate. Even so, ive never gotten pulled over or a ticket for it.
This is legally the same as not having it all together. The only benefit is that you’re not gonna get pulled over as much. However, if the cop is a stickler you’re getting a ticket still.
Haha I am thinking of getting a 440i on Friday and I was wondering about the front plate. First thing you said is how to put it on your BMW. It’s like you just knew 😂

That is a very good idea! Thanks for sharing. I don't know if it's legal. According to the law, the plates have to be on the outside front and back of the car and no more than 60 inches above the ground.

In my area, never! I got stopped one time on a road trip but just given a warning. Most officers in Texas don’t really care as long as it’s readable and not hidden to the point where they can’t read it

Those aren’t a bad idea but a lot of people think there’s shady context to the “sto n show” plate. The suction cups are great, cheap, shows the whole plate and no rattle!

Been good! Been on a few road trips and had this on my car for the last 3-4 years and only ever been talked to one time on the road trip. DFW doesn’t care! haha
@@IzzyE9X I’ve heard from others that showing the LP like this would make me more of a target for cops but if it’s been working for you I’ll give it a shot
yesssir, my cars pretty loud and I drive… “spirited” and I’ve never been hassled. really cops just use it as a secondary reason to stop you because the driver did something suspicious so the license plate is “reasonable cause”. If you’re not reckless, most don’t care

this is freakin awesome!!! the solution to a front-plate-stupid-rule,BUT WITHOUT ruining your ride's appearance! ive read some questioning posts,look the 'cops/law' can stop me,you,whomever for NO reason and make up something stupid if they really want too,but with this the plate IS CLEARLY visable in the 'front' until they pass a law in writing saying-so,my take on it,it;s all legal as long as the plate is visable clearly in the 'front' of the vehicle...im not a lawyer,but to me this is a dont ask,dont tell choice;kindof like asking the 'cops' if it's leagl if you can grill outisde at say 2am or past a curfue given(sounds stupid right?) esp on your own property,well again... dont ask/dont tell because most likely you will be told otherwise if you 'ask'=just my take on this..hey,awesome idea,awesome video!
The law states that it must be affixed to your bumper, not only that it has to be visible. This is technically still illegal.

Depends on your state. Texas is very indifferent and as long as none of the numbers or letters are covered, they tend not to care. However if you are driving reckless, it’s a reason they could technically pull you over. I’ve never been stopped in my area for it, only when road tripping and it was a verbal warning

States "allowing it" doesn't make it legal. This still gives the cops an excuse to pull you over. Specially if driving a "fast looking" car. Best to install those under the bumper bracket holders.
That's how you get decapitated in a bad accident! I suggest putting rubber around the plate.

I’ve had mine this way for about 3 years and never had anybody question it, but it’s definitely a do at your own risk type of deal. Most bigger cities won’t implement stopping you, but some could say it’s obstructed. I however do not want to drill my bumper! Haha.
@@IzzyE9X The guy I bought my mustang from didn't even have his license in the front, he told me that he never ever got pulled over. The same as with me, I have passed tons of cops and never once have I ever been stopped by the police.
But again, it is a do at your own risk type of thing. That is why I want to at least put it in the front dash. Just be nice to police, if they really really want to, they get give you a ticket for this, but it is extremely unlikely. If you are an unlikable person, or hard to work with, you probably don't want to do this.

This is illegal. Your license plates must be attached to the front & back of the vehicle in most states otherwise you can still be ticketed.

All viewers are disclaimed in the video and in the description down below. A 12 inch by 6 inch license plate will not obstruct anybody’s view enough to be a safety hazard and even if so, they should not be driving in the first place if their coordination is that bad lol
