That's awesome that you found Liliac. I haven't been excited about an American rock band in years. It's so fun to see them improve with each release and Melody is a straight up rock star with elements of many rock singer legends. The fact that they are a family band makes them all the more special. I grew up on 70's/80's rock so they just make me happy.

Liliac is already at the top of the talent chart musically with a lot more to go. So young but so damn good. These kids would already be a household name back in the day. But for now they are one a number of new great young talent bringing great old school music to this generation. And all us baby boomers have come back and are paying attention to music again. Many of us gave up on it, but with kids like this how can we now. Btw, Abigail is a phenomenal drummer. Her fun going personality is what most love about her, but her abilities (though not fully shown her because of the song) is very advanced. "Master of Puppets" show just how great she is. All of them are great musicians including Melody who used to play bass and has said she teaches Ethan many of the bass lines. Ethan used to play guitar and was just coming into his own in "The Trooper" (give it a look one day to see how good the 11 or12 year old was at the time). BUT despite her being one of my fave female vocalists, Melody is now my favorite only because she has taken Janis and Lzzy and Heart, etc and taken it to a whole new level. Excellent reaction! I discovered Liliac when they opened for Loverboy at a concert I attended in 2019. I was like "these kids are the real deal". Melody is the love child of Ronnie James Dio (her biggest singing influence) and Janis Joplin. She is the best female rock vocalist in the last 30 years. Definitely Mars live in Cumming, GA should be on your queue of songs to react to (Sam's guitar solo will blow your mind). I also really like their originals Nothing, Sail Away, and Chain of Thorns. Liliac is pronounced LIL-EE-ACK. Their master of puppets cover features the keyboard more prominently. Their original, Nothing, I think is their masterpiece but in truth everything they touch turns to gold. Their original, We Are The Children, is also quite epic.

The music video of enter sandman by Metallica went viral and that was when they really started to pop off. They are an amazing band with a lot of amazing songs. Liliac in their Romanian means (vampire) bat. They are decendents of Romanian parents and their dad is the audio engineer and their video editor for all of their music videos

She kicked him off the rythem guitar when she discovered Ronnie James Dio at age 15. She said She sat him down and taught him all the baselines to all their songs. That way she could be free to physically Express herself in her singing like Ronnie James Dio. Best move She ever made for both of them. Ethen now is my favorite. He plays lead, rythem, base and mandolin guitars.

This band does everything in the house from recording their own videos and Sam the guitar player edits the videos and Abigail is the graphic artist in the group does the artwork for the album covers and the merchandise their dad is a music producer records and mixes the band so anything you see from recorded Music to videos it’s a family Affair. They are an independent band They have had offers from labels but have declined they want to remain independent so they have creative freedom

They did an original during quarantine in there home it is called NOTHING and there is a live original called MARS. Nice, Liliac has a new fang. I had the pleasure of seeing them live in St. Louis, these kids sound just as good live and the kids are sweet, fame hasnt gotten to them, they are very laidback. The way to say their name is Lily-ac. they do piece of my heart better than Joplin and faith hill, somebody to love by Starship. Their version of crazy train, the trooper and enter sandman is phenominal and you should really check them out. i just cant say enough good about them. I also had the chance to talk with their father at length and i have to say he is pretty cool. If you get the chance to go to 1 of their concerts you will not regret it.
Check out their beginnings, they first performed as the Cristeas it was just Melody, Sam and Abby. Melody does a Rihanna cover at 11yrs.old that is amazing. Or check out their early days at the Santa Monica pier .

BTW, these talented young people are not Lilac, they are Liliac(Lil-ee-ack), which is a Romanian word that means "bat" according to the group's Romanian father and GOOGLE. Their mother is also Romanian and the two met here in the U.S. You should check out their Instagram and UA-cam to learn more about their history(see what I did there). These kids are amazing talents and I hope they continue well after I am gone. I have yet to hear one of their songs or covers that I don't greatly enjoy and I feel you'll have a similar experience, young fellow...
@@HistoryBuff I have to add that not only did I agree with what you said about Joan Jett's version, I think Joan could take a few pointers from Melody on her vocals. I owned Joan's LP and a 45 of this song before I got it on cassette and eventually a digital copy. I have always been a huge Joan Jett fan and I prefer Liliac's version of this song. I'd honestly buy a CD of Liliac covering a lot of Joan's stuff. I strongly believe that with the examples of what they have already covered, combined with their originals, they have shown a great ability to recapture or possibly reinvent the feel of that era. I have yet to hear a song I don't love from them and I am betting when the younger two get a few more years under their belts, they'll be adding a lot more, as I already see them loving what they do...
I’ve followed this band when it was just 3 of them. Melody, the singer used to play the bass. Her one brother played rhythm guitar now bass. Listen to “Crazy Train” recorded on Santa Monica pier.
I think I like Liliac's covers better than the originals. The drummer goes all out and the singer brings a newness to the songs. The guitarist is exceptional with some well-laid leads. The rhythm section tie the whole thing together. They all are getting better and better each time they do a new song
As for original music by Liliac, Sail Away is about the best, musically, that shows off each member of the bands talent. But, there is NOT a bad song that they cover or original song that they have in their repertoire. I will be attending a concert in the near future. May I suggest the same for you?!?
If you want to see and hear the keyboards more, you should watch Rainbow in the Dark, where you can actually see Justin (the youngest member of the group) playing close up at times.
Not sure this has been mentioned but lead Vocalist is an awesome bassist as well on many songs in the begging for quite a while. Doing both roles and doing them well is a great feat.

Yeah, I joined your channel because you did a reaction to my favorite singer, Angelina Jordan. Today while listening to your second reaction, I saw this. Imagine my surprise when I saw you were reacting to my second favorite new group. I discovered them about 3 years ago when I came across a video of them doing "Crazy Train" on the Santa Monica Pier, (they are from California and just recently moved to Georgia) and then I saw their cover of Meatllica's "Enter Sandman" and I was hooked. They now have 2 albums of originals, and a couple of favorites of mine are "Mars" and "Sail Away". Their ages now are 13 (Justin-keyboards) up to 22 (Samuel-lead guitar) Abigail (Abi) 21 on drums, Melody 18 vocals (she started with Bass guitar) and Ethan 14 who started with rhythm guitar and now plays Bass. They have their own Production Company run by their Dad who was a producer before they started getting better known. Liliac (Lil lee ack) is supposed to be Romanian for 'bat'. Their parents were from Romania and met in California while going to college. Now if you just mix in "sina-drums", who is a 22 year old German, female drummer that has been posting on UA-cam since she was 14, and collaborates with new young talent, I'll be happy as a pig in poop. (link to sina-drums collaborations) Oh, she did a cover of Deep Purple's "Burn" at 17, and Ian Paice, the Drummer for Deep Purple did a reaction, and at the end (after a few comments) said, "Who am I kidding. BTW Ethan plays an impressive 5 string bass and used to do a mean rhythm guitar until Melody stopped the bass to concentrate on her vocals. Sam kills me with his EVH style!! He's going to pass many players that came before. Abby slams the skins with the best! She is even better than my friend Athena Lee, Tommy Lee's sister. Boy I hope she doesn't see this. ha
So young and so talented. Melody, the vocalist, reminds me a little of Joan Jett but more of Janis Joplin and especially she reminds me of Dio. The drummer is really good and she's a good contrast to her little sister; while Melody is all attitude and grit, Abigail is smiling and peeking and having a good time. The guitarist is just awesome and he looks like a freakiy rockstar. The two kids are pretty good too already despite being so young. This band has a great future ahead of them.

The music video of enter sandman by Metallica went viral and that was when they really started to pop off. They are an amazing band with a lot of amazing songs. Liliac in their Romanian means (vampire) bat. They are decendents of Romanian parents and their dad is the audio engineer and their video editor for all of their music videos
You ain't seen nothing yet. Liliac, pronounced, lily-ack, are a family of truly humble and polite young people. This video, and reaction was alot of fun. If you stick with doing more reactions to liliac, you will get to enjoy some amazing talent.

The lead singer, Melody, actually taught her brother to play bass. That's such a cool fact. 🤘🤘❤
She kicked him off the rythem guitar when she discovered Ronnie James Dio at age 15. She said She sat him down and taught him all the baselines to all their songs. That way she could be free to physically Express herself in her singing like Ronnie James Dio. Best move She ever made for both of them. Ethen now is my favorite. He plays lead, rythem, base and mandolin guitars.
You should hear Crazy Train , Nothing, Crazy Nights, Mars with Sam's solo , Master of Puppets, Sail Away is their Ballad , Holy Diver! The bands name is pronounced LiL- Le- Ac it means Bats in Romania thats where their parents are from . Melody is lead singer, Sam, Lead Guitar, Abigail is on the drums , Eathan is on bass and rhythm bass, Justin is Keyboard and Piano. Their dad is a music producer, director, manager and their driver ..lol 😆 He also has his own music video too when he was younger .

This band does everything in the house from recording their own videos and Sam the guitar player edits the videos and Abigail is the graphic artist in the group does the artwork for the album covers and the merchandise their dad is a music producer records and mixes the band so anything you see from recorded Music to videos it’s a family Affair. They are an independent band They have had offers from labels but have declined they want to remain independent so they have creative freedom

They did an original during quarantine in there home it is called NOTHING and there is a live original called MARS. You can check out one of those or just pick one I haven't found one that I don't love. But again thank you for reacting to them.

Melody's voice has been described as a cross between Dio and Janis Joplin. btw they did a cover of a piece of my heart.
Nice, Liliac has a new fang. I had the pleasure of seeing them live in St. Louis, these kids sound just as good live and the kids are sweet, fame hasnt gotten to them, they are very laidback. The way to say their name is Lily-ac. they do piece of my heart better than Joplin and faith hill, somebody to love by Starship. Their version of crazy train, the trooper and enter sandman is phenominal and you should really check them out. i just cant say enough good about them. I also had the chance to talk with their father at length and i have to say he is pretty cool. If you get the chance to go to 1 of their concerts you will not regret it.
Check out their beginnings, they first performed as the Cristeas it was just Melody, Sam and Abby. Melody does a Rihanna cover at 11yrs.old that is amazing. Or check out their early days at the Santa Monica pier .

BTW, these talented young people are not Lilac, they are Liliac(Lil-ee-ack), which is a Romanian word that means "bat" according to the group's Romanian father and GOOGLE. Their mother is also Romanian and the two met here in the U.S. You should check out their Instagram and UA-cam to learn more about their history(see what I did there). These kids are amazing talents and I hope they continue well after I am gone. I have yet to hear one of their songs or covers that I don't greatly enjoy and I feel you'll have a similar experience, young fellow...

@@HistoryBuff I have to add that not only did I agree with what you said about Joan Jett's version, I think Joan could take a few pointers from Melody on her vocals. I owned Joan's LP and a 45 of this song before I got it on cassette and eventually a digital copy. I have always been a huge Joan Jett fan and I prefer Liliac's version of this song. I'd honestly buy a CD of Liliac covering a lot of Joan's stuff. I strongly believe that with the examples of what they have already covered, combined with their originals, they have shown a great ability to recapture or possibly reinvent the feel of that era. I have yet to hear a song I don't love from them and I am betting when the younger two get a few more years under their belts, they'll be adding a lot more, as I already see them loving what they do...
Liliac now has two albums of their own, all fantastic! Try "Nothing" you will not regret it.

Yes, you're right, Abby is not only a great drummer, she's adorable.
I think I like Liliac's covers better than the originals. The drummer goes all out and the singer brings a newness to the songs. The guitarist is exceptional with some well-laid leads. The rhythm section tie the whole thing together. They all are getting better and better each time they do a new song
As for original music by Liliac, Sail Away is about the best, musically, that shows off each member of the bands talent. But, there is NOT a bad song that they cover or original song that they have in their repertoire. I will be attending a concert in the near future. May I suggest the same for you?!?

Yeah, I joined your channel because you did a reaction to my favorite singer, Angelina Jordan. Today while listening to your second reaction, I saw this. Imagine my surprise when I saw you were reacting to my second favorite new group. I discovered them about 3 years ago when I came across a video of them doing "Crazy Train" on the Santa Monica Pier, (they are from California and just recently moved to Georgia) and then I saw their cover of Meatllica's "Enter Sandman" and I was hooked.
They now have 2 albums of originals, and a couple of favorites of mine are "Mars" and "Sail Away". Their ages now are 13 (Justin-keyboards) up to 22 (Samuel-lead guitar) Abigail (Abi) 21 on drums, Melody 18 vocals (she started with Bass guitar) and Ethan 14 who started with rhythm guitar and now plays Bass. They have their own Production Company run by their Dad who was a producer before they started getting better known. Liliac (Lil lee ack) is supposed to be Romanian for 'bat'. Their parents were from Romania and met in California while going to college. Now if you just mix in "sina-drums", who is a 22 year old German, female drummer that has been posting on UA-cam since she was 14, and collaborates with new young talent, I'll be happy as a pig in poop. (link to sina-drums collaborations) Oh, she did a cover of Deep Purple's "Burn" at 17, and Ian Paice, the Drummer for Deep Purple did a reaction, and at the end (after a few comments) said, "Who am I kidding. I could never have done that at 17." I love your reactions, keep up the great work.

I hate hate hate this song AND Joan Jett, so I ignored this song for a minute. The only one of theirs by the way that I've done that to. Then today I gave in and boy if Liliac had done this first, I never would have hated it. Thank you Melody and Cristea Fam! I would love to see more Reactions to their originals like Mystery and the audio We Fight, We Fall. You won't regret it. But their covers are phenomenal as well. They're all great kids and I wish more of the youth were like them. Instead of burning cities, rock them instead! ha

BTW Ethan plays an impressive 5 string bass and used to do a mean rhythm guitar until Melody stopped the bass to concentrate on her vocals. Sam kills me with his EVH style!! He's going to pass many players that came before. Abby slams the skins with the best! She is even better than my friend Athena Lee, Tommy Lee's sister. Boy I hope she doesn't see this. ha

So young and so talented. Melody, the vocalist, reminds me a little of Joan Jett but more of Janis Joplin and especially she reminds me of Dio. The drummer is really good and she's a good contrast to her little sister; while Melody is all attitude and grit, Abigail is smiling and peeking and having a good time. The guitarist is just awesome and he looks like a freakiy rockstar. The two kids are pretty good too already despite being so young. This band has a great future ahead of them.
