Roboute Guilliman. Guilliman the tactician. Guilliman the warrior. History will remember the Primarch of the Ultramarines by many titles. To us of the Blood he will have only one - Guilliman the butcher. With law and edict, Guilliman ripped the heart from the Legions. Even his own sons were not spared his treachery. Where Horus had sought to use a hammer blow, Guilliman used a duellist's blade. In the end, the result was the same. Brother became cousin. Cousin became exile. Guilliman's new chapter, his new beginning, was a sundering to all that had come before. Stripped of honour and tithe, of history and deed, we were all of us undone. Bastards of war and victory, we were Angels no more.NASSIR AMIT, CHAPTER MASTER OF THE NEWLY CREATED FLESH TEARERS CHAPTER, LAMENTING THE SUNDERING OF THE LEGIONES ASTARTES.
Who says Our father is dead ? He but sleeps to heal his wounds. He sleeps and he suffers, oh how he suffers! The betrayal of cursed lupercal has pierced his noble heart like a blade. 10 millennia and more from the day , he still rages against the traitor. we hear him scream in our minds. So loud ,so pained are his screams ,we seek death in battle because we cannot share his anguish. We, his sons, are so much lesser, we cannot hear our father weep and remain sane. The blood thirst? The Blood is the life. Imagine the terror, the horror, in an enemy ,seeing us doff our helms to imbibe. No mortal can watch us quench our thirst not with water ,but with their blood and stand against us. Khornes dog hounds our steps , and ... you think us so weak as to fall? We will deal with the warp hound in out own time,in our own way. Mark us on this, the galaxy will shudder when we rend the blood thirster's hound to pieces. We are Blood Angels, we know Khorne as no one else. His blandishments hold no power over us.
Favorite theory. Sanguinius succumbed to the black rage to defeat Horis and it was him that destroyed the arch traitor. The Emperor arrived to find Sanguinius a mindless savage beast. He tries to capture him but sustains such wounds that in the end he is forced to cast aside his feelings and strike down his own beloved son. History is rewritten to "accepted canon".
Thats something that could actually happened, the inquisitoon and eclesiarch are the one who say the story and hide everything from light, the one that would say the true without fear are the custodes
@@mpcrauzer It explains the emperor's spirit in the warp, why the emperor was so injured and possibly the Black Rage, caused by Sanguinius embracing the savagery more than just his death. Also it feels like a grimdark 40k twist.
I want to believe that Sanguinius causes the black rage due to overwhelming anger for Horus's betrayal. He beat the hell out of Horus and The Emperor found him in the state. Sanguinius attack The Emperor but The Emperor tries to bring back Sanginius but unable to attack him because of his compassion and nobility. In the end, The Emperor has to kill Sanguinius because he is far gone. Beaten Horus just watch and he will tell the truth even in his death. The Emperor wont let the truth be know. Thus, destroying Horus's mind, body and soul.
9:43 Theory: Sanguinius won the battle in a black rage after Horus killed a soldier and then attacked the Emperor who was forced to kill him. The Emperor then destroyed Horus to keep what happened a secret. The Emperor’s injuries were from the fight with Sanguinius, not Horus.

Long must they have rained blows upon one another, until it seemed that the life of the universe itself hung in the balance...Yet, Sanguinius was bested...Even as the blade of death waited to strike him, Sanguinius would not turn from the path of Light. Thus it was that Sanguinius passed from this world. He who was everything a man should be was taken from us by the Darkness. Behold the God Emperor's angels of death, the Imperium's divine wrath given human form. None shall escape the crimson death that shall come for the enemies of the Imperium.
Been expecting another Space Marine Legion for some time. Can't wait to see the next Space Marine Legion to be featured.
me: are you guys friends?
lamenters: yes
blood angels and the rest of their successor chapters: no
nah man, the lamenters are chill with the other blood angels. They're family
@@Admiral.Snakbar even the other blood angel successor chapters think that the lamenters grieve sanguinius' death the most.
@@Admiral.Snakbar
Sucked they were to jacked up to even make it to Baal. Probably a good thing. Tons of chapters got completely wiped out with their luck they wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes. Lol
Dante guessed that the Lamentors at that point would have likely in the double digits of units(maybe even lower) at that point. They probably wouldn't have done much.
Lamenters 😢🏁❤️
Big E makes Astartes because thunder warriors are too unstable. At least half of the Astartes legions suffer from horrific mutations and genetic flaws anyway. MFW
Should give you an idea of how horribly flawed the Thunder Warriors were.
But the Flaws was granted by Khorne himself.
Thunder warriors were more unstable than the astartes.
To be fair Emps did made them with the power of the warp.
Well from all to half is already a huge improvement.
MFW no face
You guys should cover the salamanders chapter. Their story is one of the biggest flexes the space marines ever did
Truly a faithful retelling of the son of sanguinius (honored be his name above all but him on terra). You do us proud.
the Angels of the Emperor will lead the charge to destroy the dark gods!
Truly, the sons of Sanguinius are the greatest among the Adeptus Astartes!
As a blood angels player and fanboy, this is by far the best lore video ever made on them. Well done!
The Proud Sons of the Angel will continue to inspire those within the Imperium to fight against the enemies of mankind, and no doubt that their Primarch will be honored by his sons deeds.
"The 7th Legion?"
Didn't you mean to say that the Blood Angels are the
9th Legion Astartes.
The 7th is the other loyalist legion you previously covered: The Imperial Fists
oh thank the emperor i thought i was only one hearing that halfway through
Mistake in the script I'd reckon. They're correctly called the ninth legion several times earlier in the video.
Ah yes, mentions of several Blood Angel successors but as always, the Lamenters are overlooked...
Don't worry, they're use to such treatment.
Read in Baldermort´s Voice: *SONS OF SANGUINIUS!!! SONS OF THE ANGEL*
Its not fair to compare Baldemort to normal mortals his a legend
I'm just now getting into 40k. My favorite color is red. After learning about the Blood Angels..I've never been happier for it to be.
They are the chapter that got me into 40k as well, I was 13 at the time, I remember walking into the LGS and seeing their old codex, even without knowing their lore I knew I had an immediate favorite, a sea of red with an angelic golden heart that immediately caught my eye.
Would love to see the salamanders next!
I can not wait for the salimanders
That was a fantastic 20 minutes of detailed but digestible information on one of my favourite chapters, the mighty Blood Angel's. Great job.
Yes! Let’s go Sons of Sanguinius.
"an executioner's sword hung above them, waiting for the order to cast them down, an order given only twice before" - ah yes, Lost Primarchs and their Legions, a fate that "the Angel" would most definitely want to avoid.
I'd love to see an episode about the White Scars :)
For the Emperor! For Sanguinius!
This is very well done I'm a huge blood angels fan and really enjoyed the love and care that went into making this. I can't wait to see what you guys do for the night Lords.
And we must always remember the story told by Dorn on the Night Before Sanguinala celebrating the best Primarch Sanguiniu. For he was true hope for those who had none.
Long have I waited for this moment. For the Emperor and Sanguinius! DEATH! DEATH!
I think Sanguinius became an avatar of chaos during his confrontation against Horus. His rage was primordial and it echoed through the ages.
I’m humming the victory music from ‘Vengeance of the Blood Angels’. One of the best pieces of 90s PC game music.
The Blood Angels are the IX legion. Other then this unfortunate mistake; this was one of the best videos made.
This was extremely well put together you should do a series of all the 18 legions and the fate of their primarchs please !
I’m just feeling positively “SANGUINE”
This is what we subscribed for!!!
"Traditions which claim to be old are often quite modern and invented." -Eric Hobsbawm
Using religion to serve the nation state.
Literally left with chills at the narration at the end. I can't believe how incredibly well this channel is written.
It is sad what happened to Sanguinius. The Blood Angels are one of my fave Space Marine Chapters, on par with the Ultramarines and Space Wolves.
For the emperor we fight and die, for Sanguinius we live
warhammer 40k never surprises me with the amount of lore and creativity that goes into it
Uh, the narrator kinda got mixed up and called them the seventh legion twice…
shit
@@TemplinInstitute please report to your local inquisition office for mandatory re-education by bolt round to the head for your grievous mistake.
@@TemplinInstitute Come with us
@@Its-Just-Zip Well there is always one option - claim to be under mandate of Adeptus Mechanicus... the sole human entity in 40k which in essence can give middle finger to the Inquisition.
Both on notion that Mechanicus is actually just independent ALLY of the Imperium, and the fact that its Mechanicus who builds fleets, titans, ordinati and the entire arsenal of the exterminatus toys even the Inquisition needs :D
For the Omnissiah!
@@TemplinInstitute not really Dorn is was quite the rule based ruler and very vocal about all impuritys ya did nothing wrong
What drove Fulgrim to chaos?
Simple: not as fabulous as Sanguinius
I don't even game as I've more productive uses for the thousands of hours that would consume, but the fan videos are outstanding! May tech improve so you can do the hundreds of hours the subject deserves and my thanks to your community for some fascinating entertainment. There is nothing else quite like it.
Do you have plans to cover any other chapters soon? I would LOVE to see my fiery Salamanders get their proper due, considering how often they get ignored or sidelined in fluff
An Alpha Legion one would be…interesting
Or an Eisenhorn one 👀
Roboute Guilliman.
Guilliman the tactician.
Guilliman the warrior.
History will remember the Primarch of the Ultramarines by many titles. To us of the Blood he
will have only one - Guilliman the butcher.
With law and edict, Guilliman ripped the heart from the Legions. Even his own sons were not
spared his treachery. Where Horus had sought to use a hammer blow, Guilliman used a
duellist's blade. In the end, the result was the same.
Brother became cousin. Cousin became exile.
Guilliman's new chapter, his new beginning, was a sundering to all that
had come before.
Thank u I've been looking for a good way to learn the lore with a easy to understand explained episode
I actually cried listening to this . The death cry of the fallen angel not just echoed into the future but the past as well.
Blood Angels are my first and favorite faction. I am currently taking a small break from UA-cam to paint and rebuild a new Blood Angels army.
There is the enemy, brothers, the price for their heresy shall be paid, IN BLOOD, FOR THE EMPEROR!
And here I am waiting for Templin to give my boi Kurze the Templin treatment.
Damn, you're GOOD!!!! Right up there with the revered Loremasters such as Luetin, Boldemort and Wolf Lord Rho. I LOVE your vids and its just sooo epic. Your clear and structured presentation makes it so easy to follow and understand even for non native english speakers such as me and my gf that I wanna introduce into WH40K. Keep it up man!
Ps.: I am a huge WH40K nerd, I've seen almost all relevant vids on UA-cam and you good Sir are among the very best! I've never made a patreon for any youtuber as I am a poor student, but I am seriously considering it for you.
For the Emperor and Holy Terra
They say it is a blight, but you cannot ask for a better vanguard or shock troopers than a few hundred Astartes entirely consumed by either Black Rage or Red Thirst.
I can hear the symphony playing out even now...
That Imperator Titan at 15:46 has a rotary cannon dropping car sized casings.
congratz on 420k subs! Best channel on youtube
blaze it
That was one of your best investigations, superb!
when that Blood angel looks at you as a guardsman and growls Horus.....damn it.
bolt down your relics, protect your properties, and hide your kids, the magpies parent chapter is here
Nah, Blood Ravens are descended from the Thousand Sons.
No. They are not. They Blood Ravens may have 'Blood' in their name, but they show none of the telling traits associated with the Blood Angels. They do not suffer from the Red Thirst and Black Rage. Additionally, the lore so heavily hints at their association with the Thousand Sons.
16:04 Noticed how the lamenters aren't part of that list. It's almost like this is a recounting of the legion's past to a group of acolytes
For Emperor, for Sanguinius!
Death! Death! Be bloody, bold, and resolute my brothers of baal.
You've done the 9th, perhaps the 8th legion?
Please do Night Lords and Thousand Sons. Love your videos.
Finally, my favorite chapter.
"Citizens of Acrabellar! Take heart, for the Angels of the Emperor descend! Your liberation is at hand. _You_ _are_ _not_ - _you_ _were_ _never_ - _forgotten_ . The doom of the alien is inevitable. Take up your arms, see them all slain!"
Another sad symptom of the Black Rage is that those afflicted will see their allies as loyalist champions from the age of the Horus Heresy.
"And so it was that they fought - the Angel and the Beast. Titanic must have been that struggle, between those two gods amongst men. A thousand times a thousand years of lamenting will never atone for our loss.
When the armor of your faith is buckled and torn, see in your mind that magnificent hero. Think upon his deeds and be humble, for his like will never walk the galaxy again." Lemartes 3rd edition
A Templin 40k upload? Emperor, forgive me for feeding Slaneesh today.
More 40K content pls!! Your videos are just so good!
Warhammer has all the coolest names. Blood thirst? *chef kiss*
Ever since I read my first WH40K book the blood angels have been my fav
Awesome. Could you do a video on the White Scars? I'm building an army of that chapter so it would be cool to see that on this channel.
By the Blood of Sanguinius!
With rage of black and blood of Crimson Red, all heretics now shall be dead. By our hand the emperor's wrath shall flow, here at your end all shall know. For the blood of Sanguinius now we ride, the Blooded host have come to turn the tide.
@oppai-sama nope, that's the chant that mephiston(chief librarian of the blood angels) recites before every battle
For Emperor and Sanguinius !!
Can't wait for your video on the Raven Guard 🤞
