Ah the Crimson Fists, despite coming from one of the most taciturn, cold and logical of the Primarchs, still capable of great humanity as demonstrated by Pedro Kantor himself, "You have done well to carry them this far. It is now time someone carried you." Thus did they earn the title of humanity's greatest defenders, alongside the Salamanders, Blood Angels and the Lamenters. Another awesome vid! Well the thing about Dorn is that he isn't really cold because he dislikes "normie" humans. He just thinks most people are way too soft. And I can't blame him honestly, shitty universe is cruel and you need thick skin.
Plus Crimson Fists are more or less his duty to humanity personified. He feels responsible not just for Big E's dream but also for humans, as Dorn takes his job seriously, and "Defenders of Humanity" means something to him, I like to believe. So Crimson Fists are just that - what little compassion he had to spare.

According to the horus heresy novels, drop ship massacre is fought at the date of 006.M31 and Solar war starts by the time of 010.M31 so for 4 years at least, Dorn strengthened both holy terra and solar system. I mean if it was up to him, the work would never finished.

When I heard Larissa was leaving and the Templin Institute was gonna have a new narrator I was skeptical but after watching these last couple videos with the new narrator not only have I grown to enjoy his narration but I feel he has earned his place on this channel and becoming a key part in its content. You just made one error, which is that Rogal Dorn learned about his legion having to be broken down into chapters before the iron cage.
The iron cage was three things : 1) the final defeat of Perturabo, 2) the final point to Dorn’s crusade, 3) a test for his legion to realize what Dorn realized by using the pain glove.
Basically Dorn came to accept Roboute’s decree but knew that his legion would not follow him on that decision unless they suffered as much as he did before he could came to this realization (don’t question that, he is superhuman genius, he probably knew what he was doing... somehow ^^), so he decided to take on Perturabo’s challenge because he knew it would be as much a test for them as it was for him to go through the pain glove.
Leading to the tradition of the iron cage in the imperial fist chapter, by the way.
