One of my favourite moments from the book with two of my favourite loyalist Primarchs! Even before Valdor comes in to sweeten the entire scene even further. Getting to see Sanguinius be himself, if a bit more forceful and Dorn seem almost a little uncharacteristically lost surrounding this incredible moment of brotherly love is spectacular and only makes the coming tragedy that much worse! You have amazing voice narration. I listen to a lot of audiobooks. I have some favorite narrators. You should look into narrating novels. I would enjoy listening to you reading novels. This was great.
It could genuinely be said: "What would Sanguinnius do?" ...really would be a life-philosophy to nigh-guarantee you'd Iive/act in a way to be proud of and would be remembered as a truly good man by your peers.
He actually believes he’s going to defy the fate of his vision and live, just as he says he’s done so many times before. He believes that since time is suspended in the warp, then there is no actual “day” for him to face Horus in, a day for him to die. He’s pretty explicit about it. His belief that he will triumph is the only reason the Emperor even lets him go with the team to the Vengeful Spirit.
I don't see it that way. Call it semantics, but I feel like his brother's love fortified his soul. This was a veiled goodbye, but being stirred to cry over love is not weakness, but the truest strength. For the Emperor, for Sanguinius, for Dorn, and for all Mankind! :D
I love the duality of this scene. On one hand, everyone is elated that the Emperor will be fighting alongside them to defeat the traitors. One the other hand, it’s because things have gotten so bad that the Emperor, himself, is forced to act.
I feel like Russ, Sanguineous and Vulcan give the best damn hugs. Russ giving you a near back breaking bear hug that lifts you up in the air as he lets out a hearty laugh. Vulcan a warm massive bear hug that pretty much smothers you. Sanguineous with a most tender and heart filled hug, full of comfort, love and sincerity. One that sooths the soul and breaks down the hardest of walls, melting the coldest of ice
I truly love how both primarchs acknowledge that this is it. This is the time when they realize just how bad things really are. Their father, a man of such power it rivals the gods, is being forced to act. Forgetting that he’s their father for a moment, this is essentially the equivalent of calling it code red and firing off nukes, ensuring mutual destruction. He is almost a god made manifest at this time. The emperor is akin to forcing your hand on the fire button for a nuclear missile. They realize this, that this is it.
@@_NutcasE_ its an analogy bruh, if country 1 sees nukes making impact in 15min (Horus incoming) then the only option for them is to hit the red button and send nukes back (Big E gets off the throne) even if they would only hit in 20min. if you have to hit the button then ur in a bad situation, they effectively did

And this is the reason #3234534 why Sanguinius is my favorite primarch... :( Then Corax, and then Dorn... What a scene... It literally made me teary-eyed... :(
This excerpt also shows that beneath his stone-faced mask, Dorn is very human Primarch. He wants to express emotion, but can't, simply because emotionality was not considered relevant to his "programming" back when he was created.
Of course! It's such a sweet moment when they almost feel like kids again, nervously waiting for Dad to join the fight, rather rare. And, my thanks for watching!
This is arguably the greatest moment in all of Warhammer, it shows both primarchs in such a great light, and Valdors appearance is great I love the seriousness of him. I don't have the book yet but whenever I do get it I can't wait to read this section. A great video as always
You've been hitting it out of the park with the Siege of Terra videos. It would be cool to see you go back and do some more scenes from the opening trilogy of the Horus Heresy whenever you finish with this current run.
I shall certainly add some of those to the list! I mostly record and release what has currently kept my attention but some of those initial Horus Heresy moments would be wonderful to do. My thanks for watching!
The Horus Heresy books have just made me fall in love with the setting, it's so richly detailed and expressive. Even if things are horrible, there's still this ample feeling of wonder at all the forces and situations present. Things that normal humans just can't help but be awed by. Dorn's character is my favourite by far, his resoluteness not steaming from blind faith or arrogance; but rather from experience and knowledge of what his task is and who his enemies are.
I agree honestly to a certain point I like 30k over 40k in my opinion it's far more dark and grim because they were so close to victory, so close to the dream, and they lost it all! All because of a single, simple failure
Saguinius would rather die from being rejected again for being a Blood Sucking Monster and would be happy to die from his own Big Bro from the Shallow side of things
Constantine Valdor always acts like the oldest sibling thst got forgotten about when the parent's had new kids to take care of thats why hes so bitter toesrds the primarchs but he has his favorites siblings by far its easy to tell
