All the members look like different versions of Reznor. The guitarists are the 90s Trent, and the keyboardist is With Teeth Trent, and the guy singing is current Trent!
Josh Freese was good but Ilan Rubin is something else. The guys a fucking machine and just recently thanks to him they've finally started playing The Perfect Drug live now they've found a drummer who can actually nail it
@@UnrealHighlights Dillon and Freese definitely could have nailed it (Hell it was even rehearsed in 2007). It was just that Trent was dissatisfied with how it sounded live. Until very recently anyway.
This performance is great overall, but I think the drummer is what engaged me most about it. Dude fucking nailed it all the way through. Didn't expect to see a live NIN drummer I liked as much as Ilan Rubin but here we are.
OF EVERY LIVE SHOW I HAVE EVER BEEN TO, NINE INCH NAILS HANDS DOWN IS THE MOST INTENSE AND WORTH EVERY PENNY SHOW I HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF GOING TO. LONG TIME FAN SINCE HIGH SCHOOL, I HAVE SO MANY OF THE PHYSICAL HALO'S. GO ON TOUR, I MISS YOU.
It's extremely depressing to realize that this song, and the Broken EP in general, came out in 1992...when I was only 13 years old...32 years ago now! Where has the f**king time gone to???
I heard LP's version first.....but it gave me exposure to Nine Inch Nails. I had never heard of them before that. Now I'm listening to all NIN's albums
So, I was a Linkin Park fan before. Always advocated about it and shared my passion for the band. I discovered Nine Inch Nails after listening to the music in the trailer for "300". And with that experience, I can say that both versions will appeal to a different set of people. Linkin Park themselves are covering a NIN song and that is an awesome thing in itself. Johnny Cash covered "Hurt". And that is awesome too. Overall, NIN is in a different league altogether. Trent Reznor is in a different league altogether. There is no comparison. Just love for your artist. I prefer NIN version of Wish because I find LP kiddish. But I do love LP's original songs and compilations till Collision Course album.
@@dbrohrs4668 Ahahah! What?! I prefer Trent tone. And what about that??? I don't care the power, I prefer the tone. Once more, and what about that? LP for me is irrelevant, but I respect the ones who likes their stuff, but only their stuff, this is not their stuff...! And in creativy Chester

God, I regret ever missing this band live. It's very rare that a live version, YEARS later, is done actually clearer and overall better than the master recording and yet still retaining that raw live sound, but they did it!
Everytime I hear this my head goes into the ace of spades can't help it luv this song but to me I'm expecting lemmy to start singing I just wanna live forever
ahhhh this is how i like my NIN shows. the last couple i've been to have been so lame. people just standing there listening even during the bangers like this and march of the pigs. THIS MUSIC DEMANDS PEOPLE TO BE IN MOTION.
I heard of NIN when I was like 8 or 9 from The Hand That Feeds being in Rock Band. loved it, but LP was my favorite band at the time. I heard LP's cover of Wish when I hadn't heard the original and thought "this is awesome" then went to the original and i was like "wtf dis suxz l0l lp allde way1!!1!" now i've listened to more of NIN's stuff and I actually know what the song is about, so I have to say, nothing can beat the original. :)
I'm watching this version now cos I was just watching Linkin Park's cover. There really is no need to compare the two. This sounded really good and I usually don't like songs on first listen. Linkin Park's aim was not to try and better NIN's version but just to pay tribute to a band that inspired them to create music....LP are NIN fans.
its amazing how north created his own guitar solo in this song, better than how robin finck plays it live, even though finck played with guns n roses at the time, his playing in guitar with different bands sounds so different
I prefer this version over the one by Linkin Park. People who prefer LP's version are entitled to their opinion, but could you please call it an opinion rather than a universal fact that LP's version is better? I find it annoying to read (and I think a lot of NIN fans would get less pissed off about it). Thank you.
why cant people just admit that both nin and lp versions are good. obviosly nin deserves more credit for writing and performing such a great song, but lp did do a pretty kickass cover of it.
ok I like both bands. I like both versions. there both different and really good in there own ways neither one is the overall superior version because there both good. end of

Wow, haven’t listened to NiN in over a decade. Stumbled on this and was surprised at how well they slayed it. I listened to Broken lots when I was younger and must admit this live version is waaaaay better.
Ok after viewing some opinions i think its time to express mine aswell. I listen a lot of lp and this band is the reason that i learnt this song. Now. I dont understand why both sides claim that their favorite band performs this song best. To NIN fans: How you ever thought that lp might sang this song due to deep respect towards NIN and NOT to surpass them and by trying to prove that they are better than them??......
@MegaKoolaid33 REZNOR is a god among music. How could you ever insult his voice like that? This was honestly the best lineup ever. Josh was a beast. Super nice when I met him.
Who is running guitarist Robin?
@@MrIgorek13 I think its aaron
Best WISH in my mind and best line up. AARON NORTH in your FACE !!!!
there was a real element of chaos that all subsequent live bands didn't have..
To be honest, most of the time Aaron North sounded like he had no idea what band he was in.
Aaron added so much to the live band. His energy cant be contained. Pure Madness.
Josh Freese.....Bruce Lee of drummers….Love the double base
Love watching the drumming cam of this XD

My favorite NIN lineup. Aaron North was an absolute fucking beast who is sorely missed.
My favorite line up as well. Geordie White and Aaron North really added to the band
