My first concert was Nine Inch Nails, Downward Spiral tour in 1995. I was 15 years old, and it blew my mind. I went with my best friend and his older sister's boyfriend Donald, and we worked our way to the front and got our little teenage asses thrown around in the mosh pit like rag dolls. A band called Pop Will Eat Itself and a freak show called Jim Rose Circus opened, I remember they had a guy who picked an anvil up with schlong. Nine Inch Nails had speakers that were probably 25 feet tall and we were right in front of them the whole time. It was a really short show because Trent was sick, but I remember being impressed anyway. After the show all three of us piled into Donald's Chevy S-10 and had to scream to hear each other because we were all deaf. Great time lol!

Trent did something incredible. He brought industrial music out of the 70's and 80's and still kept it relevant into the 90's and 2000's. He pretty much carried that torch and I dont think anyone has really carried it since.
@@blackdenim23 fuck ya...AL started trent's career...people seem to forget al started the entire industrial rock movement. What people also dont know, is Trent was actually ministry's roadie for 2yrs before he started NIN....trent just took off, because he can obviously write better melodies than al jorgensen could
@@blackdenim23 Ministry just sold the fuck out with their last album. Tried to become relevant by backing Antifa... Saw em live right before the rona shut everything down, was NOT impressed with their new stuff.
That concert looks the the most fun I could possibly have within my budget. Can't wait to see them this year in August! Got my tickets on my fridge, just counting down.
Trent Reznor is awesome. What an awesome showman and talent, just unbeatable. I'm so glad I spent my formative years growing up in the 90's listening to him. It was a great time to be a teenager!
One of my favorite songs to play on the keys, especially with a good guitarist. I just program the drum machine and automate everything else and boom perfect.
Manson is still rocking the stages worldwide as we speak, preparing the release of his next album, a 20th anniverary edition of Antichrist Superstar, just did a couple movie and tv-roles, was part of the Marc Jacobs campaign, etc. etc. .... while Trent is busy preparing lunch for his kids and working at the Apple office. Call me a fanboy, but I prefer Manson's path. Also, I saw Manson live last year, and he was beyond awesome, a whole lot better than 2005-2012. Sometimes you just have to be there and not judge a UA-cam video. Also, I'll take an unscripted, out of control Manson show over an over-rehearsed circus show at any day. Also saw NIN twice 2 years ago, fantastic show. Those two acts couldn't be different these days, so there's not even the need to compare them. You want chaotic rock 'n' roll? Go see Manson. You wanna see true musicianship? Go see NIN. You're gonna get far better music and real art either way. Maybe not as intense as in 1994, but still better than 99% of what's out there.
Just wanna get it off my chest: This song inspired me at 16 to steal the album (cassette mind you) from the "National Mall" in D.C back into daze on a school trip. Slip cover case and all - worth it for every note still today.
Such Chaos, So Aggressive. But Controlled. How they can perform under these conditions is so amazing. Trent and the band's talent is Awesome. From the loud Chaos to the Beautiful Peaceful Melodies, a perfect balance of emotions. I was lucky enough to have seen Hesitation Marks in Montreal. Trent is a God!
Matthew Turk He suffered severe mental health problems, had a breakdown in 2008 and has not been well since. I sincerely wish him all the best, it’s a horrible illness. While his departure brought back Robin Finck, you can’t deny Aaron North’s stage presence & chaos! 🤘🤘
Trent and his boys are the workers of chaos and they understand. They are EFFICACIOUS in their violence, no clumsy punks here. They destroy with some SKILL.
I was at this concert~ I'm so goddamn happy that they decided to film it there. :) It was a small, tight and hot coliseum. I was right up front~ getting CRUSHED against those iron bars by the sweating, swelling crowd. It felt so goddamn good~ X3
NIN kicks ass !! Trent is very brilliant. He writes his own songs and sing with so much passion. Also, I admire his efforts working with PETA to save cats from being slaughtered in China.
Reznor es el fortman más auténtico de los últimos años. Pero aún le queda mucho que dar en el escenario. Esta es una muestra de su sonido tan personal y reconocible. Reznor nunca defrauda.
1:40 A keyboardist jumping on top the Synth. Now that's rock and roll!!!
The best part is it works with the song. In any other scenario, that would've sounded like shit!

Lol that’s one hell of a chord.
Hell yeah
Hell yeah
That stage dive was great.
The set is great!
how can someone sing so well while being out of breath? I can barely finish a sentence
This never gets old.
nope
One of the most brutal masterpieces ever.

My first show was NiN too at age 16. I think back in 2006. Lights In The Sky NA Tour, I believe. It was the best show I've ever been to.
Holy shit. Pop will eat itself. I haven't listened to them in 20 years. Ich bein ein auslander? That was from memory probably wrong.

It's a little known fact that trent reznor can bench 2 tons with his vocal chords alone...

Imagine going to a NIN show in the 90s and trying to comprehend an even more chaotic guitarist joining the band.

Pure force. This is one of their best live songs.

That, and the jump on the key rig.

Hands down the best NIN line-up ever.
So glad Trent's doing so damn well all these years later. He was in a dark place but he looks like he's having lots of fun here.
What A Great Crowd And The Craziest Synthesizer Jumping
That show looked like it friggin rocked. Glad to see NiN still doing it better than the rest!
Ha. Trents still abusing that mic. Brings me right back to the original March of the Pigs video.
They have an amazing stage presence,

record a tutorial on the drum machine please bro
If only his prodigy Marilyn Manson could keep himself in this good of shape
Manson hit the fame and rock star lifestyle much harder, which did bring him more notoriety but at a price

It's hard to find time for that when Trent's winning Grammy's and Oscar's and creating art that is, apparently, worth rewarding
Manson is a fat bloated mess
You're right
Manson's a chubby bloke now

I remember this live in Edmonton. All the shirtless cowboys in the pit. I almost died I think. It was my first concert ever at 16. Bittersweet.
I saw them in Nottingham uk. They were so good my eyes started to leak with joy. It was emotional as fuck
Trent's accompanying bands have to be the best out of any solo artist who goes live they get so into it and go insane!!!
I read an article about Aaron North now being homeless :(
I would like for him to recover. you can find an article about his homelessness
