"Youth and Government is a civics education program where we do the exact same thing our state government does"
Youth and Government is a YMCA-made and led program and was created to help youth understand what their role in government could be in the future - within public works, public service, and the government as a whole. It gives kids the opportunity to learn about our political system through hands-on experience.
Some things you'll learn are public speaking, how to do research, how to write bills, how to present them, and much more.
