- We previously showed how to use LightBurn’s tools to find the best settings for your laser. In this video we will cover how to create a Material Library in LightBurn to store these settings. This will allow us to quickly reference our saved settings and apply them to our project.

I can't praise Lightburn developers enough, the updates are second to none and the ease of use is excellent (due to this type of video).
This has to be the most powerful software for any laser operation.
Just a thought to help new users, how about a "How do I?" series of videos for complete newbies to laser cutting and engraving.
From setting up a machine for optimal performance and basic maintenance, to the range of software control and usage.
I'm sure that we could all benefit from this.
Keep up the great work guys, we all appreciate it.
👍
We appreciate the kind words and feedback.
We are working on redoing some of the earlier videos as well as filling some of the gaps. We started with initial setup along with a beginner project then moved to the speed/power and interval testing followed by this video.
There are plans for more in this beginner series.
Great video. Love how to the point you guys are. Thanks for an amazing program!!!
Well done Dino from Italy ❤
*Great Tutorial*
That's awesome I had no idea this is possible! I've been storing my settings in a spreadsheet for so long!
Based on what we have seen you are definitely not alone. This should be much more streamlined.
Thank you!
Great! Thank you!
I love that you say Liberry. I say it that way, too. My family always gives me flack over it so now I say it that way just to annoy them lol. I enjoy these videos. This software is so versatile.
The missing R really hurt me ;)
Great video about lie berries ;-)
How can I get LightBurn to save the current window configuration when I close it so that every time I open it my art library is active.
Thank you!
It should remember automatically you workspace window layout. It is tied to each device though so you will need to make sure it is set for the device have as default which is the one that it will automatically open with.
Hitting the new tap and nothing is happening
I have a problem that cutting in the y axis is faster than in the x axis
Are you saying when running a cut the laser has higher power moving in one direction? Photos of what you are seeing will be helpful in trying to diagnose. If you can send photos, machine and material info to our support - support@lightburnsoftware.com
when I click new, nothing happens. I don't get a file explorer window. I'm running os 14.3.1
That only happens when you click Save or Open. New clears the current project.
thank you. all I had to do was pay better attention to the video😃@@lightburnsoftware7189
why i can't buy lightburn with paypal now ?

What is the problem and what is the solution
Reply is in your other comment.
I have to leave a comment here just because I consider myself a reasonably intelligent guy. Is this is virtually impossible to follow. If I was as familiar with lighburn as it appears you assume the viewer to be I wouldn't need this video. Just saying. I'm looking to just edit a basic lighburn library, one machine, no more than 5 separate cuts or fills. Can't find a video... Not much stuff for beginners out there. Love my machine so far though.
