Man....this video...this music. This is literally how the movie feels in 4 mins. Incredible that you were able to find the right music and capture it so perfectly.
This has to be the best edit for Heat iv seen. This encapsulates everything I love about the movie. Everyone remembers it for its incredible action and gun fights, but what it also is, is a beatiful meditation of life, masculitinity and your place in this world.
As someone who spent a decade in law enforcement in a major city (top 10 population) during this era, and spent a great deal of that time in a very small unit like Robbery/Homicide (fam violence unit in my case: the monster under the bed of the monster), I can tell you that, technical disparities and liberties aside, this is the best cop film ever made (that I know of). Michael Mann did incredible work here portraying the cost that "the job" takes on you and your family, and also a bit of the psychology of those who lead a life of crime. Lt. Hanna encapsulates what my former Lt. used to tell us: "To do this job, you have to carry the tears of a city in your heart." 99% of criminals are NOT Neil McCauley or Kaiser Soze, but a select few are fairly bright and dedicated in their craft, and you have to move when they move as the film says. But NONE of them are sexy, and nearly all of them (or someone close to them) eventually slip. And they leave a trail of destruction in their wake, mostly in the form of broken families and betrayed relationships. A majestic film. Not a single bad performance anywhere in there.. And the ending is EPIC (reminds me of "The Black Hole"). As one of my former (fellow) tac medics once said: "Sometimes when you stare into the abyss, it's just an abyss."
This movie has an astronomical cast who may not have always had good movies every single casting, but each of this group of actors has had consistently strong characters in a hodgepodge of films, always upholding the quality of a movie simply for their character work and participation in it. And we've been fortunate enough that many of them have worked together in other projects so we can appreciate that work ethic of these individuals.
This film was a classic from the first time I saw it. Nearly 30s years old and its still one of the greatest films ever. Two titans of acting with the brilliance of Michael Mann. This film does everything for me. I laugh and cry and feel cold blooded and broken hearted. I envy those who have yet to see it.
This movie makes my heart drop I don't know what it is about De Niro's character in this movie makes me mourn for his death in the end it's crazy what Robert can make you feel even if it's just a movie love this movie
I'm an amateur screenwriter who has watched Heat at least 25 times since it came out... know every scene inside and out... and every time I see this edit the hairs on my arms stand up. Incredible.
As a new screenwriter, I suggest you read "The Shawshank Redemption's" script. Both Morgan Freeman & Tim Robbins said "it's the best script they ever read" and basically everybody in Hollywood wanted to produce and star in it. Also Bill Simmons in his review of the movie said that Frank Darabont partitioned the movie in 9 parts.
The greatest film I've ever seen. Still. And yes, I've seen hundreds and hundreds and hundreds. Nothing has topped this since I saw it in the cinema for the first time in 1995. The score, a brilliant director, the 2 greatest actors EVER imho (with De Niro being first), the acting, the dialogue, the tension, the noise of the truck hitting the armoured truck, the loudness of the planes overhead at the end, the ending itself, immaculately scored by Moby with the hypnotic God Moving Over The Face Of The Water. Am i forgetting something...? Oh. Yeah. THAT deafening, *_EPIC_* shootout. Greatest. Film. EVER.❤🔥💯❤️
Didn’t really think much of this movie for a whole, until I watched it. No movie, and I mean no other fucking movie had made me go “wow” at the end, and sit in utter silence at just how damn good this movie was made. Perfect blend of reality with movie drama and cliches. Felt like watching a real bank robbery with cameras everywhere. Like the North Hollywood one that took place in the last 30 years I think. I love this movie, I’ve got it up there with Casino, GoodFellas, Irishman, the ones that really struck deep into everyone. This movie deserves 100x the recognition it’s given. At the end when Vincent and Neil fight it out, where De-Niro ends up with a torso full of lead, after Pacino unloads into him, the respect they showed in each other as enemies on common ground with that locked hands moment amazed me. Knowing neither one of them wanted to kill each other, but it was do or die. Last man standing. Fuck I love Heat.
Der beste Film den ich in 57 Jahren jemals gesehen habe. Schon x mal geschaut. Immer bewegend. Eine Legende mit legendären Schauspielern. 🙏🙏 Hier ein top Zuschnitt. Danke👍
Seen Heat 50x. Yet I have chills running down my spine. Goosebumpss. That elevating floating out of body feeling only movies deliver. Phenomenally done! 👏
What a movie.. I've always considered it a masterpiece in the crime-drama genre...although I love Pacino DeNiro is the man in this one...he oozed cool in that suit...what a movie. The 90s were the days....
Peak edit. Definitely one of the best I’ve seen. Hands down.. The first time I watched Heat about a year ago, it instantly became one of my all time favorite films. Greatest bank heist movie ever. It’s the respect at the end too that really does it for me despite both of them being on opposite sides of the law. Mann couldn’t have picked a better casting for this. Holy S***
Absolutely Magnificent! 👏👏Bravo Brother! Perfectly edited with a superb soul soaring music track that blends and polishes the movie image edits purely to perfection in each second of this. 🙏❤️🙏
What a movie. I have watched it 100 times. The cast, the ambience of the film. The plot. Just brilliant. Mann done Miami Vice so you can see the resemblance to this movie.🙏

Micheal Mann took the concept of Heist movie and turned into a masterpiece about the need for a human connection in this ever-growing isolated world In our pursuit of material wealth. A mirror image of the same person from different side of life
This was awesome i really love that you edited this movie it is too good and man you killed it with the song and captured what makes this movie great it is so flawlessly done you've created a timeless masterpiece can't wait to see what you do next 💙
damn dude, awesome cut up. This movie FUCKING RULES, i've gotta figure anyone watching this is already a fan of the film, but if you haven't seen it, DO IT. Start to finish excellent, the shootout in the streets is the best shootout scene i've ever seen in a film.
