True Detective Season 1 is my favorite tv show of all time and I've seen every fan-based video I can find on youtube and this is by far the best. Thank you for this. I will be using this as an introduction to anyone I plan to recommend this show to. Time is a flat circle.
The best I have ever seen! McConaghey and Harrelson absolutely brilliant. Everything about True Detective Season 1 is perfect. Kind of wish season 2 had been a direct continuation but then again; as was; perfection!
The best season of True Detective, one of the best seasons of television, period , perfect season , loved it, conversely love your video , great work , very powerful and emotional
Season one is still the best show i have ever seen. I can watch it over and over and i never get tired of it. The southern gothic feeling, the philosophy of Rust, the dialogues, acting, the swamp. All of it is just breathtaking.
Couldn't agree more. I've watched countless movies, shows, animes and what not since I've watched TD S1 and I haven't seen anything that has topped it up till now. Easy 11/10.
I think Deacon Farrar is definitely one of many tragic characters in this show. In the beginning when you see him, I suspected him of nefarious things. It was the biggest lesson this show ever taught me..never judge a book by its cover. He was a good man who truly believed in the good his parish was trying to do for people by bringing them a message of hope and faith. He just got caught up in the quagmire of his own religious system and it's inherent bureaucracy. He was the only one who tried to do the right thing and report what he saw during his lay duties and he got accused of being responsible for the photos. Just a good man caught up in a bad corrupted world. "I lost heart, a little bit of this." Rust related more to this man than he cared to realize. Amazing writing.
Almost every day, at some point, I stop by and watch the whole video, so that I can remind myself to not trust a single soul on this planet. True Detective Season 1 is a work of art, a masterpiece.
I've seen this season three times, only just realized Rust couldn't forgive himself for the death of his daughter, and his NDE is what gave him that forgiveness in the form of his daughter's love... I feel stupid.
@Sheerluck Holmes I thought Rust was a self described pessimist, not necessarily a nihilist. But for me, his character doesn't really seem like the type to get too caught up in the philosophical terms or their definitions. Nihilist, pessimist, whatever he was, he was hating himself and it took dying for him to let that go.
@Sheerluck Holmes I can see how some might see Rust's change after experiencing death as a betrayal against the nihilism at the heart of his character, and I can appreciate that. It's worth mentioning though that people aren't necessarily their beliefs, such as Christians who sin or Buddhists being attached, so it should be theoretically possible for a nihilist to feel relief after being forgiven.
This is a masterful edit and really captures this wonderful season in a beautiful way. Love the way you contrast the old and the new scenes. Keep it up!
“You know the good years when you're in them, or you just wait for them until you get ass cancer and realize that the good years came and went? You did this show a huge service by making this video. The music, the clips, the editing. Bravo sir. True Detective s1 has gone down as one of the greatest masterpieces of Television and this video proves that.
True detective is one of the best shows I’ve ever watched, aside from season 3. It hurts me to think that someone who wrote all that and thought of it probably has a lot of pain behind him.
This is definitely one of the most impressive jewels on screen in so many ways. The dialogues between them both, the way of telling an actually random story, the pictures and how all those fit together is absolutely amazing. It´s just a priceless and needful experience, each soul has to make. Wish, there was a sequel :(
LeBreton, congrats! You've taken a very special season of TV, (in my humble opinion the single greatest season of a TV show ever), and gave it an almost parting trailer. Especially the edits of younger Rust flashing back & forth with the older Rust while riding in the car.
“Do you know what they did to me? What I would do to all the sons and daughters of man.” Just caught that, this monster was once a human. Till evil found him and broke him. In this fictional world theres someone that he abused thats going to go out and do the same shit. Thats what Russ means when he says time is a flat circle, everything that has happened will happen again, again, and again. This world can turn you inside out, you gotta find something to love and get a little lucky.
Time isn't a flat circle it's just that people aren't very inventive, we see and repeat patterns. Patterns of success, patterns of failure, and patterns of abuse. True Detective Season 1 is my favorite tv show of all time and I've seen every fan-based video I can find on youtube and this is by far the best. Thank you for this. I will be using this as an introduction to anyone I plan to recommend this show to. Time is a flat circle.
So much symbolism is this series, its out there. It happens, and people know about it and know who does it.
My favorite piece of film ever created.
I Spent Beautiful Hours In TV And 8 Of This Masterpiece One Of Them..
True detective, Breaking Bad, Fargo and Twin Peaks are masterclass presentation of what humanity can achieve
I enjoy Fargo and true detective and I breaking bad was good, now I am going to watch twin peaks because it seems we have same taste!
This season changed my perspective on life when i first saw its so real its scary. amazing writing and acting
Brilliant ode to a masterpiece of a series. Well done and thanks.
The best I have ever seen! McConaghey and Harrelson absolutely brilliant. Everything about True Detective Season 1 is perfect. Kind of wish season 2 had been a direct continuation but then again; as was; perfection!
You know sometimes i just wish i could delete this show from my memory only to find it again and rewatch it from the start
Now I want to rewatch for the “I lost count” time this masterpiece, this great tv achievement
Watching it for 6th time in the span of 3 months
That was a flood of memories and emotions. Thank you. What a piece the first (and only b true) season was and will always be. Incomparable.
Lets not forget that Vince Vaugn plyed that role on season 2 to perfection and it was totaly out of his comfort zone
The best season of True Detective, one of the best seasons of television, period , perfect season , loved it, conversely love your video , great work , very powerful and emotional
Yep...perfection...
Going back!
I'll have to watch all them in irder before I make my mind up...
See you there..
This was iconic and elaborate. I respect your tribute. It's beautiful. Im writing about the phenomenons and concepts of this show.
Season one is still the best show i have ever seen. I can watch it over and over and i never get tired of it. The southern gothic feeling, the philosophy of Rust, the dialogues, acting, the swamp. All of it is just breathtaking.
Undoubtedly
Couldn't agree more. I've watched countless movies, shows, animes and what not since I've watched TD S1 and I haven't seen anything that has topped it up till now. Easy 11/10.
The editing on this is incredible!
I agree and do the same
Why so perfect show man ..
I've seen this season three times, only just realized Rust couldn't forgive himself for the death of his daughter, and his NDE is what gave him that forgiveness in the form of his daughter's love... I feel stupid.
Cory Edwards 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Great tribute. The show was/is legendary. So well done, so brave and though provoking. Thanks for your post.
This is a masterful edit and really captures this wonderful season in a beautiful way. Love the way you contrast the old and the new scenes. Keep it up!
“You know the good years when you're in them, or you just wait for them until you get ass cancer and realize that the good years came and went? Because there's a feeling you might notice it sometimes... this feeling like life has slipped through your fingers... like the future is behind you, like it's always been behind you.”
When Rust says the lights winning I believe him .
i wish i could watch it like at the first time, its an amazing show
Season 1 is one of the best shows I've ever seen...simply awesome!!!
Wow what an awesome compilation! Very well done, I can see there was so much work in this one.
Dear HBO, we want more Rust Cohle!!!
This is a great summary of the whole season if you have watched its guaranteed that you will feel chills right down your spine
This is definitely one of the most impressive jewels on screen in so many ways. The dialogues between them both, the way of telling an actually random story, the pictures and how all those fit together is absolutely amazing. It´s just a priceless and needful experience, each soul has to make.
Wish, there was a sequel :(
Brilliantly put. Great work!
Undoubtedly one if the greatest TV seasons of all time.
This edit is the best edit of rust I've seen on UA-cam yet.
The only tv show I watch again and again.
It’s just that good
LeBreton, congrats! You've taken a very special season of TV, (in my humble opinion the single greatest season of a TV show ever), and gave it an almost parting trailer. Especially the edits of younger Rust flashing back & forth with the older Rust while riding in the car.
Really it means to fight monsters you must be a monster cause both these characters are damn heroes after what they pulled off.
Amazing edit man. Have no choice but to watch it again
What a show!
I noticed this is the channel who uploaded a fantastic video about best sport moments. Good job man, I appreciate it
Maaaaan all respect from me, this is an absolute masterpiece, just made me watch the season 1 again
How long it take you to finish it??
I watch this video once every two months or so. Great series and great editing.
I like how Martin sincerely tells the truth about his partner in the beginning of the video, because it's truth
epic edit of an epic series
“Do you know what they did to me? What I would do to all the sons and daughters of man.”
Just caught that, this monster was once a human. Till evil found him and broke him. In this fictional world theres someone that he abused thats going to go out and do the same shit. Thats what Russ means when he says time is a flat circle, everything that has happened will happen again, again, and again. This world can turn you inside out, you gotta find something to love and get a little lucky.
John Doe, Tool - prison sex
@@Willylast Exactly. I was thinking exactly that...then clicked on the replies button and saw yours. Tool-wrenched minds, eh?
@@Willylast Great point. I love that song. Never made the connection until your comment, thanks.
Thats crazy man
Time isn't a flat circle it's just that people aren't very inventive, we see and repeat patterns. Patterns of success, patterns of failure, and patterns of abuse. An intelligent being that almost always never actually thinks, and when we do we find we're not free to chose the path we want we're just a slave to ourselves.
Sweet baby jesus. I need to rewatch T.D. S1. Perfecto video! :)
Everyone in season 1 did such an incredible job.
Dude holy cr*p that was an awesome seven minutes, nicely done
I might watch this video every day. Thank you.
This is the best editing I’ve ever seen on UA-cam. Thumbs up if you can recognise that
