As a long time fan of Nardwaur, this has to be one of the best interviews if simply cuz of the heartfelt finish. Fred was a sweetheart and he and his friends really did show their love of Nardwaur. I don't mind saying I got misty watching the last 5 mins.
Fred is such a beautiful person You can just feel it through the screen , when he plays live, everything about this man is just pure joy. Grateful this world has him
Yeh like anyone popular he gets so much shit online, but on his insta he just comes across as the nicest guy. In his free time he’ll get a bus or a train to a seaside town alone and just go for pints in a small pub whilst making tunes on his laptop. Love it.
the card at the end was so cute and thoughtful. nardwuar is always the one gifting things, so it's really sweet to have that effort be reciprocated. you could tell he did not expect it and really appreciated it :')
I've always really appreciated how whenever someone brings up that infamous moment where Rodney stops the decks at his Boiler Room set, Fred has never spoken poorly of him, says that it was an unfortunate accident, and even shouts him out for being such a big supporter of him and other artists. Really shows you how good a person Fred is.
Yes, he showed his humility there and whether the guy even shut the decks off or not, the way he handles it is absolute class and what we should want from all our favorite artists
Being a kid that grew up on Nardwuar interviews and then following Fred's music since 2019 Soundcloud era and also being same age I feel so much joy watching this interview, it's like a close friend got to live out his dream and you're really happy for him hahaha
This is the first interview I've seen where you can genuinely tell that the person being interviewed is just as happy and joyful to be there as they should be
steve reich was an essential part of my music school journey. the percussion studio had performed so many of his works and his music inspired me so much! so glad to hear him mentioned here!
It makes me tear up seeing Fred again giving Nardwuar a cardwuar. Fred showing his admiration and I must say I am Fred too in that way. Seeing my favorite artist giving Nardy (a gem in the music community) his flowers is a sight. Good episode as always.
This interview is such a great example of how good of an interviewer Nardwuar is. He is so studied and appreciative of how layered Fred Again is an artist. Now one of my favorite Nard interviews.
Two living legends, I'm so glad I found freds music a few years ago, he's one that will be around forever can't wait for the journey ahead, and nardwuard is the fucking man I watched this guy ever since can remember 25 years maybe
Pure joy from watching this ahaha Fred is just as happy and excited to be there as me watching this video Nardwuar is an absolute legend, such an honor to have him interview you, so sick dude! And super cool to see you talk about things you've never talked before with such an excitement

That card would have sent me to tears. What a great interview, and a great guest. Congrats, Nardwuar. Legends are often things of the past or fiction, but you, sir, are a living legend.
Seeing Fred tear up a bit for the final bits of the interview really showed how big of a deal this must have been for him. Found that more genuinely moving than I would have ever expected.
Fred's dad sees his son learning the drums and decides to learn along with him to bee able to jam with him. Sounds like an amazing dad!
