    Wow Ian what a difference. You can clearly see it in the way it tracks. This is a great example of what we were talking about this morning...promoting the hobby, helping other modelers, and getting help as well. Great of Bob to reach out! That was a great flight and pretty much tells me I need one. Lol. Thanks so much for putting our sub picture up at the end Ian ...so nice of you! Works too...we have got more new subs today than usual for sure and I'm betting its because of your help! Thanks again!

    Maidens can be nerve wracking but re-maidens cam be even more so sometimes. Great result and well done to Bob for getting the info to you. Makes you wonder why the manufacturer even bothers to mark a cg!

      I felt ok this morning Cliff, just a little apprehensive of crashing again!! Yes they recommend 75-85mm but Bob said his club guru said 67mm so they are a bit out!! Yep great of Bob to take the time to message me 😄👍

      Just some glue and cocktail sticks Jerry, and I filled the dents with some light weight Balsa filler and touched the paint up with Tamiya flat Aluminium paint, if you look carefully you can see where the pieces were glued back in!! Thanks for watching and commenting Jerry 😄👍

    Hi again guys! Best way to deal with the pain of a crash is jump straight back in, having learned from mistakes! I knew it was out of balance in some way mate, it looked so difficult to fly last time 'round. Really pleased for you mate! Well Done! You flew really well, especially with the nerves after an accident! Glad it's back flying again! Thanks Ian and Cheryl! Wes, Liverpool UK.

    Hi Ian … wow .. fantastic rebuild ….. Would never imagined this model could be rebuilt and recovered to anything like this standard … then I got really nervous for you watching you fly this plane again, but I no worry’s .. it flys beautifully…. Looks so cool in the sky but still does not look so easy, fly so fast but you were more than on top of it and great landing . It made me concerned now to take the manufacturer’s COG as correct … So happy for you .. I call that a great result for you and many lessons to be taken for all us flyers ….
    Thanks Michael

    • @IansRCExploits
      @IansRCExploits  2 роки тому

      Thanks Michael, yes if the CG is wrong in the manual that's a very bad start!! An old UA-camr once told me to go with a third of the wing!! That's fine for a plane with a straight wing but no good for a swept wing plane!! I am experienced to know that on the maiden this Jet was tail heavy!! I should have got it straight down and moved the battery more to the nose!! But I didn't and could have kicked myself, it's so annoying you watch some of these big channels and they never mention one of the most critical things and that's the CG!! Thanks for watching and commenting Michael 😄👍

    I was the Jehovah’s Witness for the ArrowsRC Viper and Marlin the last 2 years. (My start in EDF’s) When I opened the box on the T-33 I just laughed. I thought it was inferior foam, the wing tanks would break off on every landing, and the microscopic screws holding the wing in place would snap on the first loop. As with everything, I was completely wrong. It’s tougher than it looks. I may reinforce the wing tanks, but the T-33 landed easier than the ArrowsRC Viper. (I’m not an engineer or very smart, but it’s ground effects makes it glide in smoothly)
    I had prepared myself mentally for a “One and Done” on the maiden. Flew it 3 times on Maiden Day. Can’t wait to get it back out again this weekend.

    • @IansRCExploits
      @IansRCExploits  2 роки тому +1

      Yes they are fab!! I snapped my T-33 in half Lol

      @@IansRCExploits you did not! As good a pilot that you are? Had to be mechanical failure. It’s funny the differences we all have with the same planes. With different weather, different setups, different transmitters, I’m not sure why I’m surprised. I’m just glad I’m over that “crashing 10 seconds in on the maiden because something was reversed, didn’t triple check the CG, prop torque, etc.

    • @IansRCExploits
      @IansRCExploits  2 роки тому +1

      Yes mine tip stalled on the last turn before landing!! It was a maiden flight and I went with the factory CG which personally I think is wrong!! It's fixed now and with it's new CG of 67mm flies very well 😄👍

    hi i had a koysho t33 way bk with a brushed fan unit ohh must be 1998/9 ohh such fun launching it when it flew well soso true story flying on the beach i got confused and was flying a sea gul then i noticed my t33 in a pile of bits brushless motors were to late to save it

    That flew like it’s a different plane. You commented on how the CG is critical on these small jets, so the wrong CG in the instructions is a major fail.

    • @IansRCExploits
      @IansRCExploits  2 роки тому

      Yes it is a bit disappointing!! If the CG in the manual had said 65-75 as opposed to 75-85 I probably wouldn't have crashed!! Thanks for watching and commenting 😄👍
