By far, the best review of the Arrows T-33. Excellent description of the battery/CG placement. 4S all the way! Looking forward to future top notch videos!
OMG!!! Between Bubba's misunderstanding of the term "hand tossing", and your use of "old man glasses" I was laughing my axx off!!! Absolutely great mix of humor and flight demo. This little thing just looks too cool, and yes indeed, she flat out books on 4s! Keep the great content coming my friend, all the best to you and Heidi!
Loving the channel. Most specifically the FMS cub video. Would love to see some more footage on that one. Thanks for giving all of us RC heads something to watch and enjoy!
Thank you very much for the kind words! The Greg Miller video was fun to do and that is a great plane. You'll see it again at some point. We have some more STOL plane projects coming, and eventually we'll put a compilation of STOL flying together with new/never seen footage.
Fantastic review if a great model aircraft, very useful information thank you....now I must go and double check my vector gyro setup....wonderful shoutout to Ian....
@@ModelAV8RChannel - I have done some checking - but need to explain that the VECTOR unit installed in my T-33 , had to be purchased as a separate item (the Vector is not provided with the ARROWS T-33 or Hawk here in the UK) - I purchased a vector for the T-33, it came without instructions - here is how the LIGHT INDICATOR WORKS - SOLD - SAFE, FAST FLASHING - AS3X, SLOW FLASHING - OFF, I would also like to add that my CG is set to 70mm from leading edge at root of wing - (not as Ian has it) - I find the T-33 fly's really stable at this CG and one can Glide it down for a landing should it be necessary - like you suggest, I only intend to use SAFE mode for Hand Launching (which I use the underbelly finger holes for) no issues at all.... I hear what you say regarding 3s v 4s - so I will stick to my 3s set up ...... (for now) Stay well and Stay Safe - Martyn.
Very good my friend...glad you have the Vector system sorted to your liking. Makes sense to me 70mm would be good as well, and as you know that is still a good bit forward of what they recommended in the manual. I heard yesterday they have a CG addendum on the website, but all the manuals are still wrong. Take care my friend...looking forward to your next vid!
When I was a kid I was taught hand tossing is wrong 😆🤣 that’s UA-cam GOLD!! Nice demo my friend! Can’t wait to try mine, I will follow suit and go with the same 67mm CG, excellent video and commentary 👍🤘✈️🇺🇸
Hey man thanks for watching! Lol...yeah that Bubba. Boy ain't right. You'll like it a lot man. You can get it at 67mm with a lighter battery more forward and not have to do the tray mod. I just did that as I knew that is what the owner was going to use in it.
Thanks for your thorough review. Like your stile! I flew this babe with 4S and it suddenly shut down the motor. I got also the arrows viper 50mm and this one only shuts off if I fly it full throttle all the time. But it’s a big difference from 3 to 4S specially when launching it!
Very nice walk through on the Arrows 33. T-33s always seem to have such stable flight characteristics no matter what size they are. Although the small jets with a gyro help a lot. Lits of great information and flying Adam!
Thanks very much David! I have to admit I was surprised how much fun it was to fly. Great little jet at a fair price point, and I love the flight time!
I like the sound of that Ian and Cheryl 🤣😂 As always a brilliant review!! Wow you ripped the sky up with the T-33, amazing flying Adam!! As always great filming and editing by Heidi, and nice to see Bubba making a comeback Lol thank you very much for the shout out it's very much appreciated and has already rolled some new Subscriber's in!! Thank YOU Ian! We appreciate you helping us when we started and we love your channel! It's nice to hear it made some folks take a look...I wasn't sure if we had enough audience yet to help very much. You inspired me to take a look at these hand tossers, and your CG recommendation is spot on. You and Cheryl have a wonderful week!
Hi Adam As you would say in the states That wasn't your first rodeo...... Thats the first time I've ever seen a touch n go on a belly lander.. Nice tight flying And you were certainly pulling some nice shapes in the blue... And as for the start of the VID.... PRICELESS MY KIND OF HUMOUR... TOP MAN ADAM KEEP THEM COMING Brian 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Hey Brian! Glad to have you here man! Thanks for watching and the kind words. Yeah that Bubba...he ain't right! Thankfully the T-33 is right...great flyer. I wish I could say the touch n go was my idea, but I saw another pilot at our field do it with a ultra micro belly lander and thought...yep...got to do that!!

Have a lot of flights with the Arrows T-33 only use the 4s 1300 and get over 4 minutes of flight time with some high speed passes and some cursing around. CG's using Ian 67mm without any battery tray modifications. The Arrows T-33 can be fast or nice and scale. Good one Adam, Jeff in LA USA
Yeah lot of folks flying on 4s. Smaller batteries work great to get that CG, but had to mod it for the heavier 2200 4s...it was way nose heavy otherwise. Great flyer for sure! Thanks Jeff!
EXCELLENT upgrade of the battery compartment, and mention of flaws in the model flight instructions; and all the in-depth info; and flight demo. Y'all should git jobs in Hollywood actin'...
Thank you Miss Gina! Hey...you don't have an EDF yet do ya? Hmm...one of the Arrows 50mm would suit your flying field nicely, and they make a BAE Hawk...complete with Union Jack right on the tail...just sayin' . Oh...Bubba says hi...he likes you cause you hand toss a lot.
@@ModelAV8RChannel :o)) Hahaha!! A big howdy, y'all to my new bestie, Bubba! I guess it takes a hand tosser to like another hand tosser! :o)) I do keep looking lustfully at the Hawk and the Viper... we're supposed to be saving money for a house move, though!
Thanks for the review on this. Well said in regards to the gyro needs....I like the Freewing F9 Panther (once the CG is nailed down). It is another one that fly's really well and does not need a gyro. (many of the smaller planes do need them to tame them down and get them to behave.) I will pick one of these up if they get them back in stock. Tell Bubba hello for us!🤣 (good stuff)
Thanks very much for watching! Yeah the little T-33 is a great flying plane. I've actually flown the Panther but it was years ago...I do remember it flew very well. I will tell Bubba you said howdy!! Lol.
Adam do you know how hard it is to build a model and watch one of your videos at the same time? 🤔 Ian and Cheryl make a great couple, we had the pleasure of meeting them twice last year 👍
Lol...sorry Cliff! Focus on the DR1! Yes sir Ian and Cheryl are great. I wish we didn't live on opposite sides of the planet...we'd love to hang out with all of you.
Very Awesome, 4s is a lot faster it moves pretty well, a guy at my club a couple weeks ago had one of those lil EDF hand launch and i was really impressed with it, well a few guys were, i think they sold a few that night lol. I still have my F27 Evo. that has been updated its fast enough for me and not to tiny. it vanished in the trees on film. Gyros are great when you know witch way they work. Keep em flying. Angela said good to see Bubba and asked when you going to let him try flying something?
1500 4s is perfect power to weight for that jer i fly mine fast n hard for about 5 minutes and come down with 50 percent or better left on the battery very efficient on 4s
LOL! Man I looked at the set up page after reading this, can't believe we missed that! Too funny! Thanks for watching us and glad you like our stuff...even when we miss spellll stuff!! (see what I did there) Lol
I didn`t have trust in the stock 30A esc, so I`ve built in a 40 A (max 60 A) esc. I just had to cut out a little bit of foam and, as shown here, glued in a new battery tray with an extra strap. Now I can use all my 4s batteries from 1550 to 2200 mAh. The gyro instruction manual proved wrong as told here already.
Good stuff AV8R. I'm glad someone finally made a pull with a watt meter on the 50mm jets on 4s. My brain shudders when lacking information.... especially on websites.(technical data) I think you scratched his paint with the tuoch n go 🤣. AirHammer out!!
Thanks man! I still don't know how they are holding up...I guess there's a lot of margin with those ESC's Yeah thank goodness it has skid plates and servo arm covers!
Nice little hand launching jet! I'm very impressed with the flight time&performence. They mess up the translation of gyro instructions all the time. lol. I guess all the manufacturers back in China are trying to come up with their own versions of AS3X&SAFE. Which is a good thing for the hobby in general. More beginner-friendly models will bring more people into our hobby. Thus, more profits for manufacturers, and more products for existing hobbyists. Maybe another year or two. Newcomers no longer need to spend 400 bucks for a pair of basic 6CH RX and TX.
I was really impressed with the flight time...of course the bigger pack we used helps. I'm with you I'd like to see the price of electronics come back down a bit. Thanks for watching!
I have the arrows viper and hawk, they fly great on 1300/3s nice and light prefer a bit more speed to more run time,I personally wouldn’t fly it on 4s with that small 30a esc you could use a smaller 4s battery to fit better great flying by the way subbed
Hey thanks for watching and for subbing! We really appreciate that! I agree the best way to make sure on 4s is to change the esc...that said our buddy Scott who owns this one has about 100 flights on it now on 4s with the stock esc. To be fair though he manages throttle very well.
Thanks for watching! It has plastic skid plates underneath and covering the servo arms...thats how I get away with the touch n go's off the geo-textile. It would do fine landing on dirt/sand I think. Gear would be fun to play with though...
By far, the best review of the Arrows T-33. Excellent description of the battery/CG placement. 4S all the way! Looking forward to future top notch videos!
