I just picked up my first pair of a Ariat boots with a square foot toe and im in love. It's true what he said. As long as you feel confident in them, that's all that matters.
Nice video. I have 25 pairs of high end exotic Cowboy boots in a lot of toes: J,R, 1x,0, French & a snip toe # 5. Personally I think the J &R toe are the most versatile. The French toe is the most dressy in my opinion and looks really nice with suits & sport coats. I agree with her on the J toe being the best! Thanks for sharing!!
J toe for the win!!! Whoop! When I got my Alvies, even though they’re more of a 1/4 than a 1/2 size small so they’re a tad snug, they’re killer. I love wearing them, I love how I look in them. And it’s different. Not many people walk around with J toes so they stand out. I like it when I’m at a store and another dude wearing boots checks my boots out. They’re awesome.
Confidence has a lot to do with it. What ever the shape. But size of the person, the cut of the pant and texture of the boot all have an influence. Knowing how to pair the right boot with the right outfit and ..attitude make it all a nice package.
I think it depends on the situation. Take square toes for instance. They tend to be on more casual, all-day-wearing type boots because they offer a little more room in the toe box. Then on the other side with pointed and snip toes, they’re a little more formal and go well with dress clothing and suits. I personally go for the square or round toe most days, as those are most comfortable because I have abnormally long toes.
Glad to see the two of you today. As far as the boot toe shapes go Brynna pretty much nailed it. I think that the wide square toe is very boxy looking especially on a thin framed body shape. However, if the square corners are removed and the toe shape changes to look like the medium square toe of the lizard skin boots they immediately become more dressy looking. The U toe shape, especially in a more rugged hide, can make the boots look more like work boots. The other toes shapes like the French toe, the 7 toe, the snip toe, and the J toe all give a more classic and/or dressier look depending on the confidence shown by the guy wearing the boots. The outfit he wears will also make a big difference as to how the boot’s toe shape will look. Another thing that can easily change how the boot looks, no matter what the toe shape, is how well maintained the boots are. Even though the pointier toe shapes may show more nicks and scrapes, that can be easily resolved by keeping the boots cleaned and polished. This was a very interesting video. Well done Brynna and Jeremiah!!!😊👍
I live in the UK and regularly wear western boots. Frye, Sancho, Tiny Mora. All different toe shapes but I prefer the nipped small square toe. However, I bought a pair of Indian Motorcycles branded Caborca boots. I love them! Very stiff, feel safe in the on my bike but feel very self conscious because the toes are so very pointed.
I definitely agree with Brenda's choices, she is right on! My 1st choice is Lucchese's Seville Sq toe. A medium Sq toe. 2nd choice medium toe & not double stitches. Another style that I like is Frye's calvary boot. Be nice if you feature this boot with or without the ring.
Hi Jeremiah, & Brenna, I just got back from boot shopping in El Paso, Texas, at Tony Lama, & Justin factory stores. My sister was with me, I ended up with a very cool made in U.S.A. Justin boot, with a toe very much that Brenna said she loved! Hey you two keep showing off how you feel about eachother. I hope your music goes to the next level for the both of you.
It would be interesting to see a video on the different toe style popularity at different time periods, and how different regions have different style preferences. Thanks!
In TX, its wide square toe. But its always good to have all toes. 90% of my boots are wide square toes. Anderson bean all day comfort. Tony lama has some nice j toe. French toes are awsome
Yes I agree with her I don't understand square toe cowboy boots they're just not cowboy boots western boots are pointed for a reason it's so you can slide your foot into the stirrups on the saddle and if you're thrown off the horse you don't get caught and dragged a real western boot is not Square them square toes look like they got chopped off! Awesome video you've got quite the collection I got quite a few exotic skin western boots just got ostrich but the one I need is Gator that's my next pair.
Recently bought a wide square toe and initially thought I liked it but after wearing them a couple of times didn’t like em after all. Felt big and clunky
Really enjoy your videos, I have a pair of 30 year old Tony Lamas drum beaten leather with a J-toe, The leather is super soft, I have charcotfoot in both feet and can no longer wear them but I still keep them on display, They give great confidence, keep up the great reviews,

I prefer to wear R Toe cowboy boots..But there are also some nice french and square toe boots.
What about x-toe? I have worn boots my whole life, and all I wear is x-toes. Many guys love this style as well! I have over 200+ pairs both stock and custom. I get compliments on my boots all the time.
Exactly, its funny I have some boots that my girlfriend didn't like at first but after several months to a year she thinks they look awesome on me cause I wear them all the time lol
Hmmmm. Very interesting video. I am a 5th generation Texan who wears cowboy boots. Up until a few years ago I wore the "U" or "Wide Round Toe" boots. When the wide square double stitched welt boots were introduced, I thought they were really ugly. In fact, I convinced myself that they were a fad that would not last. However, they caught on like fire in Texas and suddenly every guy was wearing them. I was forced to reconsider and take a second look. As a result, I became attracted to them. I decided to purchase a pair and LOVED them. I like the look of the wide square toe boots as well as the fit. I wear Dan Post and Cody James brands. They fit perfectly right out of the box. No break in time needed. Wide square toe boots, in my opinion look very masculine, sexy, and they are the most popular boot style in Texas as well. One doesn't see the narrower toe styles very often in Texas. Bottom line, enjoyment of wearing cowboy boots depends entirely on personal preference. By the way, in Texas sharp pointed toe cowboy boots are referred to as "cockroach killers."
Hi Rex Lex. I am french and your last comment was really informative to me. I like pointed toe cowboy boots like the J toe. You claim that square cowboys boots are more famous in Texas than pointed boots. But is it considered really old fashion to wear some J toe boots ? Can you still see some ? Thanks for your answer , Merci beaucoup !
Cockroach Killers!!! LOL, Texas is awesome, can you tell me why pointed toe boots have this name? Enquiring minds want to know. Btw, I was in Amarillo last week and picked up some Rios square toe boots, they look the business. I can tell this style is the most popular too because they're all displayed at eye level at Cavenders.
Square toed boots are for squares. Stop trying to clomp around in what all the teenagers wear. Ropers are better and look way better and are way more comfortable !!!!
Great video! And I agree with her, it's what will bring out our confidence and make us guys feel good...well, except for the duck feet look LMAO! Btw, my wife has said a couple things about some of the boots I've had on. First, she tends to think of suede boots as something more for women's footwear. Second, she has commented that some of the narrow snip toes can look too feminine for a guy. She likes the narrow square toe also on me. Her favorites on me would be the Roper toe, the J-toe and the narrow square toe of like my Ariat Sports shape. Thanks again for the cool vid you guys!
Bryanna has good taste for sure. My girl says she loves all of my boots that I wear. She even let's me skip dates to see what's new in boots LOL. I cant go wrong with this !
okey for exotic fancy cowboy pointy are always best but a rancher style or with taco shape cap hat some ariat square toe boots looks best ;) i should be a stylist lol
Lucchese ropers for comfortable night out on the town. Olathe boots with cutter toe when you're in the saddle. Anderson Bean wide square for comfort if you're working on your feet all day.
I’ve been saying for years that the square toe style should go away, it’s never an attractive look, especially on the ladies. Make their feet look way too big. That being said, I guess to each their own when it comes to style.
I mainly wear wide square toes and square toes. I have two j toes and one snip toe for dressing up and dancing. But main style in Cali is square plus I used to rope so I wear roper square toe boots a lot when on ranch and riding
I have 3 or 4 pair of western boots. Very wide rounded for a work situation and a more U toe for casual or going out for dinner or some other event. I wish you would have discussed a little about which was more comfortable wearing. I know not every one's foot is the same, but I would not wear the most attractive boot if it is not comfortable.
Good way to demonstrate so many toe shapes. I like R toes and a 7 toe. I have some wide square, but they look more like shoes than boots to me. But I know some who love wide square toes as there first choice. My just be because there easier to fit. I do get complements on the boots I have in wide square, but they still aren’t my favorite. Thanks you two for another Dynamic Duo Production!
Great episode concept, congrats on a beautiful wife. Some advice on boots or anything else - be true to yourself & wear whatever YOU like that lets you be you. (and don't care whatever anyone else thinks)
I wear the R toe daily, love them. When I step out its the J toe. The wide are too dull. I tried the wide toes and looks like they ran out of leather. Give me the R or J toe any time.
I agree with your wifey, when you put on your fancy boot wear, can’t help to feel good and my wife knows cuz she looks at me and says ohh lord here we go.. you think you look good. My come back is no I’m married I don’t look good I feel good….🤣
Great video Jeremiah and Brynna I live in El Paso Texas a border town and some of the folks that come from mexico wear the Alladin pointy toe boot....looks horrible well at least they're not for me. Keep up the good work guys.

I love the French toe Because it’s not a square toe but you still get lots of room. I also like them because you can get them in exactly your size without going to size up because of a point
I use to ONLY wear square toe dan post boots. I’ve know been on the hunt for vintage USA made dan post and have grown a love for the R toe! Hey Jeremiah you should do a video on boot trees!!
I’m a big fan of the square toe boots. I love that medium square toe two wide square toe. Now I am a skinny dude like you but I’m a short skinny dude coming out at about 5‘7“ not as tall as you are but everyone tells me I look my best in square toe . Now I’ve tried brands from JB Dillons, Justin‘s and Dan posts and all three of them fit totally different plus I have really small feet to wear I have to wear a six 6, 6 1/2 to a 7 with extra extra insert . But I mean in the end like your wife said it’s whatever you feel confident in I think that is what attracts a woman even more
I feel like I look terrible in every one of those toe style boots besides the square toe and the R toe. I'm a pretty wide shouldered guy, I'm 5'10" so I don't mess with the Long or pointy looking toes. But I love the video.
My old man always wore a square toe boot and that’s all I’ve ever worn so I have never liked pointed toe but my grandpa use to wear a pointed toe so I also feel like they are an older generations boots
Moral of the story, color is more important than style. Another thing to think about, the first toe styles are generally narrower boots than the square toe. (I can't even put on the boots that come to a point, and going to s wider width does not work.)
Color is important based on your preference but it's a myth that round toes are all more narrow. People just need the right width size and any toe shape will work
I prefer round toe cuz my wide foot. But it boils down to preference and really not someone elses opinion. Thanks for another great video man looking forward to another coffee an music soon!
Le Toe Francis is my fav. Double wide (double welt wide square) not so much. I do belive your build, foot size and what you wear does make a difference. My 2nd fav is Cutter to be followed by single welt Square (narrow)...did someone forget to cover these? Is there a sequel coming??
I am missing the narrow square toe boots which are often considered as "biker" boots but still have a kind of Clint Eastwood western style. Like Sendra 3091 for example.
I am in the u.k the only boots i constantly wear are the Mayura snip toe very pointy and sloping heel, i think they are great i am not tall but slim and 5 ft 7 and erm early 60s but don't give a damn what anyone thinks been wearing some type of cowboy boots since primary school.
Yeah it is true pointed toes do you get beat up and scratched up a lot.. for me I'm a square toe it's more like a working boot type. It's also simple and most ladies know you're working man. Yes it does come down to the color what is the right color ??
I’m finding I don’t really hate the square toe, it’s the double stitch welt that really irks me. Also, my girlfriend makes fun of my j joes for being boots her grandfather wears.
I am looking to buy my first boots in 25 yrs. I have had T.L’s and Justin’s but I am considering Luccase’s. My budget is around $400.00. I would like American made. What might you suggest?
Lucchese is a great brand. also consider Rios of Mercedes. Same awesome quality but more bang for your buck. No "Lucchese name tax" lol. Also check out Rios mid line Anderson Bean. Great quality, fresh styles, great value. I own all and love them.
I loved the pointed toe with the wood riding heal with slick leather soles when i was riding alot. Now that I don't ride and am old love the round toe with the work boot low heal and rubber sole.
I just picked up my first pair of a Ariat boots with a square foot toe and im in love. It's true what he said. As long as you feel confident in them, that's all that matters.
Good for you
Same bro square toe ariats just pickednsome up a month ago 🔥
Fantastic. That’s what westerns are all about. If you feel like a boss man wearing them then mission accomplished!
My first pair of cowboy boots ish were Haley Davidson boots but I want to get a pair of ariat boots
Round toe boots scream I'm 65 or older
For me as a Dutch man i vote for the snip and j-toe ones, love them pointy and they will look great on you.
You and your wife are a very nice looking couple. Happy Valentine's! (New subscriber here.)

In West Texas (Pecos)we wear wide square toes no matter the age .
Your wife is delightful and has great taste in boot styles. You overkicked your coverage there, my friend!
French toe rules in my book, especially the Luchesse toe.
I don’t know if it’s just me but the U toe always makes feet look smaller 🤷🏻♂️

Those bull hide with the red shaft are my favorite! I know your wife liked them the least, but that toe is the most practical and comfortable.
Great vidja she complemented you and she is right everyone is different so one style of toe probably wouldn't work for every guy

Lucchese ropers for comfortable night out on the town. Olathe boots with cutter toe when you're in the saddle. Anderson Bean wide square for comfort if you're working on your feet all day.
I can’t wait for the wide bulky toes to go out of style so manufactures will make boots for cowboys again
I've always hated that style. Not only are they ugly, they are also impractical for actual cowboy use.
I’ve been saying for years that the square toe style should go away, it’s never an attractive look, especially on the ladies. Make their feet look way too big. That being said, I guess to each their own when it comes to style.
everyone has their own opinion on boots
Wide square toe looks like clown shoes so ugly
Nice topic & it was good to have your wife in this.

I prefer round toe cuz my wide foot. But it boils down to preference and really not someone elses opinion. Thanks for another great video man looking forward to another coffee an music soon!
Exactly!! Good stuff. Thanks for watching. More live streams soon!
I wear Chisos #5 snip toe! My girl loves them!
Makes sense! That's such a good looking boot!
@@JeremiahCraig yeah man, my everyday wear!!!
My favorite is the j toe
Le Toe Francis is my fav. Double wide (double welt wide square) not so much. I do belive your build, foot size and what you wear does make a difference. My 2nd fav is Cutter to be followed by single welt Square (narrow)...did someone forget to cover these? Is there a sequel coming??
I don't have that shape in my collection currently but I look forward to it! I want a rattlesnake narrow square or 7 toe
I am missing the narrow square toe boots which are often considered as "biker" boots but still have a kind of Clint Eastwood western style. Like Sendra 3091 for example.
I was really hoping you would wear the blue Stetson boots on your wedding day.
Hello! Is the French Toe a medium squared toe? Or was it rounded i couldn't tell
All I wear is square toe and my wife loves em!
Gotta keep the wife happy!!
Haha the J toe is classic for sure!
LOL!
I started wearing cowboy boots in the 60s, evetybody wore pointed toe boots or harness boots.
The lizard boots are awesome ...
My first pair is r toe but I feel like imma be made fun of because everyone around me wears square toe
A French toe may lead to a French kiss lol 😜 😂
haha! You never know!!!
i'm an Ariat guy no matter what toe they have. They are all really comfortable.
Great subject!
Thanks buddy!
I loved the pointed toe with the wood riding heal with slick leather soles when i was riding alot.
Now that I don't ride and am old love the round toe with the work boot low heal and rubber sole.
I got wide stocky shoulders so everyone says I look good in wide square double stitch welt
My wife prefers wide square toe. It is very regional. But skinny guys do better with non square toe and bigger guys do well with wide square
Good information,I will keep this in mind hahaha
Good luck out there!
I love the burgundy boots.
The fact that I got sum wide toe boots on there way rn me watching this like 😱🤦🏽♂️
Try the ariat m2 pants with the square toes, I think the combination of these Jeans and square toes look good
Affirmative.
Cool video man, as always.
In my xp girls prefer the j toe and vomit at the idea of anything larger than a French toe.
I've heard similar and that's also my experience haha! Thanks for watching!
You guys didn't do a old school pointed toe ... thats what I really wanted to know . My wife likes them but I never had and I feel dumb wearing them.
