K-Train. Thank you so much for these Impala vids! My friend and I were going to try this sway bar replacement and the trans-pan drop and these tutorials will be beyond helpful!
Nice video. I watched a few videos befor i attempted this on a 2000 regal. Working in the gravel driveway i dreaded dropping the frame and unhooking the steering. I decided to try and unbolt both tierods and fold them out of the way. This let me rotate the swaybar up and slide it out with no problem at all. I unbolted the bushings on the passenger side first and it seemed to help get that 15 millimeter bolt out on the drivers side bushing a little easier.
I changed on my 2007 Impala LT and didn't have to lower the subframe at all...
I only had to remove passenger side tie rod out so I could turn sway bar up and slide it out...
You never thought of that?
Vucijak86 where’s your videos ????
A trick: you can watch movies at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Brooks Salvador Definitely, been watching on flixzone for since december myself :D
Absolutely true. All this rack disconnect and sub frame drop not needed. Remove passenger wheel. Pop off outer tie rod. Pull sway bar out.
I’m doing this on my ‘04 Monte Carlo somewhere next week. I hope I’ll be able to do this without dropping the frame.
We’re you able to do it without lowering the sun frame. I need to do this also!
much love brotha thanks for this
Is this the same procedure for a 2006 Impala LT 3.9?
Awesome video. Thank you so much.
Yes from 06 to 2014 all models are the exact same platform.
I gave you a thumbs up but I’m going to try to replace mine without lowering the sub frame
Had to lower it could not get it out without lowering
I don't know why people don't put the year of the Impala in the title so I don't waste time clicking on it
I just watched a guy do it without lowering the sub frame. Sway bar came out the drivers side
You don't need to lower the subframe. It pulls right out driver side to passenger side. Work on cars much?
@@aceofspades339 Been awhile but did you get it changed without lowering the subframe?
@@aceofspades339 Good to know. Thanks man.
I just completed this without lower the sub frame.
2006 impala ltz 3.9
I'm attempting this sway bar replacement today and I didn't want to lower subframe so I'm trying the tie rod removal method any tips?
Ever heard of a flashlight?
dude you don't need to talk so damn slow, LMAO that how slow you think?. second, you don't need to separate the steering column... Thumbs down,,
Ps its rude to point..
on my car you do
The shop destroyed my steering column because they didn't take the pinch bolt out. If you have the base model your ok , but some options make it so you have to for some weird reason. Some get lucky and the damage shows up later. Service bulletins also indicate you do.
Poorly made video. You cannot see much of anything.
