An extremely helpful cleaning tutorial, Kevin. Thank you!
I'm learning HRV in college. Good video. Thumbs up. 👍
Hello!✌🏻 Kevin. Are you all right? You just taught me how to clean the filters on this device, cleaning is very important, I liked the video. A big hug!🍻👊🏻
Hello my brother! I'm all good Ricardo thank you! 🍻👊🏻🍻👊🏻
what about the thermostat?
Gentlemen can anyone solve my query
I have a heat recovery unit similar to the shown one in the video, and it does not have a drian pipe connected to it, same as shown in above video,
My issue is we live in gulf countries were fresh air has lot of humidity, once fresh hot humid air contacts with return air, there is lot of water condensation taking place and water dripping continuously, how can I solve issue
Hi Kevin, great video, what is the best way to clean the plastic condensate line?
The easiest way would be pouring distilled vinegar, if you don’t like the smell of vinegar. Or you can bleach. Allow the solution you choose to sit in the drain for 30 minutes, and then flush it with hot water. Cheers!
@@KevinPon. hi! Would you consider making a video on how to do that? Thank you!
@@KevinPon. because our clear line has a loop in it so I just want to be sure the vinegar won't stay stuck in the tube. Thanks
Hi Cassandra, the easiest way of doing that is by removing the tube off from the unit. Cap off one end with saran wrap and elastic band. Then fill the tube up with bleach or distilled vinegar and cap it off and wait for about 30 minutes. After that rinse with hot water. Doing this with two people will be easier. 🍻
@@KevinPon. hi ! Thank you! Is there a reason the tube needs to be removed? Why couldn't I just pour the solution without removing the tube? Thanks :)
Was wondering if you can just use an air compressor to clean these outside, but I'm sure water will do a better job
I'm sure you can but yes it won't be a thorough clean 🍻
I need more humidity in my house.. will disabling my ERV will help with that? can I remove the core and turn it off for that to happen?
I don't think that will help. You'll need to add a humidifier to part of your furnace if you don't have one or buy separate humidifiers 🍻
Do we have to clean the pipes too?
The furnace guy should clean them too while he/she cleans your vents 🍻
