What's the consequence of not letting the filter dry out before reinstalling them? The system allows for water drainage so I never have let them dry out...

Death by wet filter... it's not worth it man.

I wonder this too. Shouldn't the moving air help dry it out faster? Hmm... Maybe water droplets will collect more dust and make it a bit harder to clean in the future? I'm guessing not a big deal either way.

Why? Step 1 should be take the big thing in the middle out. Then you can take off the green things and clean around the box without it in the way. Seriously

This video is well done and correct for many systems. Mine is a Lennox and the maintenance instructions are printed on the core. Wash with warm soapy water filters and core. Replace either wet or dry. I've had my system 16 years now and have no problems with it with only regular home maintenance. Always follow your models maintenence instructions. Google your brand and model 🙂

You don't have to pull out side rails, just make sure all 4 sides go in

1:20 doesn't it straight up say in the instructions not to wring out the filters?

I have the exact same unit in the video and it doesn't say anything about not wringing out the filters in the instructions. Not sure why it would.

@@MrJohnthefarmer mine must be slightly different, because mine says not to

The core says right on its stickers to never use water on the core. Vacuum ONLY. The dry filter is literally made of paper. You will damage your filter following this person's video. Be sure to read your instructions. You can find them online.
