Ustadji is the God of all the musicians in this present era of Indian Classical Music witnessing all the legends very closely and still so humble !!! Why is he not awarded the Bharat Ratna till now , unclear
I was fortunate to attend a live show of Ustadji at Khairagarh University, Chhattisgarh in 2019 December. It was one of the most pleasant experience of my life.

Sorry Nasreen, you let down the audiences like me who don't know much about these Fine Arts but listen such Maestros not from ears but by Soul. I heard Ustad Ji at Nehru Park, New Delhi with Pt Shiv Kumar Sharma. Believe me I was spellbound with tears in my eyes. So don't suggest that only literary crowd joins these elite audiences.

None of any tabla player in this earth has got that kind of prowess to sit beside the great and legendary Ustad Zakir Hussain Ji ... this could have been a justice if Pandit Aninda Chatterjee was invited in that show.

What a brilliant man, Zakir Husain. He is so modern and yet so classical! Only a genius can carry that and yet continue on his journey of creativity. It is a sheer joy to listen to him play the tabla; but what a pleasure to listen to him talk! Bravo Zakir! Live long.
Besides a great Maestro, he seems to be nice a gentleman with fine education, well studied and well read. He can talk about anything. Look at his vast knowledge and experience from almost every single layer of the society. He is so natural and humble. Great.
