Just back from watching him play live at 71 as if he were a teenager. True he can give you goosebumps times infinity, but he's also a fabulous human being, so light-hearted and modest and with a great sense of humor. Love the way he's still a child at heart and always eager to be taken on new musical journeys by both novices and established artists. Feel so blessed. Wish you health, strength and happiness, Sir! 🙏🥰
This man like anil Kapoor never ages I've grown old but I remember mile sur till waah Taj till now same looking! His tabla was my 1st attraction to Indian classical music in my childhood
Hi Simi, Lovely interview. I had never seen this episode. Always admired Zakir Hussain ji& his music. Yday came to know that he's no more. I knew nothing of his life and struggles. Being the son of a great Tabla player I assumed he had an easy life & just flourished with his talent. The interview brought out his struggles, sense of humour, sweet& adorable nature while giving an insight into his love and marriage. ❤❤
It's heart renching to hear this enlightened soul to get payment as just food. I pity the souls who did this....so much of negative karma here....but on the positive side, it made who this entity is who that man it was...and we are blessed to just share breath with this maestro...God Bless!!!
I love you Simi Grewal Ma'am.You are an epitome of Grace and Humble.Best anchor of this era.Miss u Ma'am a lot.Plz come again with new series of your show.
@@darshanathapa99 Our country is full of people like you today. If he acts like a true muslim, you would call him orthodox, if he doesnt ,you conplain about him not being a muslim. What are you? I wonder..
This interview is so cool.I wish there was part 2.i lost myself watching this pair and Simi mam.I didn't feel it like a interview,it's more like conversation credit goes to my dear Simi mam
Thanks Dr.-Ut.Zakir for his 1986 HMV solo CYAN punjabi audio album, the ultimate in percussions / Baya = old yellow skin, good sound, good 'rela' played, Treble = ala & tight skin, Bombai dhulki U Manna Dey tabla here, good discipline... adaptation, 1987 Bap(p)i Lahiri film, Tapas Pal Zakir look 'Guru Dakshina', song esp. 'Aaji e prabhate, dhrupad', good tabla with good baya pressure: Rozario, Kolkata, India, SHARE plz. (Phool lal hi hoy / harmonium).❤

The last couple of seconds are enough to let the world know why he is the greatest.

wonderful person ; he is the role model of MUSLIMS in india
Educated, liberal and broad minded
What liberal and broad minded muslim, he is happy for his children to be baptised. He is not a muslim.
