I’m glad the Sammy Super A is working out for you so far. I’m really glad it will get used again. Please do a video of the clutch replacement. Just a thought.
@@Jtwes Hey Joey, once you put a better cutting edge on the blades I suspect you will like the mower even more! You may even end up keeping it? Have a blessed day.
Great looking Super A, we have a few of them. One with 6ft woods finish mower, 1 with 5 ft woods finish mower and one with sickle mower. I enjoy them all.
Y’all gonna have to tighten up,I’m not sure I can wait seven days for another video to come out lol Keep doing what your doing,I enjoy the videos and most of all God Bless you and your family!!
Hey Joey, that’s just like the superA I’ve been working on. Might want to check the gear oil level on the 90 degree pto box. The one I bought had been ran without oil and ruined it. It has its own fill plug. Mine also weeps antifreeze down to a level it likes. I love mowing with the little fellow.
Havnt got to watch lately between work and farm , great yll got yll a Super A , your som will love it , I still have my fathers Super A 52 model , he brought it new , still has original engine , runs great .
"Top pocket find", LOL! You've been watching "Curse of Oak Island". As far as the water level on a Super A they don't have a water pump and thermo-cycle. They will find their natural level about 2" down from the radiator cap level and will lose the excess water until they reach it. I found that out doing research on the Super A this past spring but forgot the exact level. If gas is draining into the carb from the tank when shut down it should leak out a porous copper or brass plug on the bottom of the air intake side. That way it can't over fill and drain into the oil. I try to remember to close the valve on the fuel bowl because several of them leak on our tractors. As far as the Woods mower I've seen them selling for $1000 or more and Fast Hitches for $150 sometimes, but none close by me. I'd like to get one, but don't have any fast hitch attachments for the Super A. I don't know if the 140 that we are getting next week has a fast hitch or not. I need to go check it out and see what attachments are coming with it. God Bless!
That Super A must be a fairly early one. It has the 1101355 generator and the cut out. In 1950, they went to voltage regulation and a more powerful 1100501 generator. Also, this one does not have a pressure cooling system like the later ones have.
Hey Joey, i was going to buy one of the temperature gauges from Brandon to put on my 100 and he said the farmalls didnt get hot enough to move the gauge. He said he has sold several of them and everyone said they never moved hardly. So what you saw is normal. I have one of those woods l 59 mowing decks on my Allis Chalmers B and love it. They work even better on the farmalls because of the extra gear. Nice Super A.
This is the first video of yours I have watched. I Subscribed. I am an IH man, too, and I like the Super As, although few are around here. We have different IH tractors in this part of the world as we do different work. I would like a Super A someday and am looking for one with the touch control. I have a 5' belly mower but my 240 is too wide for it. I agree 100% with your political views. I am also glad that you're a fellow believer. God bless you always.
Good video Joey. I agree, people just do not seem to have respect for others, many do not even respect themselves. Have yall considered keeping the mower as a backup to the zero turn?
Nice video. love the super a. im restoring my pa's now. I had discovered some interesting facts about the temp gauge barely registering. seems that it has to do with location of the probe in the bottom water neck. By the time water thermosiphons through the upper portion of the radiator and back to the lower end its already cooled way down. That simple system is amazingly effective in conjunction with the powerful fan behind the radiator. If the temp probe could be installed in the top water neck it would more accurately show the running temp of engine. Thanks for video . I'll be watching more.
I believe I'm going to send you something to help you out with that gas-checking situation. I got tired of using a hammer handle myself. May take me a few weeks, but I'll get it up there.
I just put a few gallons of gasoline, I installed a "T" fitting on the carb inlet and drain and run it out of fuel when I'm done if it's going to sit for any length of time. No more gunked up carburetors, and fresh gas when I go to use it in the future. Works for me. PS I do run 1oz - 2 cycle oil per gallon (128 to 1)in my gasoline. Good luck from South Jersey
But it ran without smoking. So it's probably not in there. Coulda leaked out around clamp & evaporated? I don't know, just an idea to check. I do know my 140 dumped fuel in the air cleaner until it leaked all over. Lol
That's squirrel damage to the Hastings corn. If you figure out how to stop it let me know in a video. If they ever find your corn they'll tell all their friends and won't stop until it's all gone.
Was hoping to get to Sammy driving his tractor in the video. I know he’s young, but I was disking and bush hogging on a tractor at the age of 10 unsupervised. As far as your political views, as long as you are a Christian and a follower of Jesus, political views don’t matter to me. God bless you and your channel. Keep making them videos! ❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing the video Joey. Looks like crows are working on the corn also. Old super A runs pretty good. Someone put that temperature gauge on it. Everyone we had and the ones I ran didn't have one. They are thermosyphen systems so they don't use a water pump of course. You are so right about the way people are getting these days. They better put their faith in Jesus and not worry so much about the ways of the world. Take care.
@@Jtwes hey there. I know you are trying to get a fast hitch for the tractor. I have an extra 1 bottom and I have a big harrow that needs discs but is complete if you are interested. I'll try to get in touch with you or you can try me. Take care.
I vote for Jesus! I agree with you sir..I'm 66 don't like politics. .politics is like a sewage ditch..no matter what side you're on it still stinks..love those tractors. ..
Your temperature gauge may not go past cool because your tractor is strictly gas. Gauges were originally put on Super A’s with a kerosene-gas engine because they’d also have radiator shutters to heat up and burn the kerosene. The gauge was so you could know when to open the shutters and regulate cooling when working it in the winter. Some people put temp gauges on gas only super-as because they look nice and can tell you if your engine is cooling correctly. The reason yours won’t move past cool is because on kerosene Super A’s the temperature bulb is installed in a well located on the top radiator neck, thus sensing the hottest water. However, on gas Super A’s the bulb is installed in the low return hose in place of the drain plug, so you’ll only be reading the just-cooled water. Only Kerosene SA’s had the bulb well in the top neck, so there’s my two cents. 😂
Birds will do that to corn. Like Tweety birds....just whatever is around. They eat the ones I leave on the sweetcorn like that and they got into my Indian corn of I left it too long.
The beans were probably non gmo, but were a hybrid variety more than likely. Hybrid usually won't make its parent. That Super A looks amazing, and mows really good. Thanks for sharing. I really hate someone would unsubscribe for that, but I agree with you.. Christ could fix all of it.
Another great video Joey! I love that little super A! Wish I had one! When it comes to politics I think everyone needs to agree to disagree. Every one has their own opinions, but not everyone has Jesus and the morals and values of this country have gone so down hill. I've voted for Democrats and I've voted for Republicans., but at the end of the day I vote for Jesus first . I've learned a lot from watching your channel Joey. Always preciate your content and may God bless!
Thank You Kyle I wouldn’t be much of a follower of Jesus if I didn’t give him 100% of the credit of how I try to lead my family. When I mess up it’s because I deviated from his ways.

If that carburetor was leaking, how would it how fill the crankcase with gas would have to run uphill, fill the intake and then get into the crankcase old John Deere Johnny popper carburetor on top, absolutely would fill crankcase come on man.?
How you vote or what you have up in your tractor shed is your business. I don't hold a person's politics against them irregardless of how they vote.
